This pho is the bomb diggitty!! I'm usually lazy about posting reviews but this place deserves it. Broth so tasty, I didn't even wanna put hoisin or sriracha in. Haha. I'm Vietnamese so I know a thing or 2 about pho.. and this place surpasses my expectations. I had the special combo pho to try all the meat, and everything was good but the tendon was the best part. Even my OG super viet parents approved. Haha. We chatted with the owner a bit after and he said they cook the broth for 18 hours with real bones. I believe it cuz the broth speaks for itself. We come here now and again because it's a nicer atmosphere than a lot of pho places. We've never had issues with service but tonight was TERRIBLE. The young man didn't greet us. Pointed for us to sit down. Asked for a booster seat he points again so we get it ourselves. The only thing good about the meal was how prompt the food was but it's pho so that's standard. In the middle of us having dinner the guy starts to mop all around us with a very strong floor cleaner which we felt was inappropriate. Doesn't put any wet floor signs out. MY daughter slipped on the floor. Who does that?!? So not only do you lack customer service, you lack common sense. Will not return! read more

I have been to many pho places in the area, but hadn't tried this location yet. I've been very sick this last week and the only thing I want when I'm sick, is noodles. My husband went out to get me noodles, but my favorite place (Saigon 8) was closed. So, he decided to try your location. The broth is.... Eh. It's better than Pho Hoa's clear, greasy broth.. Though I think Pho Hoa may still have more flavor. My problem was, your noodles were terrible. It was a brick, and even after heating the brothers and adding to the noodles.. Then, warming the whole bowl, the noodles didn't loosen up. I started grabbing the noodles to string apart and they just shredded into broke noodle bits... All of it. It just shredded apart. People who rate this a 5 star must never eat pho at other places or maybe I just got a lackluster broth. Ambiance of the place was good, clean and nice looking inside. The server was some young guy who looked liked he'd rather be chasing Pokemons than working but prompt. Okay... I want it to be clear that the star goes for the interiors because it is really nice how this restaurant is set up. I wish they spent on hiring better chefs instead. Or better waitresses. Or better owners. The minute you step out of this awful place, you'll be very much ceratin that you'll never go back. Service sucks! My husband ordered Thai tea from their menu. I asked for Coca Cola. I thought they were joking when they put a can of soda and another can of asian drink in front of my husband. I had to call the waitress again and remind her what happened to the Thai tea and she pointed tot he can in front of my husband and said "that's it". I said, you mind giving us a some glasses with ice and straw like most restaurants do? Sheesh... The food is TERRIBLE! I had the veggies with rice and the husband got the Pho Ga. Blech! The vegetables were not even cooked. I can tell BECAUSE ITS NOT EVEN WARM. It like someone tossed a bunch of chopped up raw vegetables in a bowl and poured some paste on it for sauce. Disgusting! Not only was the rice not cooked properly, it looked stale. Ugh! I expected my husbands Pho Ga to at least be better but who am I kidding. Its warm alright but PHO GA is supposed to be steeping hot, right? Because how in the world would the meat cook in it if its just warm, like baby bath warm. Disgusting part deux! Awful! We told the waitress about it and all she said was sorry. I told her we barely touched out food but I am still soffered to pay if I can at least talk to the manager, who may have been one of the noisy people in the bar who also may have owned the place because they are obnoxious and came in and out of the kitchen. She went and talked to one and came back to tell me that HE'S BUSY. Ooooh-kaaay... my husband is such a gentle sould and paid $23 for that disgusting food. Not my finest moment but with sites like YELP, at least people would know about this horrible glossed-up dump. I had to try this place out based upon a friends recommendation. I arrived at 7pm on a Wednesday. There was no one at the counter to greet customers and I just sat at an empty table. There were two other customers sitting together in the far corner. I found a table to my liking and sat there unattended. While I sat there I had more than enough time to look around. The restaurant is decorated very well and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. The waiter took 4 minutes to come and greet me and provide me a menu. I have been to their website and solely based on their pictures the menu items looked excellent. I ordered the spring rolls and a small bowl of the #1 (Beef & Brisket) Pho. After a couple minutes the spring rolls and the traditional side dish was brought to my table. There wasn't much flavor in the spring rolls and they were at room temperature, maybe warmer. They were served with a side of dark brown peanut sauce. The traditional side dish had bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and lime. The bean sprouts were splashed in warm water before being brought out. Another couple minutes and I received my Pho. I added the still warm bean sprouts into my Pho. I have never had warmed sprouts, but it helped the broth from cooling too fast which was a very nice touch. The Pho itself looked good, but the flavors weren't there. The broth was heavily beef flavored, but was also very greasy. The hot sauce which I presume was Sriracha, was in a red squeeze bottle and seemed runny or watered down, but the Hoisin Sauce was on par. After the meal I was pretty disappointed in the taste of the Pho. There were strong flavors of beef from the broth, but the sliminess of the broth wasn't too appetizing. I had higher expectations but it didn't hit the spot for me. Since I wasn't disgusted by the place I will go back again to give them another try. I'll re post an updated review after. read more

Let's start with the good: Beautiful decor. Love it. Clean. Good spring rolls. And that's what it gets two stars. Vietnamese sandwich is lacking. Obviously nothing comparable as to what you'd find in Tacoma off 38th street. Asian district. Egg rolls are too small and that takes away from the flavor. Pad thai was a total miss. Absolutely flavorless. The sauce is just not there. The pho, the biggest importance - the broth is so bland. FlavorLESS. There is no amount of sauce or seasoning you can put (housin, fish sauce, hot sauce, etc) in to make the pho taste better. Its that (sorry to say) gross to me. I will never eat Pho here, you couldn't pay me. They have regulars. But they obviously don't have learned tastes. Oh well. Staff is nice. read more

I love Pho, but my favorite VN dish is Bun Bo Hue. I've also spent 3 years in Vietnam, including six months in Hue. Bun means noodle, Bo means Beef, and Hue is the City it comes from. Beef noodles, Hue style. However, the Bun Bo Hue here tastes not at all like it does in Vietnam. It seems to be made with a chicken stock instead of a beef stock, which in itself is strange. If I close my eyes and forget it's supposed to be Bun Bo Hue, then I guess it tastes ok on its own merit, but its not Bun Bo Hue. The Pho is good, the sides are good. The Hum Bao are delicious and the sesame balls are identical to Vietnam. Decor and staff are excellent, location is convenient. I will continue to return for these reasons. And, if they change the Bun Bo Hue recipe, I will change my rating. read more

The food has been good on every visit BUT the service (i.e. attention to drinks, miscellaneous requests, refills, etc) is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! On every visit the waiter forgets the drink order. ********Update 2/3/2012********** After the last visit a couple weeks ago in which we walked out, my wife and I made the decision that we will NEVER return to this joint. This place makes a decent bowl of pho. Is it the best pho I've ever had? Not really, seeing as how I was born in Vietnam, have lived in Philadelphia near Chinatown for 4 years while in college, and have a mom that cooks pho like no other LOL. But it IS the best bowl of Americanized pho I've ever had. The service is great. The two waiters I've encountered there on my numerous trips here are friendly and good at refilling our water. The younger waiter tends to not quite remember our entire order, but a quick reminder and boom, there it is. The decor is just beautiful with all the traditional instruments adorning the wall. My friend commented on how modern the place looks and how welcoming it feels to someone who isn't used to Asian cuisine/dining experience. Egg rolls here seem to be smaller than the ones served on the East Coast but they are fresh and fried after you place your order. At least they seem that way to me. The pho is good, portion is only about half that on the East Coast, but the price is good for this area. Bean sprouts and basil were fresh and clean, sriracha is little watered down, tea was nice and hot, fragrant. The spring rolls were decent. I wasn't used to the pork that was used in the spring rolls since it was "thit chin" instead of "thit heo luoc". Stop by to try the pho if you've never had it. It's cooked nicely, maybe not as much spices and seasonings as I'm used to but still good. My friend comes back regularly now for the pho, and it was the second time my friend (caucasian) tried pho. (First time was at Thuan Thien - too much spices and it seemed like the broth had reduced a bit too much so it was salty also. It turned my friend off to pho for quite some time.) Tucked into a newish business park, next to Beau Legs Fish & Chips, this is a rather upscale choice for Pho. Actually, it's the swankiest noodle joint in which I've ever slurped : ) I was surprised that I recognized the proprietress; she also runs the Cho Market on the West side. So, essentially I was served my top notch Pho in a posh, comfy spot! The menu includes an assortment of Vietnamese dishes... But I had my usual - Pho with raw beef and brisket. Trust me, if you haven't had Pho it tastes a kazillion times better than it sounds. And the beef is only raw when they place it atop the scalding broth. It cooks instantly : ) Enjoy!! read more

Ordered at the counter to go. Extremely fast service...less than 10 minutes! The interior is very clean and decorates nicely. There is a small bar area. The to go containers were packed nicely. I had the #2 Pho with brisket and tripe. It was deconstructed, with a large container of broth. Besides noodles and meat, there was plenty of green onions, sprouts and basil. Look. Lacey, WA is finally getting with the program in 2011. I'm from Lacey and back in the dizzle we had a Safeway and Godfather's Pizza.That was pretty much it. Okay, throw in a Micky D's in there too. In the last five years, mass retailers such as Home Depot, Costco and Wal-Meezy have surfaced which brought on more commercial business for restaurants and other shops. It's a good thing. Additionally, small restaurant chains and even ma and pop joints have come onto the scene. I'm liking the variety, even if it's not much. Pho 111 is literally the only pho/noodle joint I know in the Lacey area and honestly, it's not terrible. Chinese food on the other hand in Lacey sucks. However, I was impressed with my recent experience at Pho 111. Staff was polite. Establishment is clean and open. And, they had a flat screen for me to watch college football. My cousin Samantha G. reviewed this spot as well on 10/13. She gave it 1 star. I didn't have what she had, so I can't comment on that. What did have is what Pho 111 should be known for = PHO. And, lemme tell ya it hit the spizzz-ot. The chicken they used was flavorful, not dry or bland. Broth was on point and hot. I was distracted by football and didn't dive in right away into my soup bowl. When I did, it was still hot and delish. Liked it so much I Tweeted about it. Def going back. On my commute through the area I found Pho 111. Walked in and sat at the bar counter. As I was looking at the menu the owner told me Wi-fi was out and therefore they could only take cash. I was about to leave because I didn't have cash. He said, "Order what you want and you can pay me later. Doesn't have to be today." Didn't ask for my data and I even had to ask for the bill. I will be coming back to the Lacey area again and I will make it a habit to support a man and an establishment like this. On top of that the food was just what you would want and the place is clean. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff . I ordered take out. However the Worse Chicken Pad Thai ever. No taste or flavor, weird noodles and hardly any chicken. The beef noodle dish was just as bad but as least the meat had some flavor. But there was about 98 % noodles and 2 % beef . Love this place. Great decor makes for a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. My favorites include the soups (especially pho chicken and pho veggie/tofu), the cold spring rolls, and hot crispy rolls. Portions are large. The small soup could almost be two meals. Only thing I didn't like was the beef ... Kind of dry and chewy but it might have just been that day. Will need to try again. Don't go here!! They gave me PHO that had tons of salt in it. I said something about it (I could not eat it). They came out and asked what I put in it. They claimed NO responsibility for the saltiness. No apology, no offer of refund or other dish. Had to ask for tea and they reluctantly brought out right before I left. I had to ask for a water refill. Brought entire order home. My kids started screaming and crying about the saltiness, so I knew it wasn't me! Go to the Indian place next door. MUCH better! While eating staff carried past two giant size bags of salt (25 lb each I think). So I KNOW they use lots of salt. Don't go here if you value your health! This use to be my favorite place to go get Pho but whatever has happened in the last 2 months has completely changed it! Completely new staff that really don't seem to care about you at all. Both times i've been here since, they have yet to even fill up my water or ask me how my food is. I also feel the quality has taken a huge step back and is lacking TONS. Well, I've been in the Olympia area for 7 months and have only tried about 4 Pho places but I think this one will be my go to. My review is weighed heavily on the spring rolls cuz I'm so picky about how their made in combo with how the peanut sauce is. I will say the peanut sauce isn't the absolute best I've ever had cuz it's so runny and I like it's a little more dense so it sticks to my spring rolls better but it's still super yummy. The rolls are big and crunchy (and cheap) I just wish the tofu wasn't cut up so small (I like the long fried pieces so they don't fall out in my sauce) but whatever I'm just being picky at that point. They're the best I've had out of the four places I've been to! I always get spring rolls and veggie pho and I love the veggie broth. Usually it's hard to come by good, flavorful veggie broth but it's SO good. And their staff is always so sweet and quick with my take out orders. I think I've been there three times and they already know my order. I have not had such lovely customer service anywhere else, and since there are so many pho choices in Olympia I feel like I value customer service way more. My favorite Vietnamese place since my old favorite on Pacific Ave closed a couple years ago. (Although after reading the reviews for Pho Saigon 8, that may change.) Even though you can't eat decor, I have to say up front that this place is blessed with good Feng Shui. It gives off a nice Southeast Asian vibe without being over done. Bright, clean, and really very comfortable, it feels more upscale than most Pho noodle places. The menu is somewhat limited but that's not a bad thing. I'd rather see them do a few things well than stretch things too thin. They certainly do offer standard Pho fare. My usual order is more of a salad than a Pho soup. I wish I could tell you what it is called but both my memory and my Vietnamese suck. It consists of lettuce, rice vermicelli, bean sprouts, fresh basil, and slivered carrots, with shrimp, pork, and egg rolls on top. You douse it all with a sauce containing a touch of vinegar, a touch of sugar, and a dash of fish sauce. I'm generally very liberal with the garlicky Sriracha sauce already on the table. I love it. Always a sucker for Pad Thai, I did give theirs a try and found it not at all to my taste but then some actual Thai places don't suit me either so I won't hold it against them. This is probably my worst experience in the United States . The place looked very nice in the beginning, they brought some water I order some see food #5 and was very quick and look nice. My girlfriend said this was her favorite pho place. When we got there she recognized that the menu was different and was told the owner had changed. When we got in, no one greeted us, we had to wait at least 10 minutes to get menus, and the waiter wasn't attentive to our water. After we got our meals, about 15 minutes in, the waiter comes and tells us that the restaurant is closed and that we needed to leave. Apparently, the owners don't pay the staff after closing. Which sounds illegal. But that is why they hurried us out. Would not support this business. read more

Was very impressed going here. I ordered to go and they had my food ready really fast. The food was delicious and the pho i had ordered came with everything I could have needed or asked for.
