Perfect place to eat after a long drive. We were staying at the Christie Lodge and this place is basically attached. My daughter had Pho with shrimp and I had a combo vermicelli bowl. Both very tasty. Vermicelli noodles might have been a tad overcooked, but tasty nonetheless. The place was packed even at the end of the ski season, so they're doing something right. I was really disappointed with the quality of food at Pho 20. The "Bun Combo" had dried overcooked meat, with 2 little shrimps. The "Combination Fried Rice" came out cold, 1 piece of shrimp that you had to search for, the vegetables were canned NOT fresh! However, the Vietnamese egg rolls came out nice & hot. Surprise! Awesome Pho in the Vail valley! What a nice surprise! We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday, after locating this venue via Yelp. Not a huge selection - like many Pho restaurants - but really good! We both had veggie Pho bowls with veggie broth. The bowls were loaded with veggies and had steamed soy vs fried. This pho here in Vail was good for this area maybe. The pho was hot but as others have yelped on the sweet side. In fact so was the fish sauce for dipping. All on the sweet side. In this particular pho you really need the lime wedges, I used 2. I was ok with it after the added lime but my kids still found it sweet. They are a busy restaurant so by 7 pm dinner, they ran out all drinks. It warmed my souls after skiing but once was enough. Pho bay was the other one I have to try if I have time. Tried this place tonight with my girlfriend after several dinner plans were thwarted. We were seated immediately and the service was so prompt. We were given waters and menus immediately and the staff was so attentive. We ordered veggie spring rolls and a large tofu pho to share. The spring rolls were 10/10- so good. The pho was alright- we had to add a lot of sauces in to make the broth more flavorful and we wished there was more tofu and veggies in it but overall it was warm and hit the soot after a long day of skiing. We ordered some mochi ice cream for dessert- strawberry and mango and it was delicious. We regret not ordering a boba tea because they looked incredible. The prices were very reasonable. There is also a bar inside where guests can sit and order drinks and food. There were a lot of tvs inside playing various sports channels which was a little unexpected but other people seemed to enjoy. read more

Food- The Pho is absolutely delicious! It has for sure made it to my top 5. The broth is amazing! I also ordered spring rolls. They were super fresh and tasty! The peanut sauce needed a little bit of seasoning, but was still great. Service- The only down side was, our server was behind the bar drinking. He was kind of all over the place, but sluggish. Didn't bring us any utensils. We had to ask a few times just for our veggies. Most restaurants bring them out to you before hand or at the same time. We had to ask the only other server for the veggies after he forgot to bring them. The only other server was the one who had to keep helping us, while she took on the work of every table because the male server went out for a smoke break. We ended up giving her a tip for her help. I had a Pho craving while vacationing but I wouldn't have imagined finding a location several hours west of Denver. The location of the place was unusual - located on the lower floor of a hotel with access directly from the parking lot. I ordered the rare beef pho and was totally satisfied with the flavor, quality and portion of the pho. Price wasn't out of line considering the location of the place. The waiters were friendly and efficient. If you're going solo there's a bar that contain flat screens and serve beer & wine. A reasonably priced, delicious food establishment in Avon?! Say it ain't so! This is pho-king awesome! (those that know how 'pho' it's really pronounced will get this) For $8.50 you get a 'small' bowl of pho. By small, I mean I still didn't finish even close to 3/4's. Can't even imagine one human being eating the next size up! I had the meatball option, because I knew it would be cooked all the way (I usually get rare beef, but only from places I know and trust). The soup comes with all the normal fix'ns of thai basil, kaffir lime, sprouts, sriracha, plum sauce, soy sauce, and hot sauce. I use all of these items typically to perfect my soup. Both my friend and I ordered boba. Taro root is favorite of mine, didn't even glance at the other options. For those that have never had taro, I think it tastes like caramel popcorn. No small or large boba option here. Just large, with large straws. I always consider a boba as dessert. One that I can continue to sip on in the car after dinner. If you want beer... you've hit the Asian continent beer jackpot. China, Thailand, Vietnam, etc are represented. Plus, you can have an American cider beer if that's more your speed. Overall this food is ok and will fill you up, the portions are good and the cost is appropriate. The quality of the food is only ok though, and it wont leave you excited or hungry for more. I eat here about 2 times a year, so I still come back and still will. All that being said it is not the best Vietnamese food. Generally at Vietnamese restaurants I get the noodle bowls, and the meat noodle bowls here have kind of an off flavor to them. Typically a noodle bowl should leave a fresh feeling after eating and this doesn't necessarily offer that. The best item on the menu that I have had is their vegetarian noodle bowl, this comes in a brown sauce that makes the bowl taste very good. This restaurant was a little hard to find. I ending up walking through a hotel lobby to find it. Signage was very poor. At the door, there were signs that said wait to be seated. I wait for seven minutes before I was recognized by anyone. After a few minutes, someone came and told to pick a table. I decided to eat outside and it took over 10 minutes for someone to take my order. The food was slow coming out. The Vietnamese Rolls were great. The rest of the order was over cooked.
