    Spring rolls

Well, we found the Pho to be good. Everything else was subpar at best. We ordered a sesame chicken, veggie pho, spring rolls and egg rolls and a side of noodles. What is the sesame chicken at level four spice and it had no spice at all. The fried rice that came with the general chicken was dried out with no flavor. Overall, I do not see me going back.

Red curry. Sorry was too delicious to take pictures first.

Pros. Our wait staff was great. They were really professional and kind. There were two gentlemen serving us. The decor is nice. Restaurant seems clean and well managed. Menu is very diverse with lots of options including many vegetarian dishes. Red curry is delicious. Pad Thai is great as well. I liked the tofu and vegetable rice plate but the tofu was a little dry and not the best. Cons. And these are small complaints. Seating is a bit uncomfortable but I understand they are trying to fit in many tables. The restrooms had one single stall for each men and women. I could see that being an issue during a rush. Overall you could go here often and have new things to try each time. We had a pleasant dining experience and recommend!

Food was delicious! My boyfriend and I come almost once a week we're so addicted. The service is fast and friendly! The portion size is great and broth taste fresh!

I ordered a Combination Pad Thai with beef, chicken, and shrimp, and it was absolutely horrible. The shrimp tasted rancid, and both the beef and chicken had an odd, unpleasant flavor that made the dish inedible. Out of concern for food safety, I threw the entire plate away. When I called to report the issue and ask about a possible refund, I was told I would need to drive back to the restaurant and bring in the food--despite already explaining that it had been discarded. The manager insisted that no refund would be considered unless I returned the order. I've been a customer for quite some time, but this experience showed a complete lack of care or accountability. Expecting a customer to transport spoiled food back to the restaurant is unreasonable and disappointing. I would have expected better intentions toward loyal customers, but unfortunately, this experience has made it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority. This will be my last time ordering from here.

Ambience 4/5 Not a bad place, a really cute we decorated place that definitely gives a pho/Vietnamese restaurant + Christmas Texan vibe! There is plenty of parking outside ! Very clean place Service 4/5 The people were very nice and our waitres checked in on us but for some reason we had to wait really long time far order to be taken. And the food it took a little bit longer as well compared to a lot of other pho places I've been to. Food 4/5 We ordered the pho combo and the pork and shrimp vermicelli and got an ORDER of egg rolls for checking in on Yelp. I gotta say. These egg rolls SAVED ME. They were the star of the show!!!! The pho was pretty good, large size and pretty flavorful soup. They were also generous with the noodles. Their soup was made with more star anise than the ones I'm used to in Cali but overall still very yummy! Now something to know about me is thst I always get vermicelli wherever I go to eat at a Vietnamese place and this was a bit disappointing. I got the spiced pork and the shrimp vermicelli, literally came with two shrimp. Overall wasn't as flavorful as other places I've been. But the veggies were generous and fresh! If you do decide to get this, PLEASE get one with an egg roll if you come here. Overall betweeb a 3.5 to 4. Leaning towards the latter due to the service and the egg roll!

The menu is so vast that you can come in everyday for 60 days and have something different. This is probably our 10th time and we seem to gravitate to our yummy and delicious selections every time BUT today we chose to try the Bun Rieu Crab Meat Noodle Soup - wonderful broth, tender shrimp and very tasty crab cakes. This is certainly a restaurant for adventurous eating experiences. As always, service is always attentive and courteous. I do like the dessert offerings on the menu as well. Plenty of parking and easy access from the street. Quiet enough to carry a nice conversation. We love watching the cooking channel aired on their tvs

After a brief closure, Pho 4 Star has reopened with new flooring and some new plates too. Same delicious food!

Pho 4 Star, I wish I could give you TEN stars! The people are always polite, and the food is DELICIOUS! I've tried the pho, as well as the lemongrass chicken rice plate with a vegetable spring roll, and was blown away both times. I look forward to dining in at some point!

    Large VN Spring Rolls

My parents and I have been coming here for years. It's great to see this restaurant become progressively busier over the years. They do stay busy with takeout orders and dine in, but they are quick to get people in but still provide great service. We never feel rushed and all the servers we have had are great. We've liked everything we have ordered. The large VN Spring Rolls are a MUST. We get them every time. Pho and Vermicelli Bowls are great. Last night they were pretty busy and they usually only do Bánh xèo on Monday and Wednesdays. Luckily they were able to make some. It does take extra time so if you are ordering it just be prepared. I believe they quoted me 30-35 minutes and honestly I don't know if it took that long because I was enjoying the large VN Spring Rolls and catching up with my parents.

I stopped in around 3 PM. First impression from outside wasn't great. Some of the lettering on the sign was peeling, there were a few bird nests around the exterior, and the phone number signage only showed the "210" area code. Still, the reviews were strong enough that I decided to give it a shot. Inside, the menu was surprisingly extensive, with Thai, Chinese, Pho, and sushi options. I briefly considered sushi, but figured Thai was the safer bet given the restaurant's name. One thing that stood out though was that the sushi bar itself was mostly blocked from view by decorations and bottles, so you really couldn't see the fish or prep area. Service started off well. I was seated quickly and the waiter brought menus right away. I asked him whether he preferred the red curry or the Pad Phet, but he mentioned he was new and hadn't tried either dish yet. I ended up going with the Pad Phet because it offered a combo option with chicken, beef, and shrimp. For appetizers, I ordered the Thai spring rolls and seaweed salad. The spring rolls came out quickly and were very good--crispy, fresh, and probably one of the stronger parts of the meal. My entree arrived shortly after and was also enjoyable overall. By the time I finished eating, I assumed the seaweed salad had simply been forgotten. Then, while I was trying to flag down the waiter for the check, he returned with the salad and apologized for the delay. To his credit, he acknowledged it right away. The presentation was nice, although the salad itself felt a bit underdressed. What held the experience back most for me was the overall upkeep and atmosphere. There were quite a few small things that individually wouldn't matter much, but together created a worn-down impression: peeling wallpaper in several spots, empty boxes near the entrance and wine storage area, and wine bottles arranged somewhat haphazardly. Even little details--like the obstructed sushi bar and uneven decor--added up to a space that felt less polished than it could be. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would consider stopping in again when I'm in the area, but the restaurant would really benefit from a little more attention to presentation and maintenance to better match the quality of the meal itself.

As a mom of 2 on the go I loved the food truck location, because I was able to park in front of the business while one of my girls napped in the car. The owner was very friendly. He had a few orders ahead of mine, I know some people might leave if they're impatient but that only peaked my interest more. I was given an electric pad that alerts you when your order is ready so you can wait in your car! I ordered the Chicken pad Thai (medium spiced), and I got my hubby the Chicken pad woon sen (mild). I tried both. The food was delicious! If it is your first time trying it, be sure to start off with the mild spice and work your way up. You know how some places you order spicy but it's not actually spicy; yeah no, his is spicy LOL so for my personal preference I think a mild is best. People don't be discouraged by how the portions look in the picture! Swear it's not those small "meal prep" containers, it's a GOOD SIZE portion. 10/10 will return for sure and I love that there's other food trucks around, so if you and your partner want something different you'll have options too. I will say that the thing that personally frustrated me a little, was the wait time to get my food; but then again like I said there was a LINE ahead of me so yes his food is popular. I think he also has the option to order online, so maybe I'll try that next time. I placed my order around 5:40pm and got my food till 6:20pm. BUT keep in mind everything was freshly made, the taste was Amazing, good portion and it is just HIM working the truck. So maybe order ahead or maybe you'll get lucky and there won't be a long line ahead of you.

We ordered the chicken satay and larb (laab). The "chicken satay" was simply a whole chicken breast served with a coconut sauce. Calling it Thai chicken satay is honestly embarrassing. Authentic Thai chicken satay is marinated in coconut milk, curry powder or yellow curry paste, turmeric, coriander, cumin, garlic, fish sauce, and palm sugar. It develops its signature yellow color and sweet-savory flavor before being grilled on skewers. Please look at the picture and judge for yourself. The larb was also disappointing. It was so sweet it tasted more like a dessert than larb. Authentic larb should be: * Tangy from lime juice * Savory from fish sauce * Fresh from herbs * Spicy from chilies * Slightly nutty from toasted rice powder Instead, it lacked the bright, bold flavors that make larb one of Thailand's most famous dishes. It was disappointing to see two simple and well-known Thai dishes prepared so far from their authentic flavors. I understand that restaurants sometimes adapt recipes to local tastes, but when a restaurant advertises itself as Thai, I expect dishes that at least resemble the flavors and preparation of traditional Thai food.
