I really enjoyed the dipping sauce for the shrimp rolls. The pork spring rolls were also very tasty, though the dipping sauce was not as good as the one for the shrimp. Something was off about the hoisin sauce they had on the table. It tasted off - like what a chinese medicine shop would smell like. The pho itself was ok. They hand make their meatballs in the soup so I enjoyed that. The broth was savory, though not as robust as I had hoped. No doubt they used beef bone broth, likely homemade, but it tasted as though it also had a component of instant broth at the same time. It was still good though. read more

Rating could easily be 4-5 stars. If we could give half stars, this rating would be 3.5 instead of 3. The vegan egg rolls were crispy and very tasty. The beef stew was one of the better broths that I've tasted. I ordered it with bread, which was soft and good to mop up some of the broth. The bowl was small, but the broth was just right and filling with enough beef and carrots to fill me up. Hubby got the combination phò. There was a good amount of noodles, steak and brisket, and one beef ball cut into fourths. As someone else mentioned, the broth was light with not enough depth. Hence the drop with one star. I received a free Thai ice tea since we ordered one munchie and one hungry. Hubby ordered the roasted milk tea. They were out of regular boba so he got popping boba. Both drinks and the popping boba were yummy. Dropped half star because the straws were given to us unwrapped. It was on the serving tray when our drinks were brought to the table. The server took the straws from the tray, then placed it directly on the table. Gross!! He did the same when he served a family outside. No one used their straws. read more

I asked for the vegetable with chicken they could not understand my request. Very small amount of garnish, not enough for two bowls. Super slow service but food was fine. This was my first time having Pho so I really had no idea what I was in for. I knew it was noodles and broth but that was it. My husband is the daring diner, while I tend to be a bit more "safe" but tonight I wanted to try something new. We ordered the Fried Dumplings (shrimp and pork)and the Grilled Pork Spring Rolls to start. Both were delicious!!! I ordered the Beef Balls Pho and my husband ordered the Chicken Pho. I ordered mine without the cilantro and onion so it looked pretty boring but the wonderful host explained to me that I should add the bean sprouts to the bottom of the bowl so they can cook and suggested I add a bit of basil as well. He took the time and explained the different sauces on the table and how to add them. He was very kind and didn't make me feel dumb... I even had to request a fork ‍. I would not have tried the bean sprouts or basil without his suggestion but it really made a wonderful addition! My friend said this was the best Pho in the county and I can assume she was correct because I really enjoyed my meal and the service was amazing! We will definitely be back! read more

This restaurant has improved since their initial opening, which was very good to start. The pho is quite flavorful and the ingredients are plentiful. The fresh basil, sprouts, and jalapeno peppers looked like they were picked this morning. Vegetarian options are available. The Vietnamese egg rolls were well-filled, crispy and not a trace of oil. These have always been great, and are made daily. They now offer a new cold noodle selection with vegetables, steak & shrimp with fish sauce. We were told they are adding Vietnamese sandwiches in the near future. This will be a very welcome addition. This has become a regular favorite place for lunch when we're in the area. This is a conveniently-located, clean (though, spare), and friendly little spot to enjoy some tasty pho with a number of options to choose from. We settled on the brisket and were not disappointed. The broth was flavorful and well-seasoned; the brisket beef tender and tasty. While I often find myself having to add salt to inexcusably lackluster dishes, I was pleased to find my pho bowl needed nothing more to make it better, it was delicious as served and, oh, so comforting on a rainy afternoon. I read that their prices have been raised since opening, but honestly, how can a business owner determine what his bottom line is until he's been open for a while? We found their pricing to be neither unreasonable nor high, but fair, given the generous portion size, how good the pho was, and the great service provided to us. Now that they've been open awhile they can focus a bit more on their decor, which currently looks inexpensively slapped together. No matter where you go. Pho always becomes comfort food when you're away from home. I found this place on Yelp as I was passing through the Atascadero area and I was actually craving Pho!!! This is a cute restaurant on Entrada with a simple menu. I had the combination Pho and a handful of munchies (Vietnamese egg roll, fried tofu and popcorn chicken). Visiting from Fresno & found this Pho spot nearby to where I was staying. I had the chicken pho (#9) & the popcorn chicken as an appetizer. The popcorn chicken was good, nice & soft. Then came the pho. It was actually pretty good, the noodles were well cooked as well as the chicken. They provide bean sprouts, mint leaves, sliced jalapeños, lime & condiments on the table which are (Hoisen sauce, Sriracha, salt & pepper). DONT forget to ask for the spicy oil which makes the pho taste even better. Downed it with a sweet Thai tea. The cashier/waiter was a nice guy overall & mindful of our needs. Dang...ordered here for the first time last week and everything was good (I was the only one there to pick up food). Decided to order again and damn...totally different, if there are people waiting outside, it's going to be a hot mess. Like the previous person commented before, make sure the soup container is completely closed before you put it in your car! Drove a couple of miles down the road and magically I had pho "little trees" essence all over the interior carpet. I also ordered extra pho "veggies"...thinking extra bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño & lime. Nope, literally meant a side of broccoli, carrots and moldy cauliflower (see picture)....Tell them extra pho condiments and not "veggies". What a godsend! This is the only pho in north county, and boy-oh-boy did I need it today. Somehow, I'd never eaten here before, but I'll certainly be back. The pho broth is rich and oily with the bone marrow goodness, precisely what you want, and piping hot. I get my steak on the side so I can cook it to perfection. My only regret... is not having checked in for a free thai iced tea, as they looked scrumptious when I saw someone leaving with a to-go order. This is the BEST pho in SLO county, period. The other ones I tried doesn't compare to this restaurant. My usual order is the steak and brisket and the brisket can be a hit or miss sometimes. When it is super tender, it is absolutely delicious. I do recommend for anyone to try out their appetizers, beef stew or even the sandwich. Best Pho in SLO county! If you have had Pho and not been impressed you need to try this place. Pho is a simple dish that when done right is soooo yummy. Took my wife out last night, I had the vegan Pho she had the steak pho. We were both left with such a good warm feeling inside. I love that pho comes in a yummy neutral way and that I get to doctor it up with the sides and sauces I like. I added the sprouts, lime, jalapeños, basil, hoisin sauce and of course sriracha. I like mine mild, just enough spice to feel it but not take over. We also had the vegan rolls and they were fantastic too. The restaurant was clean and they treat everyone equally. The line to supercharge our car was so long we burned up over an hour just waiting in line so I was starvin marvin by the time we plugged in to charge . The menu is very simple but they had exactly what I wanted ! A combination bowl of pho. The soup was hot and delicious and came out quickly. Yay! So happy to have a pho place nearby! Went here last night around 6p and the place got packed real quick. This is just the perfect weather for it. The restaurant recently had their grand opening and I'm sure they didn't expect this place to get so popular so quickly. Pho was pretty good for central coast standards! Customer service was also good but honestly there was so many people coming in all at once the staff wasn't prepared for it. Either way everyone worked really hard to serve everyone as quickly as possible. I'm glad they are busy and word of mouth has traveled about this place. I hope everyone can be understanding since they are a new business. You can tell they are working really hard. We came on opening night (Husband and I) it was a packed house ! Congrats to Pho 4 U for being new business to Atascadero. We came to try some hot pho and also congratulate them on their opening night. We've gone back since and I recommend my residents, friends and have brought family. I see reviews that say service is slow. Well 1. It's a small town with 1 pho restaurant and 2. there's a reason people are coming back to fill up the restaurant. The soup is delicious and the owners are very sweet/humble people. They remembered me from the first time we came to eat here. Sure there are a few kinks when starting a new business but that happens. I'm sure that those will be worked out, and they will be bringing more people through the door and adding more value to the economic prosperity in our town. read more

A real pho place has finally made it to Atascadero! (4.5 on Central Coast standards.) I'm glad Atascadero finally has some Pho! We got the combination pho and beef ball pho and both were great. Comparable to some pretty good places in the bay, where I grew up (definitely not as good broth-wise though). Prices are good too - $7.99 per bowl at the time of writing this. The fried dumplings (basically fried wontons) were good as well. $4.99 They also have several milk tea options which are pretty good as well, but come with too much ice by default. ($3.99) I hope they stay open for a very long time. It's good to know I won't have to drive for an hour or more just to have some legit pho. read more

Finally something a little different in our area! It's soup season and I am so happy that this place opened up. My wife is from Los Angeles and pho is a comfort food to her, it's something she has cravings for, and luckily Pho 4 U appears to satisfy her. We came in a few days after they opened up and I don't think they were prepared for a full house of customers but I think they handled it as well as they could. They had call in orders non-stop and every table inside and out was full. They were very apologetic and happy to move tables around in order to get large groups together. The food was great. It tasted clean and light. The broth wasn't oily tasting like many others I have had. I am not a pho expert by any means so my opinion doesn't count, but my wife was really happy with it. Really excited to try this place. I placed an order to go over the phone. Arrived and it was ready to go. I took the bag to my car. Set it on my passenger seat and drove home. When I arrived home I picked the bag up to carry it in and liquid dripped all over my center console and lap. I ran inside to find the broth container almost completely empty. I called in and was told that everything was fine when I left the restaurant so this is my fault and responsibility. Needless to say my dinner is not good without broth. Based on this experience I will not be back and can not recommend a restaurant that treats customers this way. read more
