My Dad and I were pleasantly surprised at this place! Green curry with chicken was fragrant and tasty. The bamboo in it was especially fresh and tender. Chicken breast was good. Eggplant was good. We got there about 8 pm We ordered the chicken satay, spring rolls, and beef pad Thai. 4 pieces of chicken satay. Taste good when you add the peanut sauce and the light cucumber and red pepper dressing that has a sweet taste to it. The spring rolls was another light order that was more of my wife's choice. Also good when dipping with the same peanut sauce. As for the beef pad Thai, me and my wife agree it's good.. if not, a bit too sweet. Having been to Bangkok, Thailand and having their pad Thai there. I don't think it's usually that sweet so could be to cater to the American taste bud. Best pad Kee Mao I have had on the central coast. Very fresh and tons of flavor. When I called in for the pick up order they didn't ask about the spice level so I just assumed it would come a bit spicy, being it's Spicy Drunken Noodles. When I got home I realize it has no spice, which I was bummed out about at first but like I said, it had tons of flavor so no harm no foul. We were all served water and drinks were ordered. We ordered dinner and it came out pretty quick. We started with a large win ton soup, broth very good and the won tons were flavorful. They were basically the only restaurant open on Christmas Day and boy were they busy! All tables full, and about 15 to go orders being built on the front desk, line out the door and people trying to get it, it was wild. They were courteous and comped me some soup for the wait, which I'm sure wouldn't have happened any other day. My wife loved her pad Thai, she asked for spicy and it was spicy spicy. My pad woon sen was incredibly flavorful and I would argue it's better than my other go two Thai places. The serving size is standard. I comped some pho which was also delicious broth was great and a bunch of veggies. We also ordered the cheese wontons. The sweet n sour was actually flavor town best I've had. Again not my usual spot nor is it closest to me, but I will definitely try to come back employees were awesome calm cool and collected and we're facing a ton of adversity. Also most recently tried the spicy flat noodle and chili basil with chk. Honestly the flavor is completely satisfying. Not greasy. The star of the show was the pineapple fried rice. Which also has chk and shrimp. Drop the Mic fantastic. If this place wasn't in a strip mall next to a grocery store it would probably be packed every night if the week. Who knows maybe it is. We haven't had Thai food in a while and it sounded really good. It was our last meal before heading back to Fresno. We were greeted when we first walked in and told we can sit anywhere we wanted. There was only one other family that was dining in. They were really busy with their to-go orders though. A lady came out and greeted us and asked what we wanted to drink also asked if we were ready to order. Since we haven't ever been here, it took us a few minutes before we knew what we wanted to try. Around 2 minutes later the lady comes back and asked if we were ready now. Feeling a little rushed, I ordered Pad Thai with veggies, my daughter ordered tofu pho and my husband order Pad Saw Eaw with shrimp and Thai tea on the side. Our food came out quickly and it was nice and extra hot. The flavor was really good too. Serving size were pretty big. I ended up taking a couple bites of my Pad Thai so I can save for later and split the pho with my daughter. Since pho isn't good as left overs. The broth had a really good flavor and wasn't watered down either. We had to ask for refills and napkins and the lady asked if we needed anything else, felt like we were bothering her a bit. We weren't checked on either.... We had to ask for a to go box and for our check. Maybe that's why they had more to go orders than dine in. We would probably do the same the next time. The bar is also unique with an actual tire inside as if the counter was taken from a food truck. The waiter was very nice and brought me a glass of ice water while I looked over the menu. I ordered the Pho with beef and it was delicious. A plate of bean sprouts, slices of jalapeños, and sprigs of basil accompanied the large bowl of broth, rice noodles and beef. I would order it again on a cold or rainy day/night. The second time I ordered take-out of their BBQ short-ribs. The plate included steamed sliced carrots, broccoli, and rice. I substituted the white rice for brown rice. The BBQ sauce is delicious! The beef was plentiful and made for a great dinner. Definitely ordering it again. It's time to update my review, as I've ordered takeout several times over the past several months and have been consistently disappointed. Today I've decided it's time to try somewhere else. The food has a decidedly frozen and thawed out quality to it. The texture of the squash and the carrots is waterlogged softness that happens when thawed food is reheated. I found myself wondering how long my meal had been frozen. Thai isn't too hard to make fresh, amiright? The second complaint comes from the crab wontons. The filling inside of them has shrunk to the size of my thumbnail, which melts away almost completely when immersed in the fryer. The result is an empty coin purse with almost no flavor. What started out as impressive for me has gone downhill over the past several months. Time to try other Thai in the area. read more
