    4/30/25 FYI. Menu

Quality/Quantity - Pork Pad See Ew - My daughter's regular item; it was okay. Just enough for one person. Well if you are a big eater, there might not be enough food. Beef Pad Thai - My order. Similar to above. It was good, but just enough for one light eater. Yellow Curry Chicken - Good thing my daughter ordered this extra dish as we needed all the food. I am also glad my daughter liked this dish as I did not. It was not bad, just not a wow. I prefer my curry a little thicker. FYI - When you add meat to the above, it is $2 more each dish. Thai Green Tea - My daughter loves her Thai Tea, especially since she was NOT able to get it when we went to SLO Do Co Donuts; see other review. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Consistent business, almost a full house the entire time we were here. Clean restrooms. Plenty of mall parking. Open 6 days a week, from 11am or 11:30am to 8:30pm; closed Sundays. Service - Service service kiosk. The team seemed friendly. Price - $60 + tip. Reasonably priced for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1999 and at this location since 2006! I am surprised that my daughter has not taken us here before...?

    Red curry chicken

I'm genuinely bummed writing this because I just moved in across the street and Thai is my absolute favorite. I ordered the red curry with chicken, but the dish was overwhelmingly bamboo shoots with very little chicken. I actually love bamboo shoots, but in this case they made up most of the meal. I also ordered the curry medium, and it was surprisingly mild -- it had almost no spice at all. You can tell the dish has the potential to taste great, so I'm hoping this was just an off night. The potstickers were good, although I had ordered them steamed and they came fried, so we didn't finish them. The server was very kind, just a bit distracted, which I understand since this was a walk-up takeout order. The space itself is small but very quaint, and I could absolutely see myself enjoying a sit-down meal there under different circumstances. I'm hopeful for a different experience next time.

Customer service and food was amazing! I appreciated the fact that we could order from a kiosk and be able to customize our order. We both ordered Pad Thai at different spice levels and Cream Cheese Wontons that were so good we didn't even have time to take a picture. Can't wait to go back!

Fresh rolls - packed full of veggies, good texture, and nice peanut sauce. I wish there was a bit more mint/herb flavor in the roll. Panay curry - nice portion, we got medium spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. Tom kha - again loved that this was packed with veg. Cabbage, carrots, and mushrooms. Lacked a bit of the intense tanginess I was looking for but perfectly tasty and great on a cold day.

Their curry is definitely impressive, it was my favorite between the two options that I got. I've also heard great things about their Panang Curry. You can order through the kiosk or with a worker. The restaurant is cozy with indoor seating. ig: cravingswithcaf

The food here was great! I used to work in a Thai restaurant I got the chicken satay and the Penang curry. I was very satisfied with the texture and sauces with the chicken satay and the curry was very creamy and flavorful...could use more spices. Overall everything was great and food came out very fast

Fried spring rolls and Tom Yum soup (16oz)

I like a more traditional, authentic Thai restaurant but this was more of a fast food version of Thai. They didn't have sticky rice, the fried springs rolls seemed to be frozen store bought, and the sweet chili sauce was sub-par. The Tom Yum soup was okay, fresh veggies and the shrimp was good, but was served luke warm. The service was prompt and the staff very polite but unfortunately, this place is not for me.

A brilliant culinary tour of China, from Xi'an to Taiwan!…read more We are driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and browsed Yelp for a place to eat lunch, and found Shake Shake Fresh Noodle, right off Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo. We found parking right away, and got seated immediately by VV, the vivacious owner, in the beautifully decorated, naturally lit restaurant with both indoor and outdoor garden seating. VV was extremely helpful, offering to take our order directly or show us how to order through the online QR code menu. We're technologically savvy seniors, and had no difficulty ordering online, but appreciated the offer of help. Our orders arrived very quickly, beautifully presented on coordinated metal bowls, plates, and platters. While chopsticks were available at the table, we were also provided with silverware. We got to talking about the origins of the dishes we ordered - hand-made noodle chicken with potatoes and the beef roll, and expressed our appreciation for the craft of hand-making noodles. My wife and I are enthusiastic amateur cooks, and we noted that the spices, produce, and meats were very nice indeed. VV stopped by our table, and described the origins of the dishes: one dish was from Xi'an, and the other was from Taiwan. She then brought three more small samples for us to try, pickled cucumber and daikon salad (my wife's favorite), a shredded potato and carrot salad, and some deep-fried sesame balls. We drive through San Luis Obispo frequently. This has just topped the list of restaurants to visit again.

PARKING TIP: There's public parking kitty-corner, across the street. Very short walk. You don't have to hunt in The Creamery's parking lot or on the street for parking. REVIEW: We're locals and we were pretty scarred from the experiences we had when Shake Shake was Bamboo Bamboo, so it took us until tonight to try it and oh my goodness!! We've seriously been missing out!! I got the House Special Beef Rib with round noodles (I requested spicy, but it's not a spicy dish unless you ask) and it was off the hook!!! (They'll offer to cut the beef upon delivery.) The beef was sooo tender and the broth, amazing!! And the noodles?? Shut. Right. Up!! My husband had the minced pork with flat noodles and he ate the whole thing (that rarely happens). The wontons were delicious, also, and the service was so great! Super clean (although I didn't use the restroom, so I cannot review that). We're definitely adding this place to our go-to list and we'll eventually try everything on the menu. CONCLUSION: This place is a must!! Two enthusiastic thumbs up! Fine holiday fun!!

This was my first time trying this place. I've eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants across the…read morecountry, and my overall impression was that this felt more like a fast-casual or fast-food Vietnamese restaurant than a traditional sit-down experience. You order at the counter and are given a number. Since they weren't very busy, they brought the food to my table, which I appreciated. The prices were on the high side, though fairly typical for many Vietnamese restaurants in California. I ordered the pork platter with rice and fried egg rolls. The portion size was about right. The rice was fine--nothing particularly memorable. The pork was a generous serving and had visible grill marks, but it didn't seem freshly grilled. It appeared to have been grilled previously and then reheated. It was served hot, but the texture and presentation were not what I would expect from freshly grilled meat. Fresh off the grill would have made a noticeable difference. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside, but the filling was dry and fairly unremarkable. They weren't bad, but they weren't a standout item either. The plate also came with iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber, and pickled carrot and radish. The cucumber was fine, while the pickled vegetables were a bit more sour than I prefer. The biggest surprise was the dipping sauce for the egg rolls. Instead of the typical Vietnamese dipping sauce, which is usually one of my favorite parts of the meal, this version had quite a bit of chili added and was much spicier than expected. Some people may enjoy that, but it wasn't what I was anticipating. Overall, the meal was good, but not memorable enough to justify going out of my way for it. The prices felt a little high given the fast-food atmosphere. If I happened to be in the area again, I might stop in and give it another try, but I wouldn't make a special trip to return.

But the point is that she wasn't even nice about it and said OK fine I'll give you a menu.
