Serve what you want but the expanded menu creates more chaos in the kitchen, and so when you want to order something like banh xeo they tell you it's going to take a long time. My sister, friends, and I ate at this restaurant for the first time during the Veteran's Day weekend. The pho here was great. Huge portions, great flavor, and lots of beef. The prices here are very fair and college friendly. The spring/summer rolls here are small but very good. The price for the rolls is a bit of on the high side considering the size of each roll. I also ordered the combination bahn mi and I was a bit disappointed. The baguette was nice and soft but the contents were too mild in flavor. I'm not sure it had any liver paste like a traditional bahn mi would have. My sister and I enjoyed our pho while our friends enjoyed their dishes as well. The service here isn't amazing but it wasn't the worst. Our food took a while to get to us and our bahn mi was forgotten at first (and brought out 10 minutes later than our main dishes). I've been coming here for over a decade. I can't believe I haven't left a review yet. In my American, white girl opinion, is some of the best pho in Orlando. I always get the spring rolls, #21, and taro milk tea with boba. (Make sure you ask for the herbs and fish sauce for your pho! They'll bring it on the side.) Whenever I'm sick, this is what I get! Nothing i didn't love about this place! The service was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and we were instantly in love. We had the vegetable pho and spring rolls. Both were super delicious, with a great depth of flavor in the broth and great variety of veggies in the pho! Spring rolls were light and crispy without the usual greasy feel. I love Pho and usually end up trying a local shop every city I visit. I have now been to Pho 88 Noodle two times in the last two years. Their pho is consistently good, the ingredient quality is high, plus their broth is rich and well-spiced. I can be a little complicated, as I don't eat many or any noodles, and I always ask for the beef combo plus steamed veggies. This can sometimes be difficult to communicate depending on the location, but both times I visited Pho 88 they were able to easily accommodate my request. It's great when you can make minor modifications to get exactly what you want. They also have a large variety of non-Pho dishes and while I have not tried any, the tables around me looked like they were enjoying their various non-Pho items. read more

I. Love. This. Place. It's been a tradition to visit on rainy days. So any afternoon shower is still an excuse to go! This food is so cozy and with many options. Their menu style is represented in numbers so no mix up, or struggle to pronounce the Vietnamese names for chicken or vegetables. For years I've gotten the beef round steak pho which is thinly sliced beef in beef broth with rice noodles. Which is so yummy!!! You have the option of egg, rice, and clear noodles it's really nice to have range. I have since become plant based. Today I had the tofu and vegetable pho with vegetable broth and I was ecstatic to see the variety of vegetables and little mushrooms . I felt they did a really good job of serving a large portion of veggies too. The broth was so yummy and I enjoyed mixing chili paste and hoisin in too! One thing I did was ask for a little dish to make my own sauce which I marinated the tofu in. Pro tip: add a little broth to the sauce! The staff is friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The egg rolls are hand rolled , crunchy, and delicious. I've also tried a fried rice dish and it was great too. This is a spot I always bring visitors too. Great meal, sweet staff, and Good prices. Disclaimer: I am from out of town so this review does not compare the taste and environment of this place with other local pho places. Environment: The inside was very clean and well kept. I liked the bright lighting and the mirrors made it look more spacious. Service: Average for Pho places which means get your order taken and then get left alone except for occasional water refills. Food: Ice Coffee: I was very disappointed. The cup was very small and I felt like I was paying for a cup of ice rather than coffee. The coffee, water, condensed milk ratio was also very off even if you don't count the ice problem. I thought it was a fluke at first but my friend had the same problem of overpacked ice with her coffee order and another ordered a completely different drink also with the same problem. Bun Bo Hue-I was surprised at how clear the broth was in comparison to places I've been to in California, Virginia, and New York. I could still taste the flavor and I wouldn't call it bland but in comparison to other places the soup was not as rich or deep. But they did put the perfect amount of spice in the dish in terms of how hot they made it. Other places put either too much or too little for me. While the dish was not packed full of flavor it had a more refreshing taste to it. I feel that part of the reason was also due to the hot weather so a clearer broth suited the situation at least in my case. I did not feel that the dish was watered down because there is still a good amount of flavor but it could be better. Chicken Pho-My friend tried this dish and really seemed to enjoy it. I got to taste some of it. Against the broth was more clear and the taste less rich and deep than I am use to but still a decent amount of flavor. The broth isn't cloudy at all which makes me wonder if they strained the soup or if it's just watered down. Final Thoughts: I've only been here once but it looks like their customer base is pretty mixed so it could account for their more subtle flavoring. In addition I did enjoy both the Bun Bo Hue and the Chicken Pho even though I wasn't use to it. It was different but it wasn't as if it was bland, too watery, or tasteless. It had decent flavoring so I like it enough for the average 3 star rating even if the ice coffee disappointed me. read more

We found Pho 88 as one of the best rated Vietnamese places on Yelp. From the photos and reviews here I immediately suspected that this is more of a place with Americanized food but I gave it the benefits of doubt anyway. We came here around 11on a Saturday morning and the place is already half filled, it is spacious and has its own parking lot. We ordered Bun Bo Hue (Hue beef vermicelli soup) and Pho Ap Chao (pan fried pho with seafood). This is my first time having Pho Ap Chao after many years in the US. And I was disappointed. It was not bad, it was just a bit oily and completely different from what it should be. I guess you have to go to Vietnam to find out how the authentic Pho Ap Chao should be. Hands down the best Vietnamese place in town. And this is coming from a girl who grew up as a pseudo stepkid in my best friend's Vietnamese household. Up front the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the wonderfully helpful and friendly staff sometimes doesn't understand well enough to special order your food. A VERY minor thing though. Really it's a 4.9 star place for me. I've eaten here countless times and I'm never disappointed. Apps- DO NOT pass up the salt and pepper calamari. Delicious, plentiful, crispy and expertly seasoned. The potstickers are also amazing- we got shrimp on our servers recommendation once and haven't tried any of the others because they're so good. The pho is understandably delish. The broth is super flavorful, the noodles plentiful and well cooked, and the eye round perfectly rare. The congee is fantastic, ALMOST as good as my mother's. Creamy and packed with tender chunks of meat, it's the perfect foil to flu season or a rainy morning. Mi huan thahn. Delicious broth packed with egg noodles, the most succulent wontons, shrimp and roast pork. Get it get it get it. Accompanying plates of bean sprouts, Thai basil, limes and jalapenos are overflowing to help you customize your bowl. I ordered takeout: shrimp/krab pho, shrimp/pork summer rolls, and a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. It was about $18 pre-tip. (Always remember to tip on takeout orders!!!) I've ordered takeout at other Vietnamese restaurants in the area and the price is comparable. The service was fast and not unfriendly, but not friendly either, if that makes sense. Now for the food: I received a 12oz coffee that was about 2/3 full of ice and very little condensed milk. I do believe that their coffee is served in a larger cup dining in. I drank some while I waited and asked them to top it off before I left--they said no, but did add some condensed milk for me as it was very dark. My pho came with a 24oz container of broth and a takeout container holding my noodles, sprouts, shrimp, krab, lettuce, cilantro, basil, jalapeño, and lime. There were THREE shrimp and four small pieces of krab. The container was mostly lettuce and bean sprouts with 1 lime quarter and three pieces of jalapeño. Lots of basil and a couple sprigs of cilantro. I hope that I wouldn't receive such a skimpy portion of meat if I were dining in. Seriously, three shrimps??! The pho is nothing special and the summer rolls are bland with an unpleasant peanut sauce. Compared to most peanut sauce I've had it was very heavy. I feel extremely ripped off with what I received and wouldn't have ordered takeout had I known it were so little compared to what I'd expect dining in. I haven't sat down and eaten at Pho88 in years, so I can only assume that their dine in portions are better, but overall I'm unimpressed. Other pho restaurants on Mills50 offer much better carry out experiences. I do understand that pho is best eaten dining in, so I didn't expect the same experience I would've had doing so, but it was very disappointing. Next time I'm in the area I will choose one of the many other Vietnamese restaurants with better food and service. read more

Me and my boyfriend share an extra large order of the #29, which is a clear soup with egg noodles, wontons, pork and shrimp, and it's plenty of food for an unbeatable price. I seriously eat here every couple of weeks. The appetizers are delicious, Ban Mi sandwiches are yummy, lunch specials are a great deal and the Phô is just amazing. Their broth just makes me feel like I'm eating something my grandma made for me when I was a child. Granted, I'm not Vietnamese, but what I mean is it just gives me the feels. (Like the food flashback the food critic had in Disney's Ratatouille). Anyways, the food is good and makes you feel good, the service is quick, the servers are friendly and get to know you after a while, and the place is clean and tidy. I've been coming here for years but had really bad experiences with service the last two times and as such will have to find alternative means to satisfy my pho craving. The first time our waiter never returned to check on us, refill waters, or even give us the check. After waiting awhile I went to the register to check myself out. The second time I came in with my girlfriend and was seated, waited about 10 minutes without a server coming by, and then saw another couple come in and immediately receive service. SO MY CAR GOT TOWED. I parked there because my friends and Iwere planning to eat there. But had to swing by another place real quick and was gone for about 15-20 minutes at the most to say hi to friends at a nearby store.
