We came here for lunch on a Thursday and it was reasonably busy. Parking was definitely a struggle. The restaurant has done a great job of socially distancing all the tables so they're 6 feet apart minimum. Our server was quick and brought the food out at a timely manner. We ordered the pork and shrimp spring rolls as an appetizer. Not bad, although lacking in pork. The soybean milk is cold and refreshing, and the sam bo luong is herbal and sweet. I ordered the com dac biet, which is the rice platter that comes with grilled pork, grilled shrimp, grilled beef, egg meatloaf, pork skin, a fried egg, pickled vegetables, and nuoc mam cham. The pork was flavorful and the shrimp was well-cooked. I thought they would come out on the bone but they come out already sliced. The beef was served in tiny strips but they were tender. I tried my boyfriend's pho and the broth was pretty good. It was a pretty big bowl too as he struggled to finish it. Good, authentic Vietnamese food. I love supporting local businesses! read more

I have been going to Pho 88 for years and last night was just awful. All of their sauces, garlic chili sauce and siracha were heavily watered down. It literally came out like soup. I asked the server why the sauces lacked consistency and he said they had to make it in house because they ran out?! That is a bunch of bs. I have been going here for years and purchase the same sauces at the asian market across the street. They are obviously trying to cut costs, which is very sad considering their prices have went up significantly. Man, it was AMAZING, before I was getting the traditional beef broth, but this time I tried their chicken broth (Pho Ga) and it was killer. Hands down the best bowl of pho I have ever had. My favorite thing about this place is its location. You can get your bowl of pho and then walk to ROYALTEA for a delicious post-meal drink (recommend a cheese foam topped one) or King Bao to grab some steamed buns for a little something to munch on later. As the name implies, they are known for their pho and they do a good job. The prices are decent have other things outside of just pho too. The service can be a little bit stalled and delayed at moments so you may have to get their attention, but once you do it's fine. I'll definitely come back and when I do I'll try to get something other than pho to see how it compares. All in all, it's a staple place on Colonial Drive and will probably be here for a good while. read more

Holy... this place is not shy about feeding you meat... Overall this doesn't taste bad. Thick broth, flavored just right (not too sweet or salty), average noodles, very fresh meat, also crispy bean sprouts. All of these are elements of good pho. But holy Jesus, this place give you SO much meat. I swear half of this bowl is filled by meat. I have to admit, this was super satisfying, for probably first half of the bowl. But then it got a bit overwhelming. Also, it might be because of lunch time and they got too busy, the noodles were cooked a little too long, so they lost the chewiness. We ordered : pho with all meats including meatballs I believe number 22 : super delicious and hearty meal. The meat was okay but the broth and noodle were amazing. Pho with brisket number 19 : this was my favorite as it had the most flavorful meat and broth. I devoured it and highly recommend. Also portions are HUGE family style for all of these is very doable Rice porridge with meat HIGHLIGHT OF OUR MEAL!! The porridge was the best with a thick hearty broth and some type of meat that seemed minced. The rice was perfectly cooked and our whole table agreed this was the standout. So I came here for the first time, And I was standing at the door for about a minute or so before we ended up walking to a table. Because I was so engaged in conversation I didn't even know if we were actually directed to a table or if my partner just decided to choose a table. So anyway we went over there and we were greeted very nicely and then we went through the menu. We both ordered what we wanted and the meal came out in no more than 5-7 minutes. It was a great meal filled with noodles, meals and bean sprouts that I added to the soup. I couldn't finish it all because I ate before but loved it so much that I look it home and finished it up. Pho 88 Noodle must've been open for a long time now. It would be 31 years old if it was actually established in 88. But honestly, I think that number had nothing to do with age lol. Anyways, this was my first time back in 5-6 years. From what I remembered, I didn't remember it being that spacious. I mean it probably was I just didn't recall. The place looks like it never renovated at any point but it was still presentable. If you get lucky enough, you might get a window seat and get the view of traffic ohhhh yeah! When came time to order I ordered the combination pho which only comes in one size. It was good but it tasted like the broth was from overnight (I mean we did come in when they opened) and the meat was super big and hard to chew. The veggies looked fresh except they didn't have culantro... that ain't cu man. Service like any pho restaurant was not attentive so no points off. Came in about 50 minutes before closing with a group of 12. We felt bad but they got us all fed and out the door by closing. Their pho broth are pretty good and great portion. Their fresh lemonade is really refreshing but even after asking for light ice, still got lots of ice. They also don't give out free refills on soda, only knew that when I got the check. This place doesn't disappoint. Great option for warm food on a rainy night. It's not a flashy restaurant but it has amazing service and great food. I felt they took great care to clean everything with great care, especially given the covid situation. I had their stir fried tofu and vegetables. I love their assortment of vegetables, it had much greater variety than other restaurants provide. Their tofu had a nice cooked texture, a slight crisp around the edges that really made it enjoyable. Solid broth. It was savory and hearty! My only complaint was that the broth wasn't piping hot. Portion was ample and plenty of meat. Veggies was fresh. I hate when pho places give wilted or dying veggies so this was a huge plus and shows they care about what they serve their customers. I also ordered the vietnamese coffee. It wasn't served the traditional way but it was still delicious and strong. My boyfriend got the same bowl of pho with a side of quail eggs. He likes his rare beef on the side so he can cook it himself. He had the same complaint that three broth wasn't as hot as he would like it. Place was pretty big and clean. It didn't smell. Bathroom was also clean. We were there when they first opened since we were headed to see my niece in Tampa. We would definitely go back. Depending if you're picky about your pho. Opinion will definitely vary here especially for any native Vietnamese who will think it's just okay overall. The menu itself is what you would expect of for a pho restaurant. You can choose from pho and rice dishes, a long with bubble tea or iced coffee. Interior isn't much to brag about but most people don't go to pho restaurants for the interior design. The service is good, not too invasive like most pho places, they only check on you maybe twice at most but that's not too bad in my opinion. Just average overall. My family and I always stop here if we're in Orlando! We typically get pho, bun bo hue, and a grilled pork chop / broken rice dish. The soup is pretty good for both noodle dishes and the portions are a great size. What I do appreciate about this pho restaurant is that they don't skimp you out on the meat like some other restaurants do. They give you a good amount of meat with the pho for a reasonable price.
