This is my go to place for pho in Fresno. I have been here sober and hungover since my beginning years of college. The pho never disappoints. It is always hot and fresh and quick to the table. There are all the usually condiments though you have to ask for peanuts. Out of the different pho's that I have tried the rare steak is the one I ordered the most. Though on those hungover days I do get the chicken (it is more light on the stomach). I never really order anything else at this resturant, but then again it is a pho joint, so why would you? It was my first time here and ,it will be my last. The lady with the short hair is rude as f$#@k! First she rushes you to place your order and she yells me to go sit down. I went outside and came back and asked if I could get pork instead of beef in my sandwich she said no it's to late they made it already. So as i stood by the counter she yelled at me like I was one of her kids to go sit down, I told her I didn't want to sit down. Lol. 4th of July - sounds like a good reason for a bowl of Pho. Having nearly exhausted my noodle options in this region of Fresno, I realized that I hadn't hit Pho 90 yet. I had been here before and I just remember the pho always being just mediocre. But I'll get to that soon enough. As it was breakfast time, I had an iced coffee and Goi Cuon (spring rolls) to begin with, the coffee, always good and always refreshing. I love fresh spring rolls and I ordered to stave off my hunger because I was meeting a friend. There was a good balance of noodles to greens to meat. However, my complaints were that the pork was fatty - that always grosses me out and the roll itself was very loosely rolled. By my last bite it was falling apart. The sauce that it came with first off pretty. There were bits of orange pickled carrots, roasted peanuts and red chili sauce piled on top of a brown sauce. I'm guessing hoison and maybe ketchup even. Tasty stuff. Ok. On to the Pho. I ordered the #1 - The Pho Dac Biet. I'll just say it now: it was mediocre at best, but it did get the job done and I was satisfied. The broth tasted mainly of beef. I couldn't really taste the star anise, ginger, or onion. I saw onion, but the broth, although good, just tasted like a normal beef broth. And it was a bit greasy. Here's where it gets better though: once I doctored it with the chilis, lime, and hoison it was smooth sailin fot the rest of the experience. The veggie plate was abundant and fresh. And the ratio of meat to noodles was just right. There were lots of tasty and chewy morsels and the tendon balls were plenty. Still, Pho 90 gets 3 stars. I'm rating them on their Pho and their service. While the Pho came out quick and steamy hot, the service needs to be worked on just a bit. The lady that helped us was more into her show than she was into the customers at the store. It was almost like we were lucky that they were serving us. It was weird. In my opinion, best Pho in Fresno. The owner is extremely kind and welcoming. My wife and I live in Clovis so this place is quite a drive but it's always worth it. If I could change anything it'd be that I sometimes wish they'd stock more bread for sandwiches sometimes but they're still super delicious. Try the XXL 90 bowl! First off, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of this restaurant. Unlike some of the other pho places in Fresno, this restaurant is bright, airy, and sparkling clean. The customer service was very good. It was a stormy day and when we entered, we were greeted by an older gentleman who invited us to have a seat wherever we would like. We sat at a table near the door. He suggested we sit at another table. Sure enough, the door opened and we were immediately cold again,so we moved to another table. A younger man was our waiter and he was very friendly. Both he and the older gentleman checked back on us after we had gotten our food. The food was good, but not great. The broth was a bit greasy, although it tasted quite good. The egg rolls seemed to be a bit overcooked, but tasted fine. The wontons in my niece's pho were mushy and had a strange consistency. The mint, bean sprouts, jalapeños, and lime were all fresh. In conclusion, the service and atmosphere both get five stars and the food gets three stars, with the overall score of four stars. I will return again soon and see if the food is better... I would love to give them five stars. read more

I'll tell you what... this place was one of my favorite food joints to hit up with my family. I would go about twice a week. The Pho is really good, and the fried rice is good too. But the customer service IS FUCKED UP!! They need some serious customer service training. Despite the good food at a good price (banh mi sandwiches, btw), the absolutely terrible, atrocious service definitely outweighed the entire experience. My friends and I arrived at 12:05 and sat at a table at 12:10 intending to eat there; we were not seated, by the way, despite them having 1 empty table despite their busyness. However, we didn't receive our menus or water. By 12:15, we realized that we won't be waited on so we ordered at the counter and decided to take it to go. Per my friend, the waitress was snappy towards her and snatched her money from her hands. While we waited, we noticed customers who were waiting to be seated, empty tables that have not been cleaned, customers who were seated but did not receive their menus or water. My friends and I sat back at our original table but were kicked out of it because they needed that empty table to seat more customers. There were literally 2 waitresses for a busy rush hour with about 20 tables. They were literally doing whatever task that popped up in front of them, whether it be ringing up the customer, cleaning the tables, busing out the food, even making the drinks and the sandwiches. The atmosphere was cacophonic pandemonium with the stench of stressed workers and unhappy, impatient customers. We each received our food in 10 minute increments, at 12:30, 12:40, and 12:50, so we couldn't all leave at the same time. I literally saw a customer who confronted the waitress then stormed off because he sat at the table for 15 minutes but no one attended to him. Then he saw another customer sitting right next to him with water and a menu. I don't blame him. Another thing that irked me was the fact that I specifically ordered a Viet coffee. When they didn't give me one, I asked for it again, and they eventually gave it to me. However, they showed me the order form, showing that Viet coffee was not on it. They insisted that I pay for it, even pursuing me as I was about to leave the restaurant. Why should I pay for something that you specifically forgot to write on the order form and forgot to make even despite me specifically verbalizing that order? It's not MY fault you forgot. It's not MY fault you rang me up wrong. Honestly, given this experience, this restaurant DESERVES to go out of business. There are much better Vietnamese restaurants with more delicious food and higher quality service in Fresno; there's literally one across the street with similar items but much better service. I'm Vietnamese and I was ashamed to have to tell my friends (who are not) that not all Vietnamese restaurants are like this. I've worked in a restaurant before and realize this is what happens when the owner is being cheap and purposely understaffs a shift. However, why would you do that at a busy lunch hour when there are many sit-down, call-in, and to-go orders? No matter the quality of the food, the stress, frustration, and time crunch that both the restaurant workers and customers (who are mostly employees on their lunch break) undergo all reflects into a putrid, despicable, deplorable experience. read more

Not much to say about this place. So far I've only tried Number 6 which is the Tai, Nam, Gan. I loved the portion size, it is a really good sized container for your money, but the broth wasn't the best. It was just lacking something. Also their bean sprouts were not very good which was disappointing because I love bean spouts. Maybe I will come here again some other time to try to see if it is different but the pho was disspointing. I did try their eggrolls though and they were pretty good, if I were to come back here I'd make sure to definitely order them, they had rice noodle and reminded me of homemade ones I've had before. First time trying pho, though I've had other noodle-based soups (such as ramen). Came here based on recommendations for lunch, and it was fairly busy. Cash only, but there's an ATM at the bakery in the same shopping center. I asked the man who seated us what a pho novice should try, and he asked if I wanted chicken, seafood, or beef. I told him I was in the mood for beef, so he directed me to the rare beef bowl. My friend ordered the chicken with egg noodles, and an order of egg rolls. The food was delivered quickly, along with a dish heaped with bean sprouts and what I assume was Thai basil. I doctored the broth a little with some Sriracha, the basil, some sprouts, and a few pepper slices. There were a decent amount of thin rare beef slices on top, with the noodles at the bottom. They had congealed somewhat and it was difficult to pull them apart with chopsticks, though it got a little easier as they cooked in the broth. I thought the broth was a little disappointing - no strong beef flavor, and light on the seasoning. I ate the beef and the noodles, and left the remainder of the broth, because I didn't think it tasted that great on its own. I tasted my friend's chicken pho and thought that it was much better - broth was flavorful, and the noodles were good. I would definitely return for the chicken pho, but probably not for the beef. The egg rolls were nothing out of the ordinary, but they were tasty. The place was pretty clean. Overall, I'm giving three stars because the beef pho was alright, the chicken was very good, and the egg rolls were pretty good. I'd go back again to try some different things. read more

This is the worst pho place in Fresno. I am Vietnamese and I know my pho. The pho broth tastes like water!!! The basil leaves came out wilted and rotting. I asked the waiter for more but he grumpily complained... Service is terrible. Food is the worst... I would rather go to May's Cafe across the street. They taste better and offer more for the price. I eat here every couple of weeks and usually get the same thing-#50. Rolled up and grilled beef with something crunchy inside, spicy sauce served over rice with a side bowl of pho broth. Perfect meal. If I ever even have a sniffle-that's where I go for chicken (noodle) pho. And the spring rolls are good-but really excellent because of their dipping sauce. The owners are very sweet, work all day, every day and there's always a steady flow of customers both for takeout and eat in. The menu is extensive. My husband went here tonight to buy me pho since I am sick. He drove across town, per my request, because this place has the best Pho. Problem is he got ripped off and that seriously angers me. He walked inside and placed his order with the owner. The owner talked my husband into ordering the XX-large, which is $3-$4 more then the regular size. My husband agreed and the order was placed. Then a second guy came up to my husband and told him they only offer one size in to go orders. My husband told him that the owner said that he would need the larger size. Then the second guy told him that he probably needed a second container of broth for another $3. Seriously? So he walked out of the place paying almost $15 for a freaking small amount of pho.
