YUM! I haven't had pho in ages and I'm so sad I didn't check Pho 95 off my Yelp bookmarks sooner. This is supposedly the same place as the one on Federal, which is awesome because it's much more conveniently located for me! We came on a Monday night and discovered that they have $1 7oz. pours of Coors Light and Blue Moon as the Monday night drink special. Seriously? Score. After being able to get a table right away, a server appeared almost instantly with menus and water. Since it had been forever since my last pho outing, I definitely took more time than usual to peruse the menu, but we finally both settled on a beef pho (#21 and #22 specials) with some potstickers and spicy edamame. I should have known better than to order the edamame AND potstickers, but they were oh so good even if we were oh so full by the time we finished dinner. I actually polished off more of my pho than hubby, but we both had to take about half of our mediums home. Yay for yummy lunch leftovers! I think we were in and out in an hour tops, which was long for that place. Most everyone seemed to come and go within 30 minutes, so if you arrive and can't find a table right away - I encourage you to stick it out. I can't imagine someone would ever wait more than 5 minutes to get a table here. They're just crazy fast and I already can't wait to come back or get take out! PS, I didn't mention it - but the pho is outstanding. The broth was great and the beef was oh so tender! read more

About half-way to the new Pho 95 my wife asked me, "Where are we?" You see, the new Pho 95 isn't located within my normal sphere of consumption. It's out in this remote village named Centennial, tucked behind a Best Buy, Macy's, and a Hollywood Theatres uber-mega-plex. Everything about this space screams, "you are not on Federal Blvd anymore!" Walking inside, you are greeted with modern décor and a peaceful atmosphere that contrasts with the energy and bustle of the Federal location. No, the place isn't dead. In fact, the restaurant is quite alive with diners popping in and out. It is just far more spacious and far more relaxed. I really enjoyed the peaceful and serene ambience the new location offers. The clientele is a little new to this pho business, judging by the array of confused and timid looks and the demands for forks. The service here is still experiencing hiccups. A few staff members transferred from Federal and know what they are doing. The new staff members seem completely lost. Hopefully that will improve with time. The menu is virtually the same, except they now offer pan-fried noodles and more varieties of boba. But Pho 95's raison d'etre is clearly the pho, which was out of this world. The broth was a perfectly balanced ballet of salty, sweet and sour. I usually don't add anything to my pho broth, but today I tossed in a dash of their chili oil - not to be confused with chili paste - which was great. The oil clings to the noodles, which adds a wonderful dimension to the soup. Overall, the pho was fantastic, with perfectly cooked noodles, a fresh and fragrant plate of veggies, and a full arsenal of condiments at the table. If it wasn't such a long drive (by my standards), I would take up residency here. read more

I tried something new today, and at the suggestion of one of my dining companions, Heidi, I kept it simple (it's not what you think). After vigorously quaffing a watermelon boba, and getting a cold headache - you know what I mean - I slowed down and enjoyed the rest of the syrupy sweet goodness. Drinking a boba is an interesting experience. After each sip you get to chew on a tapioca pearl or two. I am definitely hooked. A contingency of Yelpers swooped down on this establishment today - adding to the mass of people that were waiting to get in and enjoy. I would say this was a successful Grand Opening. This new version of Pho 95 lived up to it's older sister. The food was good as ever and I finally got to meet the infamous Aaron. And as I left with my boba Aaron said good bye and even remembered my name - this is one of the reasons that Pho 95 is a success. read more

I went Pho 95 with two friends this morning for the their two-day Grand Opening. At 10:30, they already had a good number of people. By the time we left, the place was packed with about 20 people waiting for a table. This place fits well with the restaurants around South Glenn. The décor has that simple, but chique Asian feel. I would come back for a romantic night out or to get a bite before a movie. Heck, this place is close enough to my work that I would come during lunch. Now the food... it was everything I expected from the fame of the Federal location (Pho 95 #1). The best thing about their pho is the complex broth, with that perfect taste. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The passion fruit boba was perfect. It is a smoothie with a strong fruit taste, plus the tapioca pearls. Finally, a good place for boba in Centennial! All in all, Pho 95 did an outstanding job for their first day open. read more

Really, Denver Area? Your highest rated Vietnamese restaurant is THIS place? I hope to God I am wrong on this, but it tastes like you use chicken broth for both pho bo (beef) and pho ga (chicken)!! If this is true, then it's pure and utter blasphemy. If I'm wrong, someone please punch me in the face for falsely accusing. Everyone who knows pho knows that the broth is EVERYTHING. Pho 95's broth just doesn't cut it. It doesn't taste right. I don't want to taste chicken in my pho bo. Such a disappointment... Goi cuon was a little on the soft and chewy side. Permissable. The dipping sauce was seriously made out of peanut butter. Not permissable! It tasted like I was dipping my food in a jar of Jiffy. Yuck! Here's something that Pho 95 did do right: lots and lots of fresh garnishes for my pho. But sorry, dude. A buttload of fresh mint leaves and bean sprouts is not gonna make me change my mind about your broth. read more

Though yesterday was crazy for those wanting to celebrate Pho 95's grand opening and even crazier for the staff actually trying to work there the food is great as always. Those who live in the burbs are lucky to have their very own Pho 95. I'm going to stick to Federal from now on. Pho 95 is my new favorite pho restaurant. The service is great. The food is awesome. Specifically, we get the Vietnamese egg rolls rock. They do NOT skimp on the pho. A small is filling. Food is consistently good, staff and owner are friendly and attentive, prices are very reasonable. I like to get the Cha Gio Rau Song (egg rolls) and eat them as an entree. They come with most the stuff you get in a noodle bowl, plus lettuce to roll it all up in. read more

I loved Pho 95!!!!!! Even though it's out of the way, and a little bit pricier than pho in Aurora, it is SO worth it :) Their eggrolls, spring rolls, Pho Chao (veggie +tofu in veggie broth), and the combination pho my mommy got = all delicious. After a good food but indifferent service experience at the Federal location, it took me a while to finally decide to try this place again. A couple of months ago, I did and regretted not having done it sooner. The food and service were both amazing. Today, however, the person who rang me up for my take-out order shoved my order at me, threw the receipt on the counter, slammed the pen down, and walked away. I usually tip for take-out orders, but I wrote a big, fat zero in there today and won't be back. It's a shame because the food is quite good. read more

This is my second favorite pho place. I've tried both this place and the one on federal. I really enjoy their broth recipe and they are doing something right with their chicken. Hands down the best Pho I have had in the Denver area. They also have excellent noodle bowls, and Boba drinks (Mango = yummy!). Great place to meet a friend, or take a date, and yet somehow even kid friendly. I've brought all three kiddos and have had a drama free yummy meal. They have kid meals but are flexible (one of mine loves seafood but it wasn't on the menu, but they made him a seafood pho bowl). They have a fish tank to entertain kids, and lollipops at the counter. Wait service is a group effort, but there is always somewhere there when you need them. I stopped by the new Pho 95 last week to check it out. I hadn't been in the area of the new location but finally found a good reason to stop in. It was awesome! The new location is super nice, and cozy. I felt like I was at home! The pho was just as good as the other location, and the fact that this location serves wine and beer made my day. I'll be coming back for sure to get my pho fix, I just need to find a reason to go down there more! read more

I'm a huge fan of their Federal Blvd restaurant, so decided to visit their new location today for a late lunch. The food was fabulous, as expected (I had the tofu pho with vegetable broth since I'm a vegan). Never a complaint there. But the service was ridiculously slow. The waiters were too busy playing with their cell phones while I was waiting to pay and have my leftovers put in a box. And I had to ASK for a water refill after waiting for 10 minutes with an empty glass. I wasn't crazy about the atmosphere either. It looked like a cookie cutter restaurant and could have just as easily been Appleby's or Chili's. I much prefer the Federal location and that's where I'll go for pho. And never to their Southglenn location. read more

As my profile header mentions (pho pho pho!!) you'll see that I love pho...and I love it here at PHO95. Not only is this my favorite PHO restaurant in any city or any state, but it beats my 2nd favorite by at least a mile. Hands down the best pho joint. The flavors here, whether you get a soup, or a rice or noodle dish are absolutely incredible. The owner Aaron is also very welcoming and will always greet you with a smile. Upgrading to five stars and updating after a month because: --the pho is consistently delicious. --the BBQ pork banh mi is huge, great (husband says it's almost as good as Pacific Ocean Market) and a steal at $3.95. --summer rolls with grilled shrimp and avocado are awesome. --surprisingly good bar: they have a good beer selection, the bar itself is nice, and they made my husband a very good gin and tonic for under $5. --takeout orders for sandwiches work out great. I was "pho naive" before I first stepped into Pho 95, and had no idea what I was missing. The food is consistently fresh and delicious and certainly more healthy than many other alternatives. The staff is always friendly and eager to please. I usually get the beef spring rolls with the Grilled Chicken Bowl or Combination Bowl, and it never fails to hit the spot. I need to be more adventurous and try some of the many other selections. Also, if you like sports, the new bar area with the 3 large HDTV's kicks ass. Say hello to the owner, Aaron, when you're in. Got pho and banh mi for takeout. Epic proportions. When I picked it up I thought they had accidentally given us extra orders. Amazing quality of meat and soup. Banh mi was huge and delicious. The lavender boba smoothie was also super decadent. We ate too fast to take a pic. Will most definitely be back. Love it. read more

I could definitely live without this place. Pho broth was bland and overly salted. Rare and flank steak tasted the same: chewy and flavorless. Even my cousin pointed out that the smell wasn't the best and that the broth was too clear. Overall, not good pho! My cousins however did have the seafood pho ap chao (sauteed pho) and the ribs rice plate. Both of them noted that they really liked the food, although the ribs was on the sweet side. So if you're already here, I'd try ordering something else besides their namesake! read more

For those looking for great Vietnamese in the south suburbs of Denver, look no further! Pho 95 may just have the best pho I've ever had. I ordered the pho with beef brisket, pretty much the standard for an American pho/Vietnamese restaurant, and I was really, really impressed with how it turned out. Not only was the plate of accoutrements piled high with sprouts, basil, cilantro, limes and jalapenos, the soup itself was positively loaded with beef and noodles. There was none of this all broth funny business, the medium-sized bowl felt like it had as much ingredients as you'd expect from the large. And oh my was it tasty. The broth itself was perfection: it was rich without being cloying and it had such a light oiliness to it that brought out the flavor you expect without it feeling like greasy spoon pho. The noodles were pleasantly firm but not hard and the beef was quite tasty and not gristly in the least. The accoutrements were all obviously fresh and the taste followed the appearance. Overall each component combined to form an incredibly delicious dish that I will definitely return for. Oh yeah, and don't forget the quick, polite service, clean space, and pleasantly subdued décor. Pho 95 is a gem hidden in the heart of a megamall, a bright jewel amidst gravelly franchise debris. That soup is worth every penny, and it doesn't even cost all that many pennies to begin with, so get going already! read more

Even though there isn't a ton of veg stuff (there is a decent amount though) I gotta give this place 5 stars. First off the staff is ON TOP OF IT. Super fast service and everyone is friendly and really high energy. They are a team that works well together for sure. The interior of this restaurant is really nice, the location is great (but parking can be a bit tough), the food is excellent, the portions big, and the prices low. Everything is rockin here!! Reeeealllly tasty banh mi tofu sandwich (get it without mayo if you're vegan) and the veggie pho. I will definitely be back my next visit to this area. read more

The staff is pretty nice And the menu is huge. Like super huge. It was good to see a good mix of things on the menu. It was pretty good food too. Seated fast was nice even though they were packed to the gills. I got a noodle bowl with a little egg roll. The meat was good the noodles were plentiful. The sauce it came with was perfect for the dish and it was a very good egg roll given how not too good I find them normally. The only thing that killed it was that we order some drinks and by the time we were done there were still not drinks. Right before saying something/ paying they came out. I guess a sweet treat before a movie isn't too bad of a thing but having them with dinner would have been best. The super tight seating at a busy time was kind of odd. Don't get me wrong I like people. But I don't like them touching me while I eat. But over all given the area of town it's a good little spot. read more

Make no mistake - Pho 95 is as good as it gets! I've tried both of this name in Denver, the one here at Southglenn, and the other up on Federal. There is no comparison. Pho 95 (Southglenn) has a great, clean, tasteful atmosphere (they just expanded). The broth is FABULOUS, not to mention the plethora of fresh herbs/jalapenos/sprouts and sauces available to you to doctor up your bowl as you please. I have never left here less than immensely satisfied. Holy big, yummy, steaming bowl of Pho!!! I have been looking for an awesome Pho place for years since I left Boston and I have finally found it 15 minutes from hy house and also office. PUMPED! I love the menu and all the choices of types of Pho available. And the medium or mid size bowl is quite large. Thinking the next time I go back I'll grab an app and a small bowl. But I love the plate piled with fresh basil, sprouts and lime as well as the big bottle of Siracha. The Pho with chicken paired with a thai iced tea set me up nicely for the afternoon. A taste of South Federal with the convenience of SouthGlenn--who could ask for more? Pho 95 has quickly become our go-to Vietnamese spot in South Denver. They have great appetizers. Of course, the shrimp and pork eggrolls are good. The Vietnamese eggrolls with veggies and noodles are better, and are a bigger portion. And if you're really hungry, or just want to only eat appetizers, you have to give the Do noung cuon banh trang a try. You can find that as #12A on the menu. It's basically a little bit of everything (including softshell crab) in do-it-yourself rice paper wraps. Really good. For mains, I am partial to vermicelli bowls, and the grilled pork with eggroll bowl is my favorite. Pho is really good too, of course. We especially like the rare steak (tai) pho. By the way, portions here are pretty large, so even if you come hungry, you'll still probably end up with leftovers! read more

I am so happy that this restaurant is now in south Denver. I used to go to the one on Federal all the time and now I get the same quality food, the large servings and ambiance that the Federal has. Two years since my last review and this place is as good, if not better! They have expanded the restaurant so there's no more long wait. The staff is friendly and provide great service. Always clean and the owner is always there to personally greet you like an old friend. The pho here is absolutely top notch! The broth is flavorful and not too salty, the rare steak is the best quality of any pho place in South Denver. The rare steak is always tender, never fatty. I love that their menu explains a lot about pho, making this a great place to take first timers (which I have done!). Their spring rolls are fresh and the peanut dipping sauce thick so it sticks to the roll. They also have a kids menu, which for our 6-year old works out well because he eats too much to share with us anymore and then it's priced better than a small bowl. And tons of boba smoothie drink choices! By far my favorite pho place, especially because some of the other South Denver "competitors" can't beat the service and atmosphere. We really enjoyed our pho here. Lots of times, the option for vegetarians are very bland, and they usually just use plain vegetable broth. The broth here was flavorful enough that I double checked to make sure it really was vegetarian. The response I got included a joke about the flavor coming from the beef under the noodles. That joke earned them points, in my book, LOL. The food arrived fast and was hot. The veggies provided for the soup had obviously been washed, which made me feel good since I got sick at another pho place recently and I think the fresh veggies were the culprits. We ordered small #4s, which are vegetarian with pho and veggies, and served spicy. We also ordered some spicy edamame, which had a sesame/ginger/spicy taste to them. I'm no expert on Vietnamese, but I know what I like. And I like other pho restaurants better. I tried the marinated steak pho, expecting robust flavor. Instead, the bright, meaty and slightly sweet broth that I was expecting did not materialize. The flavor just wasn't as good as my favorite pho place in Aurora. And I quite missed having cilantro to throw into the broth. On the other hand, my husband's pork noodle bowl had great barbecued pork. I really liked the smoky flavor. He, on the other hand, was not impressed. And for some reason, he was disappointed with the noodles. They were more along the egg-noodle variety instead of the flat, vermicelli-style that he likes in his pork bowls. I thought that this might have been a bit picky, but he sniffed, "I'm Chinese. I have a right to be particular about my noodles." Fair 'nuff. Guess we'll stick with our Aurora pho restaurants. Addendum: there are some neat pictures in the back of the restaurant that highlight the "Pho King" challenge. If you can eat a ginormous bowl of pho, you get your name and picture up on the wall (and a snazzy T-shirt to boot). Fail the challenge, and you get a pink T-shirt with "I'm a Pho King loser" on it. So I am a bad bad panda. We cheated and went to a pho place on the North side. It was M.E.H. The next day we made up for it and drove almost a hour from our house to the new Pho 95. Aaron has created the best pho and now he is sharing it all with the South side burberites. They are learning all about pho with the new nifty menus that do a great job explaining the history and what all the ingredients are with pictures....sweet. After our first few sips we both sighed of sigh of relief and delight. We will never ever stray. This location has the same great service, the best pho, and fancier digs! I'm back to having my Pho fix again, I haven't been back to Federal in a while and was missing my noodles. We were in the neighborhood, famished, and decided to try this location. The ambiance of this venue was very nice, the food was fabulous with the same hot beefy goodness that turned me into a Pho junkie many years ago. If I lived closer than Longmont I'd be a regular, and with their expanded menu I don't think I'd ever get tired of it. It was very cool seeing Aaron again, he is such a nice guy, & gets much kudos for this top notch restaurant!! read more
