I was lucky to have had this restaurant in Aiea for a number of years. They had closed last year and recently opened in Kapolei. Of course I enjoy dining with them as their Pho is consistently good. I usually get the combination Pho or Bun and spring rolls. Their veges are always fresh!! It's brand new in Kapolei now and the place is nice and clean. Service is as it was before... always good!! Worst customer service. Placed a phone order, but when we called they didn't answer with "hi pho 97" or some type of greeting. They just go "hello?" Like I had to make sure we called the right place. While placing the order, seemed like a rush and they just hung up the phone when we weren't even done ordering. Food taste wasn't the best. I really like the bun bo hue and pho from Pho 97. We've had take out a few times during the pandemic and it was great each time. They separate out the broth from the noodles. For the rare beef pho, they also separate the beef slices and wrap it in foil so the blood doesn't leak all over. I feel their beef portion is also pretty generous compared to some other places that I've been. Pho 97 also sells sides of broth if you're a broth lover like me. I believe it's about $3-$4 for a container of extra broth. They are located in the Waimalu shopping center near City Mill and the shopping center has tons of free parking. For take out, it's easiest to call in your order then drive over to pick it up. read more

First time trying this place. The lady who answered the phone was quite nice so 3 stars for being patient and answering Q's. When I picked up the take-out order, I noticed she wasn't wearing a face-mask. She was also the only one working and answering the phone. I didn't say anything although I was wearing a face-mask. The Basa fish was pretty good. Lemongrass chicken was just ok. Chicken Pho was not ok. Chicken didn't seem fresh so I trashed it. The green onions weren't fresh either. My friend ordered the Pho with Beef balls and I got the pho with rare steak and flank. We also got the summer rolls. Service was quick and we got our food right away. This spot may be my new favorite place to get pho! There are so many things I love about this place. First, the parking! It's located in Waimalu Plaza Shopping Center, so there's an abundance of parking stalls right in front. Our waiter was friendly and quick. We walked in and right away was welcomed and shown to a table. He was patient as we decided on what to order. He also made sure to fill our waters. We both ordered pho and it came out very quickly. I find the portion size to be very generous. They give a lot of noodles and meat, especially compared to other pho restaurants I've tried. The bean sprouts and basil were very fresh. I'm a sauce girly so I love to load my pho with all the sauces they provide including the chili oil, sriracha, and hoisin. YUM, so delicious! Another touch I like is that they have a bunch of chopsticks, spoons, and napkins on the table. It's great that you don't have to ask the waiter for those. Not too much to say about this place. It's exactly what you ask for, the menu is straighforward, and it was a quick pickup. We just called in our order of Vegetable Pho (with beef broth. You can opt for vegetable broth but it automatically comes with beef) and the brisket pho. At first I thought I got the wrong order because the bag was huge! And very heavy. But it was our broths, noodles that were packed seperately, and our toppings all packed seperately. There was also a huge bag of thai basil, bean sprouts, lemon wedges, and jalapenos. Everything was super consistent with what everyone else was posting to Yelp. Our pho looked just like the pictures online. I was very pleased. Reasonably priced and way too big of a portion for me, but I'm not complaining. Next time I'm probably going to share pho with my other half and get spring rolls to share. Hands down my favorite pho on the island. This has been a staple through out the pandemic in our household. Prices, portions, yes even meat portions, and of course flavor has sold us from the beginning. We never tried their hot pot however they've expanded their restaurant and menu. Their menu consists of your usual dishes just like any pho restaurants like pho, bahn mi, vermicelli noodle dishes, and more. When you order their noodle soups, I appreciate the bountiful amount of veggies you can add in your soup. Their broth is always on point and never a disappointment. The restaurant is clean and customer service is great. The staff are attentive regarding dine in. Take out is always easy and never have to wait too long. Very close to Pearl Harbor right across the street from Safeway. We needed to go grocery shopping so this was just perfect. With all this rain Pho sounded nice ! Delicious veggie spring rolls. They are really quick with service -- upon calling in your order and picking it up, they're really fast which is great. The usual order of combo pho, spring rolls, and bbq pork w/ cold vermicelli is always good. They pack it really well too. Excellent. Seen this place for many years and never stopped by. Finally decided to give it a try. Summer rolls dont have much ingredients in it but theey do make it with fresh ingredients and you can really taste it. The peanut sauce is more fluid and on the mild side but it compliments the summer rolls well Combination pho: their broth is great and didnt need alot of sauces to give it flavor. Got take out - and normally most places skimp ob the meat and give u more noodles. They dont skimp at all. Had 2 meatballs, 4 pieces of brisket, lots of tendon and 9 pieces of rare steak! Pho 97 is one of my fav spots for Vietnamese food in Aiea. They have a variety of dishes but my go to here is the spring roll and grilled pork vermicelli. This place is very unassuming its been in the Waimalu shopping center for years but there is nothing that distinglishes it or make it stand out (a few doors down from paesanos) but appearances aside its their food that packs this place. Alot of people getting takeout and constant people coming in. We got here around 12:45 pm and was seated right away (restaurant 1/4 full) service was pretty quick (staff was pleasant and dilligent). Not more than 10 min and we all had our food (party of 4) I went with # 23 (Large pho with rare steak around $14) portions wasnt overly big or small but average. I noticed their soup had really good flavor and their steak was all lean and tasty and the noodles was ok. I am not one to put those weeds (basil beansprouts etc) in my soup but they gave us generous amounts of it. The insides has ac and your basic wooden generic table and chairs and it seemed clean... I have no idea where the bathroom was but I think it was through a side door that lead to the side of the building (guessing). Despite this being one of our favorite places to order delivery from, we decided to eat at the restaurant for a change. Located in Waimalu Plaza, there is plenty of available parking in the shared parking lot adjacent. We all ordered large pho with varying meat toppings. The portion size was good, the vegetables that accompanied the pho came in generous servings, and there was plenty of meat in the pho. Pho 97 One does a great job with their takeout/delivery, and there was little more to make dining in a better experience than dining out. The one thing I do really like is the selection of pepper sauces-- takeout orders arrive with some duck sauce and sriracha, while the other pepper sauces available in the restaurant elevate their pho even more. The interior is pretty generic: if you've been in just about any other pho place then you'll find it familiar. The staff was friendly and service was very fast. While their broth is not quite as good as some other places, Pho 97 One is excellent overall and will remain a regular in our dining rotation. read more

The food was excellent but the customer service was horrible. Both servers were being rude. I asked for a sprite she bought me a coke and when I told her that I wanted a sprite and not a coke she shrugged me off ,water cups wasn't offered to be refilled then was told that I needed to pay for the refill . When asked for take out containers she then went on tell me to ask someone else then started removing items from my table that I was going to take home . She then sticks out her hand after paying my bill asking for a tip . Just overall horrible service but due to this me and family will not be returning. read more

We love the customer service here! We never been to this place when they were in Waimalu but I'm so happy they moved to Kapolei Commons! Such a convenient area to be since they're close to my favorite stores. My toddler boys love their bbq chicken - it's the only restaurant that they both can finish the entire dish. They normally get my order wrong (gives me a medium when I ordered a large) but it's easily looked over for us because the amazing customer service makes up for it. I normally don't do take out pho as I like to enjoy it at the restaurant, but this was pretty good for takeout. I got spring rolls which I was surprised because for most places they only give 4 pieces but this place gave 6 pieces for about the same price from other places. Their spring rolls were tasty and not soggy for take out (I live about 10 mins away) I also got their rare steak and beef balls pho. Most places put their rare steak in the broth which eventually cooks it but this place didn't and I was so surprised. The food tasted good in general they didn't give me takeout sriracha but that's okay. It was my fault for not asking. Not sure when I'll be back for pho since it's a one time craving for me but I'll definitely go back here read more

We find ourselves hitting this spot more and more ever since we've had the cooler weather hit on this side of the island! Our favorites are the Wonton soup, pho, spring rolls, and the beef stew. Although there is an option for hot pot, we've actually never seen anyone have it during our visit nor see it on the menu. Maybe it's a different one if you are interested?! We came here for dinner last night. My daughter wanted pho. She's a noodle girl lol! It was close to the Safeway here. We had just got done shopping and we were hungry so we came here. We entered and sat at the corner table with three chairs. We were served iced waters. I couldn't decide so I got the chicken and eggplant dish and it came with rice. It was pretty tasty and flavorful. I only ate a little as I was still full from earlier. I ended up taking my leftovers home. My daughter got the meat ball pho and ate it as is with no additional toppings they give you. She doesn't like bean sprouts or anything in it. A thumbs up from my daughter. Pho is that go to meal and pho 97 is that place. The price is comparable to other places but there is always room. They expanded about 3 years ago to add hot pot and take the overflow for pho eaters so there is ample enough room. The service is alright. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The waiters though have a hard time understanding your order and it takes the owner to verify and make sure we get what we ordered. The pho base is very tasty and not watered down. The portions are fair for the price. I never leave still hungry. With ample amount of parking, pho 97 is a go to place. read more

The food is here is pretty good. The portions are huge, we ordered medium Pho and it was more than filling. They gave us so much veggies to go with the pho. The atmosphere was calm and casual. There were lots of bigger parties and it was nice to see everyone getting to enjoy being being family/friends. A great place to go with a big group, plenty of space for parties to sit as well as between tables. The way food comes out, allows you to truly enjoy everyone's company and not feel rushed to eat and leave, which has been hard in this covid environment. Definitely appreciate that. The spoons/chopsticks were left in bulk on each table and personally, it doesn't bother me that much but I have a handful friends who would be upset about it. I know it definitely makes it easier for me because I often drop my chop sticks but I understand, especially now, that this is something that may make people uncomfortable. all in all, this place is definitely worth trying. read more
