This is the first time I have eaten Vietnamese Pho so I don't have any other experience to compare it to but this Pho was spectacular in my opinion! I love Pho 99! I work right down the street from here and I get the #8 seafood Phó and the spring rolls with prawns and pork all the time for lunch. Some of the best seafood Phó I've ever had! Very fast and friendly service. Everything always tastes fresh. Can't say enough good things! read more

The pho here has always been on point. The eggrolls are good too. I've always ate here even though the lack of water refills and service. The pho is good! Really good pho and spring rolls! They even have bubble tea!! The broth was very rich and delicious. Packed full of flavor. The meat that was scattered through was tender, and flavorful. I couldn't eat it all. The serving was HUGE! I will never eat here because they refused a clearly identified service dog that was behaving perfectly. Why on earth was this an issue?

The food was good, until I saw somebody vape in the restaurant. It was a customer, but no workers said anything. I have nothing against smoking of course, but in a restaurant? Recently moved here from Seattle, where we had a pho diner practically on every block. I was really concerned that in the South I might be losing a lot of my favorite foods. Hubs brought home pho from here today, and I was pleasantly surprised. Their broth is really good, but the brisket is a little fatty. Sadly they only have one size of noodle bowl, which to us is comparable to a small/medium, so we will definitely order extra noodles next time (I like leftovers). I've edited my reviews and ratings to be more consistent. Best in Greenville. Mostly all Vietnamese patrons -- that's a major indicator! Yes, better than the higher rated Vietnamese restaurants full of non-Vietnamese customers who make faces when they see tripe and tendon in their bowl. Try the spicy noodle soup. Excellent. Even contains blood cakes. The dry, no broth, noodle with grilled pork and prawns is good also. Been going regularly, but for some reason food tastes far better in the weekends than on weekdays. Probably the owner chef works on weekends and someone else on weekdays. Big Vietnamese after-Mass crowd on Sundays. Service is not good. I'm a regular and still don't get decent service. But then again, that's how it was when I was travelling across SE Asia. They bring you yummy food, you eat and leave. So I don't really care -- adds to the authenticity. read more

Food is absolutely delicious!! Every sauce you could need for pho is available and tender meat! Only thing that sucks is that there is only one waiter serving tons of tables so it takes a little longer than usual. First time trying Pho 99. After looking over the menu, I realized how unfamiliar I really was with Vietnamese cuisine. But the young man and woman at the front helped me out and pointed me to the number 12. Beef tenderloin and beef brisket Pho. I ordered it togo in order to go home and pick through and inspect. When I got to the house and began observing, It was impressive. They had the soup separate from the fresh meat and vegetables with a side of hot sauce and limes. I'm surprised that this place is one of the lower-rated Vietnamese places in Greenville, because I probably had my best bowl of pho in Greenville here. The decor is cleaner and more stylish than most Vietnamese holes-in-the-wall, and the staff is younger and more friendly. We got the 99 special, which has every kind of beef topping - brisket, tenderloin, tendon, and meatball - and all of them were good. I used to love Pho 99. I have eaten there when I lived in Austin, TX and in Broomfield, CO. Today, my son and I went to eat with my son's service dog in this Greenville location. The dog was in full uniform and clearly marked as a service dog. ID badges and all. The manager said no pets. I clarified that he was a service dog. The manager said he knows and understands the law, but refused us access and service. I asked him to reconsider. He said no and we had to leave. Our exchange was cordial, but his decision is in violation of ADA laws. I called the Greenville Police who dispatched 3 units to take my statement, educate the manager and record the incident. Before I left the parking lot, a family that was in the restaurant flagged me down to let us know they told the owner that they were never coming back because of the way they refused to serve us. That family restored my faith in the good people Greenville. I'll never go back to Pho 99. If you are considering eating here, please consider what happened in your decision. I'm torn about this review. Good food, TERRIBLE SERVICE! Ask for two glasses of water, they bring one. Order an appetizer, it comes 10 minutes after the main course. Ordered lemonade for the kid and they brought a limeade drink and then charged 3 bucks for it. I spilled a hot cup of tea on the table (and myself) no one was paying enough attention to even offer a cleanup so I cleaned it all with napkins. The topper was, they have new prices but bring you a menu with old rates that you order from. You find out about the price changes when you get your check. And not the cleanest place.
