Ambiance is great but that's about it. The traditional pho tastes like the broth wasn't fresh or cleaned. The house pho Tasted like bad water. The wings were Gamy and tasted like they had been fried and than double fried and fried again. 77 dollars for 2 pho 2 drinks and 2 mediocre apps. Sorry cannot say yes to this place. This place is so tasty. I'm not entirely sure when Pho & Bar opened, but I was initially confused by its location. I had been to the restaurant before but I'm glad this is here now! There's no doubt that the northern end of downtown needed a good pho place and this place has it. It's kind of small so has a great, intimate feel to it. The food is delicious - got crab cheese wontons, spicy edamame, the VFC wings, and rare beef pho. My friend got the vegetarian pho and honestly that was just perfect. My friends and I loved the cocktails. We had the lychee mule, strawberry mojito and some sake. The bartender, I believe his name was Ryan, was so nice and made sure we all were enjoying his creations. I'll definitely be back! read more

Pho Roll - A fun take on pho! The fish sauce was spicy and delicious. The rice wrap, veggie and lemongrass beef was a dream combination. As usual, when I order delivery, I am so hungry by the time it arrives I completely disregard picture taking and immediately start devouring, lol. There is nothing better than pho when you aren't feeling well. We ordered the crab and cream cheese wontons to start which were of course delicious and both had the house pho with chicken. Everything arrived hot and filled with flavor. My partner and I were both sick and the pho immediately made us feel better. The portions are perfect so we each had leftovers to enjoy the next day. Great spot in City Park West! Cocktails and food were both great. Between two people we shared edamame, a noodle bowl, and banh mi sandwich. Some of the things were really spicey so beware and maybe ask for sauce on the side if you're a whimp like me. We decided to check out Pho & Bar for a date night. The inside of the restaurant isn't huge, so it's not ideal for large groups (especially in the winter without the outdoor patio seating option). I'm hesitant to place a poor review because I find it mean - but damn I really did not enjoy my dining experience. Anyway, my intention is to be constructive: 1. My fries were cold. 2. The lemongrass steak bahn mi a complete disaster - over cooked (practically jerky) and also slathered in way way too much sauce - (making it dry, too salty, and too sweet). Could not finish it. 3. To your credit the pho broth was yummy, but arrived to my table lukewarm and with the brisket rubbery and overcooked. 4. Yep. Best Pho in Denver. Get the black garlic oil. Possibly the best $1 I have ever spent. Umami in a bowl and not too garlicky. Love the Vietnamese take on classic cocktails. Bummer ... I wanted to like this place more but I was pretty disappointed. I've been a huge pho lover since I moved to CO 5 years ago and have had to find a new local pho spot every time I relocate so I was hoping that this would be the spot (like this places sister restaurant had been last time I moved). I was hyped for this place because they have the same owner as Pho Haus, which became a personal favorite. The restaurant inside is fairly small and they took over a prior spot which has a cap hill feel with bricks in the interior and large artwork inside. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food was my biggest downfall here, just wasn't as good as I expected (based on the sister restaurant). 1. Trio Haus Pho (3/5) - 3x types of meat in their non-traditional broth which has added lemongrass. The flavor of the broth was lackluster in comparison to other times. 2. Chicken wings (4/5) - pretty good, Asian style chicken wings and crispy. Nothing super special but good nonetheless. Overall, I hope I just had a bad experience this time around. We found Pho and Bar on tik tok and we went on 10/28. The location is considered mid - downtown denver! The place is small so expect a wait, my group was told it was 30 mins but the 30 mins went by quick! The lady at the front was polite. There is a full bar service inside so be ready to drink! Denver does not have many Pho restaurants they primarily have ramen. This place is great if you're truly in the mood for pho. I always get the house pho with combination meat. It's delicious! I've been so excited to give Pho & Bar a try, but I forced myself to wait for good in-person weather to get the full experience. The wait was more than worthwhile, and I will definitely be back soon, as well as working it into my takeout rotation too! We ordered the Pho Rolls, VFC Wings, and Beef Bahn Mi with Five-Spice Fries. All three items were delicious. The pho roll uses wide rice noodle, and I would characterize it as a flavor and texture explosion. Amazingly delicious. It came cut into 4 pieces for easy sharing. The VFC wings, using fish sauce, were perfectly crisp and we got 6 wings to the order. They mostly sat on a bed of fish sauce, scallions and chilis. (I am a lover of fish sauce, so I wouldn't have mind if they were drenched in it personally). I was surprised my normally meat-averse dining companion wanted to double down on the beef by also getting a beef bahn mi, but after tasting the amazing lemongrass flavors from the beef in the pho roll, I had no regrets about eating more of it. The baguette was classic french style and had a nice airy texture with exterior crunch. The fries were battered, which is not normally my thing, but they managed to maintain exceptional lightness and were perfectly crisp, even as I attempted to slow my consumption of them. The spice blend was the perfect touch, and I dare say they even seem like they could travel quite well. The service was on point too. As others have mentioned the outside is well equipped for Covid dining, but the hip and stylish inside will be great once life returns to normal. This neighborhood has needed something interesting in this venue since I moved here over five years ago, and I couldn't have asked for a better excuse to eat out close to home. Go now! read more

I was excited to try this place! I love pho. It's one of my favorite foods. I always order rare steak. At Pho and Bar I ordered the House pho with rare filet. It came out with the meat mixed in steaming hot broth. It had obviously been in there quite awhile and was well well done. It was tough and not at all what you are hoping for when you order rare filet. Super confused why a pho place would do this. They also did not provide dipping bowls for the meat. The rainy weather in Denver this week has called for pho so I checked out this new-ish pho bar in the neighborhood. The vibe: really nice and quiet quirky place. They have large windows on both sides of their restaurant making it seem really open and lots of natural light, which I enjoyed. The service: decent! They were pretty busy so were a bit slower. Our server was really sweet and checked in on us often. The food: this is where it fell flat to me unfortunately. Since they have the same owner as Pho Haus, I was expecting the food to be on the same level and it wasn't. It was decent pho but lacked a lot of flavor (I also got the vegetable pho but my table all got meat and experienced the same thing). We ordered to go and the quality was pretty subpar. The flavors were great but there were several things missing from our order that we specifically requested and paid for. Rather than try to resolve the issue, the person we spoke to basically said, "we're closing, there's nothing I can do about that."
