If I'm paying $29 for a pickup order and I have to wait a long time because it's a specialty dish, usually ordered on special occasions, I expect to get home and have it be complete. And when I call to let you know of your error don't answer me with "what do you want", what I want is to get the order correctly and some actual customer service. I came out to this place because I was craving pho came to this place & had a good experience with the food but when it came time to paying the bill this woman came up to me & said " the food was no good or what? " I said " yeah it was good" she said " then why didn't you leave a tip if it was good?" I said to her " I'm sorry what, just because I thought the food was good that means I need to tip you?" I felt very uncomfortable. She hovered around my table until I put something down the person I was with was scrambling for some cash so she can get away from us & pulled out whatever cash he had which in all honesty he didn't have to but he felt forced to. All she said was " oh a dollar that's it?" None of her fellow coworkers told her to stop harassing us & hovering our table I just wanted to leave after that. That is no way to treat people & it is very rude to ask for a tip to my knowledge a tip is a curtsey not mandatory. Honestly the owner of this establishment needs to teach that person to never come at customers like that & if you are the owner that's no way to treat customers at all. Tried this place for the first time, had the pho, special fried rice and a vermicelli plate. Also some egg rolls. Overall, pretty good flavor, plenty of rice and noodles in all 3 dishes. I feel like they could do more a better ratio of proteins in all 3. The PHO comes with a massive amount of noodles. For the price, it is actually pretty competitive to other pho places nearby. I was hoping to find a Japanese restaurant and this is a combination with Vietnamese fantastic Attentive, friendly waiters! They have a nice lunch combination special with soup and roll . Caveat: unless you want the sauce on your edamame , let them know because mine came with a spicy sauce which I wasn't feeling. They were great and changed it out Tofu spring rolls / Slightly skinny on the tofu a bit small but fresh ! So I just went yesterday to get some food while on date and it started off pretty good but once I ordered they brought out the wrong food,then they brought out something I didn't order and tried to argue that I did but eventually took it back.After that I was annoyed so I decided to ask for the check and because they argued I didn't want to leave a tip but when the waitress came to get the check she says "no tip" and I said no she then continued to pressure me into leaving a tip so I gave her five dollars so she would leave me alone but even after that she came back to tell me " this is a restaurant you have to leave a tip" she then proceeded to tell me to tip next time.I don' think there will be a next time after this. The pho prices were very good. The service was spot on. There were reviews complaining about the service. Not sure how it was before, but the waiters and bus boys were great. I've heard of this place for years, but I never had a chance to go until now. Upon entering, you'll notice the unique, fun decor. I ended up ordering the Philadelphia roll, which was so good, and the burrito roll. The burrito roll wasn't my thing, so I got some salmon sushi instead---delish! The menu could have more options, as I felt it was very limited. The restrooms were nice as there was a bench inside! The service was fairly good, so I can't complain. Hey! Not sure entirely about all bad reviews, but I can say this. 8 of us went to eat there on Saturday and they were so accommodating to us. They split the check for us, recommended items for the no so sushi peps in our party, kept checking in if we needed anything...then to top it off...we got our bills, added the tip and our server came back and said he had already added our gratuity to our bill...so he was canceling the tips we wrote in. Talk about honest John, I mean he could've easily kept the gratuity and our tips, and walked off. But he really impressed us with that. The food is really good here very fresh and very tasty. In fact I think we ordered a little too much. But we need more restaurants like this guys so let's keep the small business going. read more

Nearest pho place in Uptown. It's decent for pho but not exceptional. It's no Garden Grove/Westminster kind of pho, but we keep coming back anyway. Workers are always nice and attentive. If no parking on the street, there is usually lots of parking in the back area. I don't think the owners are Vietnamese 'cuz their sauces are not legit at all. They don't have sweet fish sauce for the crunchy egg rolls and the peanut sauce for the fresh spring rolls is lacking flavor. My husband prefers this place over Pho Whittier near the Quad. Lunch specials are great 'cuz you get a bowl of soup plus an appetizer. Sushi isn't the best. They don't roll the crunch for the crunch rolls. They are literally just piled up. Kind of messy to eat, but whatever. We are still coming back when the pho craving hits. read more

If you're ever craving for Pho and Sushi, this is the place to go! I ordered through Door Dash and my order was packaged very well! I ordered the large Chicken Pho. At first it didn't look like much, but as I kept eating, it was as if the noodles multiplied! The chicken was a bit dry, but it was still good nonetheless. I also ordered the Baked Salmon Roll and Crawfish roll. I liked that the rolls weren't drenched in mayonnaise, but I thought the Crawfish roll could have used a bit more crawfish. This place is a nice gem in Whittier. I was in the mood for Japanese food and stumbled across this business. I walked in about an hour before closing time. I was right away impressed with their cleanliness and attentive staff. I ordered a seaweed salad, avocado and mango salad, and a jalapeño spicy tuna roll. I liked how rapid the food was placed and delivered to my table. Overall about 4/5. Seaweed salad was good, but a little to watery. I did like the presentation which made it appealing. The mango and avocado salad had a colorful presentation which I loved. The salad has a delicious sweet flavor and was decent. However, the lettuce quality wasn't too impressive. Overall about 4/5 for salad. The jalapeño spicy tuna roll had a nice colorful presentation. It wasn't too spicy as the name makes it sound, and the tuna was fresh and easy to chew. I also really liked the rice being proportional to fish. Some places have so much rice and small amounts of fish, but this roll was proportioned perfectly. 5/5. I've been to this restaurant about a dozen times or more. Never for dinner. Only for lunch because I like the price better. The reason I'm now writing this is because I have just discovered their bomb egg rolls. Did I mention...they have an awesome lunch special? Pho with your choice of meat and then either a sushi cut roll or 2-4 egg rolls. They also bring you a small salad with their homemade ginger dressing before your meal. They should bottle that dressing! I do like their sushi. I've not had a bad roll yet. I've gone in for just sushi when I'm not in the mood for Pho. Again, I give them high praise for the egg rolls. They are so very good! You know how some places use too much cabbage as filler? Pho and Roll's egg rolls are just the right balance! Perfection!! The Pho on the other hand is just ok. The broth lacks taste and seems a bit watered down or diluted. The toppings don't make the soup. It's all about the broth and I believe they could do better on the flavor profile. The restaurant itself is fairly clean, the wait staff is quick and there are enough tables plus the sushi bar. The only thing holding them back in being a highly successful, stand outside and wait kind of restaurant is their main draw. THE PHO!! read more

The soup is much tastier than other local pho restaurants around. Pho was so good we ended up trying sushi rolls as well. I have to tell that pho and sushi matched so well! The pho here is very good. I did get charged $2 extra to add meatballs. Normally you find a combination of tai (steak) with meatballs but they had every combination known to man except the one I normally get. Wait service is a bit slow but you have to account for the fact that the wait staff is very busy as it's a big restaurant. They also have a sign on the door looking to hire additional wait staff. Which means they are actively looking to improve the customer experience. I did order the spring rolls and will pass on them next time. They were a bit to wet and saucy. I also like when my spring roll has a green onion top rolled in it to add addition flavor and there was no green onion top in my spring roll. read more
