Sen Yai is my go to for comforting, warm noodle soups. The soups with the tom yum base are my favorite -- a perfect mix of sour and spicy! Noodles are cooked well, toppings are generous, and the packaging doesn't leak when ordering take out! Can't wait to come back!

I am a pretty diehard Thai food eater and have had a lot of experience visiting Thailand as well. Sen Yai offers a very different and unique Thai experience. Most of these items you probably won't know or have tried before as most are street food items. I had: Khao Na Ped (very good and filling, the duck, rice, sauce and ginger is a winning combo) Thai Dry Noodles (very very good, lots going on and can add as much soup/sauce as you prefer, though I dont drench the noodles much) Giew-Tod (Thai crispy wontons, I think shrimp, but we're easily my favorite thing I had) Overall a great spot, can't wait to try in person and try more from here.

I'm a big fan of the Thai place next door, so when Sen Yai opened, I was intrigued. Their menu mostly consists of noodle dishes, but there's a good selection of appetizers, as well as a few rice dishes. We ordered the Tofu Triangles to share and I got the Bamee Moo Dang noodle soup. The tofu triangles were crisp and came with a yummy sauce, and the noodle soup was perfect for a chilly day. The space isn't super big, but even on a Sunday around lunch time, we waited no more than five minutes. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu!

This place never disappoints. Always delicious, the staff are very nice and attentive. The lang zapp and the Thai style sashimi are my go too! The mango sticky rice is a must get after the meal and the pandan drink. The ambiance is very nice, cozy and chill.

Went there again this week for a Laeng Sab and Nam Tok with wide rice noodles. It was the best Nam Tok I've tried in Massachusetts. Safe to say I will be a regular at this place.

Been wanting to try this place since it opened, but it was a miss for me. Food was mediocre at best, not sure where the hype was as I saw it was packed before. The papaya salad was spicy and I give it 8/10, Pork Soup was a 7/10 and the other dishes were about 5/10.

Really yummy new spot in oak square. Loved the Tom yum and I recommend their Thai iced coffee! I think they could use cooler menu items, and maybe more things considering how thonglor menu is huge and same owners. I'll be back but in the winter because it is hot in there

Very authentic Thai. We love it. My wife is originally from Thailand and she can attest to the authenticity

Not your typical Thai place. We did takeout so can't comment on service, but totally loved their food. Highly recommend.

Back then, they were a normal-style restaurant (similar system to Panda Express). After that first time, I quickly became a repeat customer because of their catfish, pork soup, and the crispy pork. Just those three were sufficient and then several months later, they became a buffet-style restaurant. I was elated. They experimented with other dishes but the crispy pork remained my favorite. No matter what dish they make, all of them were infused with strong flavors and mouth-watering aroma. It is truly a tragedy that this restaurant closed. Service/wait-time/cleanliness (1.5/2): The people here were incredibly courteous and kind whenever they served us. Wait-time can be rather long ever since they converted to a buffet-style but somehow they still manage to keep the restaurant clean and well-kept. Price (1/1): Even back when they were NOT a buffet, their price were very reasonable for the amount of food they give. That positive is multiplied so many times once they transitioned to buffet-style.

You had as appetizers spring rolls, crab Rangoon, 2 different soups and close to a dozen plates.....vegetarian, chicken, beef, tofu. Dinner buffet is a little more but you have 1 more hot item and a couple of deserts (desert isnt included in the lunch buffet) Service is quick in cleaning plates and updating empty buffet items. Ambiance is great. It's a new place so the walls are vibrant and clean. Electrical sockets have usb build in if you need to charge you phone (bring cord)

I ordered the Papaya salad, Chicken satay. Curry Shortribs and Phad See Yue with beef and the mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream. It was very busy but we were able to get a table for two within 5 min. The service was super slow. Took ~20 min for our server to take our order & another 40 min for our food to come. We noticed our server was the only server for all the tables, haha crazy! Here's what we ended up ordering: -roti (w/ potato curry sauce) -chicken wings (w/ spicy garlic sauce) -pad see ew -pla pad kun chai (fried cod fish fillet w/ lemongrass + Chinese celery) -Thai iced tea We tried the chicken wings, the roti, and Thai iced teas at the restaurant & ended up requesting for the rest of our food to go since we were on a time crunch. Thoughts: The pad see ew was delicious! We reheated it later that night & it was flavorful. I would definitely get this again. The chicken wings had good flavor but we found the chicken itself to be very dry inside. Made it difficult to enjoy. I loved the potato curry sauce that came with the roti. Simple but tasty dish. The pla pad kun chai was our least favorite dish we ordered. It didn't taste good at all after reheating. We're curious if we would've enjoyed this more if we ate it at the restaurant when it was fresh? The fish had a very fishy smell & didn't taste like it had been treated with lemon, vinegar, or both. We usually enjoy cod fish & lemongrass but this was a complete miss for us. Lastly, the Thai iced tea was okay. It was a bit too watery for us & we wished it could've been creamier. Overall, I would come back again to give Cha Yen another try. I did like the dishes we tried at the restaurant & perhaps the fish for example would've tasted better if had at the restaurant.

This place just opened up and is such a rare find. I saw it while running one day. At first, I was…read moresurprised that it was a restaurant cuz it looked more like an old, abandoned service station. I'm glad I didn't judge it by it's outwardly appearance because it was actually freaking tasty!!! The inside is ... also interesting looking. The service was fast but lacking enthusiasm and could have been a little more friendly and welcoming. The first time I tried it was in person ... inside the restaurant. I've tried it 2 more times since ... both UberEats. The first time really blew me away!!! I was ready to give this place 5 stars!!! The flavors were so perfect and unique. The downside was that the portions were extremely small ... like so small, especially for the price. However, it was so good that I ordered it via UberEats 2x after. The first time I ordered it via UberEats, it was ok, but the second time, it was just horrible ... like way too greasy with no flavor. Just grease and oil. For this reason, I give the rating I did. I really need to try it again because I have such hope for this place, but dang ... the consistency is just not there. Please work on portion size and consistency!!! I know this place has what it takes to be consistently amazing!!!

Arriving at 6, our party of 4 received seating immediately; the establishment only had a few other tables occupied (they did have a decent number of delivery orders). We ordered everything to share, I sampled the following: - Sai Oua | $10 - Crying Tiger | $16 - Kra-Pow w/ground Pork | $14 - Drunken Noodle w/Beef | $16 The Sai Oua, a Northern Thai style of sausage, had both strong lemongrass and earthy herbal flavors. This proved quite addictive; the plate emptied quickly. The Crying Tiger, a grilled steak, proved equally popular given the savory marinade's interplay with tangy dipping sauces. The Kra-Pow w/ground pork, an orthodox menu item representing ground pork sautéed with chili, garlic, basil leaves with hot basil sauce over rice, met expectations. The Drunken noodle with beef, another orthodox menu item, this time with sautéed flat rice noodles with egg, basil, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, and onions in spicy basil sauce, also tasted decent. Notably, the spicy sauce actually had some heat and didn't just taste like soy sauce. Overall, I enjoyed everything. The starting 2 appetizers stood out compared to the mains mostly because of the novelty. The portion sized did seem a bit small, but given the quality, I can understand the establishment trying to maintain a certain price point.
