My vegan daughter lives in Denton and I'm in Dallas so this is a nice meeting spot. Basically a strip mall restaurant pay at the counter as you leave etc. Very clean with excellent prices and very friendly staff. My daughter is a huge Pho proponent and it passed her test. The Banh Mi sandwich was odd. It was described as an appetizer with french roll stuffed with pork so i was expecting an odd appetizer. It showed up as a full sandwich (which was very skimpy on the meat - hence the crazy cheap price $3). Although on the menu, I'd stay clear of the "chinese" items i.e. orange chicken which was ok but heavy breading and deep fried with sweet sauce. Think this place clearly does vietnamese the best. VERY polite but communication can be a bit of a problem depending who waits on you :) questions and answers are definitely not a possibility so know what your want LOL. read more

This place is awesome. We are stuck on the Pho chicken soup / beef and egg rolls. Their crab Rangoon is also delicious. The sauces for the egg rolls I could eat alone! I love this place! The owner knows my family and is always so sweet. We usually get the shrimp spring rolls as an app, but have gotten the egg rolls as well and they're delicious! We've tried the seafood, shrimp, rare beef, and white meat chicken pho; all of them are amazing! The lemongrass chicken with steamed rice is delicious as well as fragrant. If you're wanting something a little more familiar, the orange chicken and steamed rice is a great choice! read more

The staff here is comprised of some of the most genuinely friendly and polite people I've ever encountered. The quality and flavor of their food is top notch, and is the best pho establishment in Denton/Hickory Creek/Lake Dallas, in my opinion. The food was prepared quickly, but not at the expense of temperature, flavor, or quality; everything was amazing and fresh! The restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming. If any of my friends or family ask me where to get good pho in the area, I will be sure to point them to Pho Asian Star! I can't wait to go back and try some more things on their menu! read more

New to the state, I was worried I wouldn't find delicious Pho. We found this through place through yelp and decided to check it out. Glad we did . The vegetable and tofu pho was delicious . Not to salty and the XL fed 2 people . The fried rice was also delicious . My only suggestion is with the steak abs brisket pho to give a little extra meat . Other than that everything was great . Ordered The Shrimp Pad Thai. Was the worst Pad Thai I have ever had. It was watery and seemed it was made with Pho noodles pulled out of pot and nuked together the other ingredients. Tried to voice my concerns and was ignored. Don't come here! read more

Had to try this little place tonight as it used to be a chinese place months ago. I ordered a few things to sample such as the lemon chicken and the lo-mein(sp?) With egg drop soup. The people were very nice with greets and asking me what it was id like to order. The meal is good as I like the spice with the chicken and the rice is great but kinda heard to mess up rice correct? The noodles taste good but not a fan of the egg drop soup as it tastes kinda oily or not what im used to. Over all I would say id come back as the food filled the belly and loved the taste of the main meals I shared with the girl. read more

This place has gone downhill recently. Come here all the time and this is my last time here. Got the large combo pho like I always do. This time very little beef. Half of a meatball, 2 little strands of beef tripe and little beef brisket. That's it. No rare beef, no well done beef, nothing else. My wife got the beef brisket and there were like 3 or 4 pieces. When I complained, the lady told me to look below the noodles and yes that's where the 3-4 pieces are. If this was a real restaurant, they'd be glad to just offer more beef since we complained. Or fancier restaurants would even comp your dish. Very disappointed at the service. We will take our business elsewhere and go have Pho in Lewisville (Pho One) from now on. More meat, cheaper price and better broth. So long Pho Asian Star. You won't be missed. read more

Every time we come it's clean, quick, and great tasting! I usually order the tofu pho and my partner has had a variety of things. I highly recommend the vegetarian spring rolls. The only thing I wish they did was have vegetarian broth and added avocado to their meat-free pho. read more

Really good pho, fresh and hot always. I usually go with the #21 or #23. Don't forget extra egg rolls. Totally worth the trip to Corinth from Highland Village. Next time I'll be sure to get a Thai ice tea. read more
