I knew it was a good sign when I pulled up and saw how busy it was with lots of Asian families on a Saturday morning. Took my family here based on a tip from a server at another Asian restaurant we went to. This place has some of the best Pho I've had in a long time. You can taste in the broth many different herbal and floral notes. The short rib was fall apart tender and super delicious. We also got the steak and eggs (Bo Ne). This wasn't as good as the pho, but was decent. We usually love getting this at other Vietnamese restaurants if they have it but I think because they use sirloin here we didn't like it as much. Service throughout the meal was great. Our main server actually had to leave right after taking our order due to an emergency and the restaurant picked up the slack with no delay. For drinks I started with a tropical monk which had a strawberry milky flavor and then I transition to the lychee martini which was fantastic. True to its name, you do get a bar-like ambiance when you walk in. The place is kinda dark, but spacious. We ordered pho because this place is known for its house made noodles. The noodles are made fresh daily! The noodles were so soft yet chewy at the same time. It was the perfect texture. The broth was good, but slightly on the sweeter side for me. The meats were just average. One of the meats was really chewy. The portion is small compared to other pho restaurants. The mussels were good and flavorful. There is an extensive menu for drinks. I lived in Orlando for 6 years and spent my fair share of time eating in Viet-town. That's where I really started to try and experiment with Vietnamese food, so looking at the Pho Bar menu, I was excited and couldn't wait to bring my boyfriend here who isn't a huge fan of any type of Asian food. He raved about it! When we arrived, there was a steady crowd but not overly busy. By the time we left, there were only a few seats left at the bar so they're doing good business! Now for the food! We shared the Banh Mi which was delicious. The bread was nice and warm and the filling flavorful with the pickled veggies giving it a nice crunch. We shared one sandwich and saved each of our halves to dip into our pho. We both got the Pho Tai Gau and it was piping hot and everything you want in a bowl of hearty pho. I could've used more noodles in mine, but my boyfriend thought the noodle to soup ratio was perfect. For dessert, we had the Che Sau Rieng which I ate most of and it was yummy and reminiscent of all that I loved in Orlando. We did enjoy our meal with some cocktails, because why not?? I had the Midnight Orchid and he had the Vietnam Mule, both were tasty and we ended the meal with an "Espresso Martini" used with their strong Vietnamese coffee...yum! When I see pho places with websites and well designed menus, I usually get extremely nervous. HOWEVER, pho bar is beautiful inside, AND the food is amazing, AND they have a functioning website, AND their menu is readable. I was told by my Vietnamese friend that this place is great, and she was right! We were seated quickly, and the drinks menu looked actually quite good. I got a mango smoothie which I really enjoyed. The highlight of my meal was seeing Banh xeo on the menu. This is not common, but it is probably one of if not my favorite Vietnamese dish. The grilled squid was awesome, so was the pork bun, and the pho. Everything was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The flavors were legit, and I really loved coming here. Let me say one thing, I love Vietnamese food in any way shape or form. I am a true connoisseur of the cuisine. And all I can say about Pho Bar is that the food is fabulous. I apologize because I was so into the food I didn't take pictures. I decided to try something new tonight. Normally, Shrimp Pho is my favorite. But I tried the Pho Gia Lai which is made with fried pork belly and ground pork. It was delicious. It's not a soup like traditional pho, more of a noodle dish. But they give you a marvelous sauce to pour over the dish and it adds just the right flavor. They also give you a side of pho broth that has eye round and meat that is also delicious. My sister loved the shrimp pho that she got and my friend loved the chicken pho. We started out with the spring rolls whic were also very good. The peanut dipping sauce for the spring rolls was the best I ever tasted. My suggestion to all of you out there is if you like Vietnamese food, don't walk, RUN to this restaurant. My love is starting with a Tropical Monk (Malibu rum, sake, lemon juice, pineapple juice & coconut cream). Absolutely delicious. I'm having a Vietnam Mule (Belvedere Ginger Pear vodka, lime juice, ginger beer & fresh ginger syrup). Phenomenal. Appetizers are: Mama's eggrolls & sticky ribs. Both were absolutely delicious. Entrees are: Vegan pho minus the tofu Pho Gia Lai (fresh pho noodles with fried pork belly, ground pork, steamed bean sprouts, cilantro, fried shallots & a black bean sauce served with a side of pho broth with meatballs & eye round). Stopped in on a Saturday morning a little close to noon so expected them to be pretty busy and they definitely were as another very large party came in right around our group of 9 did. Ambiance is clean and cute decor inside. Pretty decent bar which I did not expect to see in a pho spot. Servers were all so nice and attentive, checking in on us while running multiple tables among other tasks. They order using a handheld device. By the time the order was placed, our appetizers and rest of the order started flowing out fairly quickly. Food was all good - we really enjoyed the appetizers - particularly the fish sauce chicken wings, they were fried with a light batter and perfect tasting sauce (not too sweet, not too salty). For entrees we ordered a few different dishes and had a fair amount of leftovers. Those who ordered the pho and BBH liked it. We ordered a com tam platter but it was served with regular rice instead of broken rice - still tasty nonetheless. All in all - would definitely come back. Absolutely THE BEST MUSSELS I have ever had. The lemongrass, lime, and coconut flavors danced together so beautifully. And the short rib pho was phenomenal!!! Side note: I subbed the meatballs with eye round because I don't like the texture of the meatballs.) All of the meat was so succulent!!!! The broth was just perfect! I usually like to add a little fish sauce for salt, but I felt I would ruin this pho if I added fish sauce or anything other than lime. The house noodles were nice as well! Slightly different texture than other noodles I've had, but nice once I adjusted to it. The only thing I slightly dislike is 18% gratuity is added onto all checks. My server, Damien, was wonderful!!! But, in the event I had a bad experience with my server I prefer to have the option to tip what I want or not at all opposed to being forced to tip the auto 18%. Thankfully Damien was an absolute delight! Oh and I had a lychee martini and lychee mojito. Both fab!!!! Martini if you want stronger and mojito if you want sweeter. 2 drink, an appetizer, and pho totaled about $85 after tip. Could definitely spend less, but I wanted to sample a bit of a few things. ORDER - Vietnamese Iced Coffee - Grilled Satay Squid (Muc Nuong Sa Te) - Rice Flour Crepe (Banh Xeo) - House Special Pho (Pho Dac Biet) - Pork Chop and Rice Plate (Com Suon Dac Biet) I was blown out of the water. Coming in, I didn't have too high hopes for this restaurant since a lot of the staff was not Vietnamese but do not judge a book by its cover as they say. This restaurant provides quality Vietnamese food that is representative of traditional dishes. This is hands down probably the best Vietnamese pho that I've eaten outside of my home (and I'm from Texas!). Again, the food is so representative of the home dishes I have eaten so I really liked being able to eat Vietnamese food away from home! First, the Vietnamese Ice Coffee was decent. It was a little on the sweeter side but still very strong. I'm not personally a fan of sweets so I added some water to dilute it down which made it perfect! Second, the grilled satay squid was great! It has the same essence as dried squid which means it was actual squid. It was served with green chili sauce and chili lime fish sauce. The fish sauce was really well-flavored. Next, the rice flour crepes were very crunchy. Very generous with the amount of filling (meat, shrimp, bean sprouts, and onions). Let me also take a moment to say how fresh and big the leafy vegetables were. My parents were so shocked by the size of the leaves (I mean Florida vs Texas am I right?). Very fresh vegetables enhanced the dish. The House Special pho was also, again, probably one of the better if not the best place I've had pho outside of the home. They use fresh pho noodles compared to other restaurants which are so delicious. The broth was also very sweet. Again, the vegetables were fresh and great additions to the dish! Very satisfied and happy! Lastly, the Pork Chop and Rice Plate dish was great! A big portion of meat and fresh lettuce! I will say that the only thing was that the meatloaf was a little bit on the salty side but still pretty decent. The nuoc cham sauce on the side also was so tasty! Another great dish! Overall, this was a great place for authentic Vietnamese food! Again, very representative of home-cooked Vietnamese food, with decent portion sizes, and great quality ingredients and vegetables! Would highly recommend it to anyone in the area! VIBES Vibes are modern and tropical. I really liked all the plants around the outside and on the interior. There are plant walls and cute neon lights that really bring a nice, trendy feel to the restaurant. There is plenty of seating inside and outside! It does smell a little funky but trust the process! The wings are crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside, the fish sauce is unlike any fish sauce I've tasted! Honestly would of ordered more for my dinner but was craving some good ol pho. With the pho you have the option to have their house made noodles or regular noodles. The house made noodles are a little thinker than the average pho noodle but the noodles were a bit tough to work with. They were stuck together and having to pull it apart to eat made it a really difficult experience , when trying to separate the noodles broth spilled out of the bowl a little too much just for a bite. I like going to a place where I'm in the minority as I feel this gives weight to the authenticity of the cuisine. We had a great lunch here. The place was quite busy. It's located near a couple colleges so there were groups of students and also large families dining there. But the tables moved out fast and the staff was on top of it all -- cleaning tables and resetting. We didn't hardly wait to be seated. We actually were waited on by the manager, Nathaniel (Naht) who was pitching to help out as needed. We started by sharing their spring roll (a non fried summer roll) with shrimp only. Very refreshing; I loved their version of peanut sauce. Then I had their tamarind wings (4) appetizer. These were decent, but I would have liked them crispier and with more tamarind sauce. I brought most home and after they crisped in the oven, they were better. My husband had their pork noodle bowl. The portion was huge. It had a ton of pork in it, mini fried rolls,and all the usual fresh veggies and noodles. It was delicious. He brought half home for dinner that night. For my main meal, I had their "crepe". It was stuffed with pork and shrimp and bean sprouts. It came with mint and lettuce. You're supposed to wrap it and dip it in the sauce, but I prefer to eat the pieces separately. The crepe was thin and light and airy. I'd definitely get this again. It was quite large, especially after the appetizers, so I also took half home for dinner. For dessert, my husband had their passion fruit cheese cake. It is a pretty layered dessert served in a small see through cup. He really liked this.
