Hubbs and I have been coming here for years since before we had baby. We came today with our infant baby and were told to have a seat anywhere so naturally we choose to sit in the very back away from people because we had the baby in the car seat. We get settled just for the same person that told us to "have a seat anywhere" tell us "oh it's Just 3 people? My manager said to move you, this is for party of 5 people or more" It was so annoying and awkward because we literally just scooted over to the next set of tables- but decided to leave instead. If you have an infant you understand the extra work of loading/unloading/getting situated and being brave enough to go to a restaurant is just to face this situation.

We were by Clear Lake Methodist starving and looking for something close. It was less than 10 mins away. Pho Barr is tucked inside a retail shopping strip. I almost want to say it took over a Filipino restaurant that used to be here. It was awhile back, I've moved so I'm not 100 % sure. When you walk in it's very dark and gloomy with the blinds closed to keep out the heat. I know you can't beat this Texas heat, but I felt it was too dark inside. We ordered 2 wonton soups, shrimp spring rolls, and 2 pork banh mi sandwiches. My husband and I were disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. The banh mis were sloppy and too much butter, the bread completely soggy from it. The grilled pork was too sweet and saucy not what we were used to. It didn't taste like it was authentic charbroiled grilled pork. I didn't taste any lemongrass either. The spring rolls were ok nothing great about them. Lastly, the wonton noodle soup was just ok too. We were hoping it was good since they're opening one close to our office in Deer Park. It's unfortunate because we're always looking for new hot spots by the office. We won't be going back.

We frequently dine here and are always happy with the service and the food. Exciting neon splashed walls with space themes make it fitting for the location. The Only menu item that I don't recommend is the mama's spring rolls. Just meh in what they deliver. Other spring rolls are better

The food was very flavorful and fresh. All the ingredients melded together really well. I also really liked the ambiance inside the restaurant. It felt very hip and vibey because of the neon signs and the dark interior. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The time from when we ordered to when the food was put on our table was also super fast. The beef was a little tougher than expected, but the pork was 10/10. I wish the portions were a tiny bit bigger because of how light everything felt! Would come here again.

My husband and I went for a late lunch to Pho Barr. The waiter was very helpful and polite, the atmosphere is very cool, relaxing music and neon lights. We started with grilled beef spring rolls, this came fast, the flavor of the meat is sweet, fresh lettuce and noodles, good peanut sauce. Then we had the special of the season which is grilled pork chop, white rice, pork skin, and vegetables, came with a nice broth and egg cake which was particularly good. Then we had the beef Pho, flavorful broth, tender meat, great meatballs and fresh herbs. Cool place!

Pho was delicious! Broth was light and flavorful! I've had other phos in the area and they always tend to be on the sweeter side. This wasn't too sweet and I appreciate that. I most definitely will be back! My friend got the Bo luc lac and that was yummy too. We ended our meal with the strawberry milk milkshake and lime frappe. Both were good but lime frappe was so refreshing and totally recommend especially on a hot day! Place was clean and service was great! I really do recommend!

I had been wanting to try this place for year and finally came true! It was a bit hard for me to find since the restaurant sign was small and hard to see. Food was delicious. It was crowded and service could be a little bit slow but still good. I will return if I happen to be Webster

Popped into this small but very artsy cute spot while out near the Johnson Space Center. It was a hot day today for mid April so I wanted sumthin light and not too heavy, and I saw this spot in a strip center near my hotel. I was gonna get a bow of pho, However I saw on of their rice dinners come out, and said I want some of that! Glad I did.. i ordered the beef rice dinner made of strips of grilled ribeye., ( very tender) good flavor, , while my dude got the one with shrimp .. however he said his needed more seasoning of some kind.. thus the 4 stars. Service was good however.

This place has great food. The ambiance is modern and hip. Fast and friendly service. Recommend the pho and the spring rolls. You feel like you're eating healthy even if you eat a lot. Love vietnamese cuisine. Go alone or with the fam and you will enjoy your time there.

Dimly lit, small, bistro-esque spot in a strip mall. The service was basic and efficient - not very friendly though. Bahn mi bread was way too dry - skip this one. Vermicelli bowl with pork was very fresh and pork was wet saucy. Sauce was very sweet. Beef pho was tasty and predictable. Wish they had a spicy option. Honestly, best bite was the peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls. Spicy and deep!

This place was a pleasant surprise. In town briefly for business and thankfully stumbled upon this unassuming gem. This place is no frills, but comfortable... Tastefully dim lighting with some fun space themed neon. The guys working there were polite and gracious. My Phö had delicious broth & my spring rolls (bbq pork) were clearly made to order. Delicious. They serve cold beer and sake too. All in all Pho Barr is legit. You can tell the people working there likely enjoy eating the food they are putting out & you can't ask for much more.

Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

We started with the Pan‑Fried Pork Dumplings, delicious and surprisingly filling. For mains, we ordered the House Special Lo Mein and a Lunch Special that came with egg drop soup, fried rice, Szechuan shredded beef, and an egg roll. The soup was flavorful, thick, and nicely eggy. The fried rice was good, and the beef was tender and savory. The egg roll was also really good. The House Special Lo Mein, though, wasn't our favorite. The texture felt off, and the meat was colder than the noodles, so we couldn't really eat it. For a Chinese restaurant, the House Lo Mein is an important dish to get right. Overall, some hits and some misses.

Of course you do. My family and I used to live just a few hundred yards away in that subdivision. You'd see my number pop up and I know there was a moment of quiet respect in the kitchen. A pause. A nod. "Ah yes... the big order." You knew my name. The delivery drivers knew my dogs. The dogs knew the delivery drivers. There was harmony. I tipped well--especially considering the short drive. I like to think those tips helped cover gas, morale, and maybe a chapter or two of a kid's college textbook. You were part of our routine. Our tradition. Our emotional support takeout. Then... we moved. Far away. Outside the radius. I know. I know. It must've been hard. I assume there was a brief meeting. Maybe a whiteboard. Someone sighed. Dreams were recalculated. But I'm writing today with good news. We're back. Not as close as before--but close enough to smell the General Tso if the wind is right. Unfortunately, we are now approximately six tragic miles outside your official delivery radius. Which brings me to my proposal. Could we add a special rider to our phone orders? Nothing crazy. Just a small, unofficial, mutually beneficial understanding where: We always over-order We always over-tip No one speaks of this again And happiness returns to the universe I'm asking for a friend. The general tsos had big juicy pieces of chicken and the sauce wasn't too spicy (even my 4 year old enjoyed it). The sweet and sour chicken came with sauce on the side so it remained crispy. Usually it's my favorite part of this place but I'm not sure if they changed the recipe? Something tasted off. Our total was $50 and we have tons of food left over. Overall a great place!

We were there well after the 5-7 p.m. typical dinner hours, and our order was quickly taken at the counter and cooked within our view. The Orange Chicken and Firecracker Shrimp were pretty damn good. Fresh and crispy with appealing sauces. The Firecracker sauce is what General Tso's should be -- some sweet and heat. The Orange Chicken sauce, has a little bite, but I could also taste the orange. I get it that some mom & pop restaurants might serve five-star recipes on one night, and single-star recipes the next, because of issues involving product procurement and a lack of consistency when it comes to employee training. While I mostly go with the mom & pop joints, consistency on occasion can be my friend. Bottom line: The food here was good (to-go) on our visit. And almost as good the next day when we warmed everything up in the microwave. Employees here are friendly, and the place was spic and span. I'll be back.
