Great first experience! At first I was concerned the experience would be a disappointment because the name of the restaurant on the building reads Mediterranean Pho Bistro... Then I got really concerned when I saw the interior was under renovation, empty of customers, and had a menu that offered Vietnamese classics as well as items like couscous. Fortunately, the pho put my concerns to bed. The broth was clear, herbaceous, and just the right amount of salty. The server assured me they cook the beef bones overnight to get the rich flavor! I requested flank only, no brisket, and was impressed by the quickness with which I was served. My only regret is there weren't more noodles, but I slurped down every last drop. Pro: clean environment, outdoor seating, delivery app options, big parking lot, Con: price, limited menu items, the sauce for the garden roll was not peanuts sauce, extra cost for meatball. My sister wanted to come here and try out the food since it had decent reviews on yelp. The parking lot is big so no issue with find space. Upon entering we were greeted by the host and seated. The environment is very clean, moderne with some nice light music in the background. For appetizer we order the garden roll and for the entree I had the beef pho & my sister also had the beef pho plus beef meatball which cost extra. The garden roll had a good proportion to it and the taste was good but the fake peanut sauce which was just hoisin sauce mix with chili sauce which was a major disappointment. The entree was very mid tier since the broth was decent but not very authentic Vietnamese flavor one should expect of there Pho. I would highly recommend that if anyone is looking for authentic pho taste to go to Pot O' Pho restaurant which is about 8 minutes away from this location at the ward plaza. I have been there and taste alone would blow this restaurant out of the water. All in all, it was ok experience to try this place once but I don't see myself coming back here in the future. read more

I rate this place a ZERO. It is my second time here and we didn't make it past the seating area. My husband, myself and 3 kids walked in and the young lady at the front asked "can I help you?" And husband replied "yes, may we have a table for 5 please" and she asked us what do we plan to order. (Odd) and so we let her know we'd like to order PHO. She said they are out of PHO. (Odd, right?) my husband asked what else do you have and she paused, pulled a menu out and pointed and said "we only have pork products." (Odd again). My husband and I were taken aback because it was obvious she didn't want to serve us and assumed we wouldn't stay based on only serving pork products. We left but that encounter did not sit well with us. We are in fact from the east and do not eat pork so right off the back we strongly felt she was racial profiling. Here's how I came To this conclusion. I called the restaurant a few minutes after we left to confirm if they truly ran out of PHo and proceeded to place a carry out order of two beef flank PHOs and the man who answered confirmed they have PHO!!! I hung up and called right back and asked to speak with the manager and the man who I spoke with minutes prior said she was busy. I let him know that I had just called and ordered the two phos to go and wanted to cancel the order. I let him know what I had just experienced with the woman at the front and called to see if they in fact had PHo. He confirmed once more that they did have PHo And wasn't clear as to why she said that or treated us that way. He was apologetic. We will NEVER return to this restaurant and hope you don't either. If the owner reads this, I strongly suggest you train your staff with proper manners and etiquettes. I am still shocked at how we were treated. My family is decent, respectful, kind and classy. Please do not give your business to this establishment and go elsewhere. I am still trying to get a hold Of the owner to make a complaint because this was unacceptable and they should be aware of the situation. read more

We had to try this place, a place named PHO BISTRO should carry a certain level of fancy food. I brought the kids with me. We ordered the spring rolls, and I got the Special Pho. The kids got beef pho. Chicken pho was not on the menu. The menu was on the smaller side. They have the other viet classics like Bun, noodle or rice dishes. The food was decent, but did not have the authentic viet feel to it. If you want authentic pho, look elsewhere. The soup was good enough to satisfy a pho craving, veggies/garnishes were fresh. I did expect fish sauce to be served with the spring rolls, they were served with a sweet thai chili eggroll sauce, the kind you get from thai resturants. I was unable to order the garden rolls, as there wasnt an option to swap the shrimp for any other meat. I would consider this a fusion type of restuarant, based on the few things we ordered. The place itself was pretty clean, open and airy. They played some recent and upbeat music, but i asked then to change the music, becuase of the sexual nature and profanity in the songs... my kids were a little shocked.
