It was a cold gloomy day, so why not some pho. Ordered the grilled bbq pork with rice instead of pho, pho real. And boy ol boy, it was good. The meat was tender, had a side cup of nu mac sauce , plenty of veggies (got my veggies for the week). I also got the Tom sum young soup with shrimp, and it was delicious. I feel like a fatty. So glad to have found Pho Boston, as we have not run into it before on our visits to Northampton. Home family cooked food to order. We brought BYOB drinks with us to enjoy with our meal. We ordered pho and green curry with tofu. Good pho, broth was very light, good meat and noodles inside. The green curry was a bit watery and more spicy than I expected and thus the rice came in handy. Tofu yummy. The service was very good as there were only 2 servers. My Boyfriend and I were so excited to hear that a pho place opened very close to us! The restaurant seems to be farely new but poppin' amongst the Florence and surrounding community. The restaurant also gives off a very home-like vibe which is nice. The pho is average but still very good and a necessity for the cold season. Sweet little new Vietnamese spot off the beaten path but so close to town. I ordered take out which is never the best way to order Pho, but the noodles were cooked perfectly and were not mush by the time I got home. I added a little hoisin sauce at home for some sweetness but that's just my preference. The person who greeted me on the phone and checked me out was super friendly and kind. This place will definitely be getting more of my service! Egg rolls were worse than what you'd expect from the freezer at Costco. Told the server they were inedible and she replied "yeah my coworkers say they're pretty bad.." Pho lacked any depth or good flavor and seemed from reconstituted powder. 4 or 5 tiny little pieces of meat in the combo beef bowl. Soggy, overcooked noodles. Either Covid killed this place (as this was my first time eating here) or all these good reviews are from folks who've never had good pho before. Been here several times and I think the food is okay. The pho is inconsistent, sometimes it's really good but most times it tastes lukewarm. The egg rolls are pretty bland. And the imperial rolls (summer rolls) are good except that the sauce is too watery. New and building up a good reputation! First visit was tough, the location is very tight for eat in and the phone rang constantly for take out. The food, however, was excellent! The Pho is top notch. We've had beef and vegetarian. The fresh rolls are yummy, the call them imperial rolls on their menu. --rice paper, thin rice noodles, shrimp etc. make sure you ask for sauces and the hoisin and hot sauce. No frills, simple, fresh, and delicious; Pho Boston pleasantly surprised me with the quality of their ingredients and delicious soups. The location is out of the way, the decor is completely mismatched, and the whole place feels more like a shack then a restaurant; but I don't recommend you go here for the atmosphere, you should go here for the food. It is without a doubt the best place for pho in the area (including Amherst.) The soups came out piping hot, the noodles were cooked perfectly, the beef was flavorful, and both broths were complex without being overpowering. Even the basil and bean sprouts on the side were fresh and delicious. It should also be said that 90% of their menu was $9 and the portions were still generous. Affordable and delicious I don't want to stop praising their food, but it should be said that this is not the place to go expecting great service and a "dining experience," other people ordered after I did and got their food first, the apps and soups all came out at the same time, and the check was put on the table before I was even half done with my food. Go here expecting a delicious street food style meal instead of a cozy sit down restaurant. Such a great new place, everything I've had was delicious. Just make sure to go in when you have some time to sit wait and chat as they get their footing. Having traveled through Vietnam, I certainly appreciate a nice bowl of Pho. Three visits to PB and I've left satisfied each time. Pho Boston's food is extremely delicious and satisfying. Their Pho and their Bun (vermicelli) are both tasty and VERY filling. I deducted one star as the above mentioned dishes were quite light on the fresh herbs (which can be requested), and because both the service and the venue aren't exactly top notch. The waitresses were super friendly and polite, but they could use a bit of polish (i.e., they didn't check up on us frequently; we had to ask for napkins, water refills, etc.) (Side note: keeping fingers crossed that they'll offer Banh Mi soon?) So and me and friend where originally going to go another Pho place but we damn a wrong turn and stopped here. I ordered the beef pho and my friend got chicken. The pho was luke warm , and the noddles where so tough and stiff. They just sat in the soup. The broth tasted like ramen noodle packet. I literally couldn't eat the food is was so bad . I told the lady that we where unhappy and would like to leave . She said " in 20 years she never had a complaint " well first time for everything cause that was disgusting. She got very defensive and argued with me on how she felt bad that i dont like the food after she " put her heart and soul in it" . Making it a pity party. Best pho I've ever had and such a unique location. Prices are so fair and it's always very peaceful to eat here. My boyfriend like do go in cold weather and it's very romantic to us.
