I came here on a Wednesday night for a to-go order. I got the Pho Ga (chicken) and a chicken Banh mi (requested an egg and no pate). I am pretty disappointed. The broth tasted too "medicine" like...I much prefer Than Brothers broth over this. The noodles were sorta thick to me... or had an odd texture. I really couldn't even finish 1/2 of the small order, I lost my appetite. Although, the chicken was good and they packed it to-go perfectly The sandwich was horrible. Dry. Hot dog style bun. Not crispy at all. Barely any veggies or chicken. No mayo or sauce. I would never order a sandwich again from this place. I should of just got Subway honestly. Food was pretty good and priced reasonably well the only reason I would give this 3/5 stars is due to the ambiance of the place. It was more run down on the inside and not very clean. I went with some friends and we shared fresh spring rolls which were amazing, then we each had our own bowl of pho. Pho was pretty good and by the end we were not serviced by the staff and told to pay up front or if they would bring us the bill so we sat talking for a while until we finally went up. We figured someone would come check on us after the food was served or when it looked like we were done to see if we needed a box or the check or more water, but that never happened. I would recommend the fresh spring rolls as an appetizer if you are going there and just to go up and ask the front counter if you need anything throughout your time there. read more

I have been to dozens of pho establishments and Pho Bothell consistently brings savory broth, good customer service, friendly atmosphere and quick service. My family really likes this place. It's OK but not my favorite. I guess I need to make sure I'm being objective. This space was once occupied by my favorite BBQ joint in the area so I do have some residual annoyance when I walk in and remember the good old days when Big Al would great me and hand me the glorious sandwich that was the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Good times. The service here is average for a pho joint. The pho is also average, which is to say I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The banh mi is smaller and more expensive than the places I usually go for that kind of food so I don't really even order it anymore. Hmm, how do you rate 1/2 stars? I would give it 3.5 since I can't really call myself a fan being I rarely make it up here due to the location. In the Bothell/Canyon Park area I think Bamboo House is definitely a better choice. Pho Bothell would be my next option if I feel like driving further. It's somewhat hidden off the highway in a little strip mall. However, it's really decent inside with nice chairs and tables (stone/ceramic top), hard wood floors, spacious and generally more pleasant than the usual little pho joints. Service - average, not bad. Get your seat, water, then comes your food. You probably won't see her come to your table again unless you try hard to flag her down but typical service. All is well since the pho really is pretty good here. I like the broth - not too heavy. Impressed with the garnishments - the basil and bean sprouts are fresh. Looks like they cut off the ends of the sprouts too which is more preferable. Bonus points for giving you more than 1 or 2 slices of jalapeno! I had the traditional 'dac biet' combo of course (w/ meat ball) and it was good. I love the meat balls here! The proportion of meat vs noodles seems to be just right. The down side is the so-called peanut sauce for the spring rolls. It's only that due to the peanut springles on top - not the peanut sauce I would prefer. It's heavier, darker, and too salty (like too much hoisin sauce or fish sauce). But left satisfied with the rolls and yummy pho - so I still love 'em! read more

The best Pho place in all of the King/Snohomish county. The quality is amazing and the taste of the variety of Pho they offer is so good!!! We have been to many in the area and we always come back to this place at least once a week, that thr owners know our-order . All time favorite is their grilled chicken a spring rolls - these are not on the menu however we asked if they were able to make them the first time we visited, and they were gracious to do so, and do that everyone we come in. The atmosphere is awesome, and they constantly have people eating here. Another great thing is that they are a clean restaurant! For me, that is super important and it's clean and so is the restroom, which says a lot about a place. Highly recommend this Pho spot for anyone craving it! Have come here a few times with positive experiences. Food is decent and well priced, one of the few pho spots in the area. However, I came here at 8pm on the nose after looking up on google that they close at 8:30pm. The second I walked in I was refused service unless I was ordering to go. This was in front of 6 other patrons. I immediately I was disgusted that they would refuse service and walked straight out. If you say you close at 8:30 and someone comes in at 8:00 they should be given service. Especially when pho is fast casual and can be consumed quite quickly... Not coming back. Been back a few times since my last review and every thing is pretty much the same. The pho is pretty flavorless, but man I tell ya, the bun xeo is bomb diggity. I had it tonight and I went all, hungry hungry hippo on it. I 100% suggest anyone and everyone give it a try. Seriously, they should rename the restaurant, Bun Xeo Bothell. Overall good place. Pho Ga and Iced coffee was good. Was welcomed right as I walked in. Food was ready very quickly. Very clean. Nobody checked if food was ok until I went up to the counter to pay, so I was reluctant to leave any tip. Prices are on par with all other Pho restaurants. Parking is horrible!! read more

The broth is good the egg rolls are excellent but the service was horrible. The owner (father) should probably be in the back cooking instead of serving. He was very rude, acted like we interrupted his Netflix show on his iPad. Took our order and we never heard from him again. I had to ask him for water refill, ice and a soda for my son. It's unfortunate really, being the restaurant is only 6 minutes from our house, we would of been repeat customers 1-2x a week since that's all my kids eat. I can only speak for Take Out as we have not Dined In at Pho Bothell. The Pho is great and broth has great flavor. Can always count on them for preparing a nice hot bowl to go. Also, the broth is packaged in a styrofoam container, wrapped in a bag, sometimes even double bagged! Makes transporting safe, especially in your weekend ride! After I discovered bún bò Hue, pho has basically fallen out of favor with me. I prefer the spicy flavor, rich broth, and firmer noodles. This place has one of the best bún bò Hue in the Seattle area. Frustrating experience! I was sick and wanted pho. Ive ordered from this place in the past and it wasnt great. Wanted to give a second chance. I called for a pick up order and requested a pho thai chin and pho ga chicken. The guy kept saying chicken noodle soup and then hung up before he could even take my name. My husband went to pick it up and said the guy was super disorganized and not friendly. I work in the same complex and get to see the back side of this business everyday. No one at our office will eat here, somebody tried once and got sick. The food storage shed out back is shabby and sits with the door open all day unattended. You can see it for yourself, just drive around the back. The food is then removed from the old shed and prepared by an open back door, occasionally set on the back curb for hours before being brought in for your dining delight. Once day a salad sat on the curb from before noon and was brought inside as I was leaving. Yum... On multiple occasions, we've gotten some weird pranks pulled on us for no reason, and they weren't even funny jokes. I half-heartedly laugh along, but seriously, telling me my card is declined is not a joke. I have a sense of humor, but joking that both of my cards are declined, and then laughing and saying "jk", after you've pretended to swipe several times, just makes me think that I'm going to need to double check my credit card statement to make sure you didn't do anything sneaky. And then one time they got the order wrong, on purpose? Or was that a joke? Because you told it all with a smile? I don't get it. Since this was my first time here I scanned their menu to figure out what other things they had besides pho. The guy who took my order was rushing me to order even though there was no one behind me. I guess playing on an IPad took precedence over customers. I had no idea it would take at least 30 minutes to order takeout. My friend and I go here once a week to enjoy some tasty Vietnamese goodness, not just limited to pho. The restaurant is quite small, so there are many times when lunch hour presents a struggle to find a seat. What do I enjoy at Pho Bothell? Well, it's hard to come up with the names past the number on the menu ("5V, 1P"), but let me try. My favorite so far is the beef noodle bowl. Tender, marinated beef cooked in a mildly sweet sauce, that sits atop vermicelli noodles and fresh vegetables. Other favorites include their banh mi (for those hardcore traditionalists, they do serve the banh mi with Vietnamese ham, etc) available in pork, beef, and chicken. Their pho is well sought after, and their special fried rice has tons of variety with the meats and vegetables. If you should find yourself in Bothell for some reason, drive down Bothell-Everett Highway and visit this hidden treasure behind the opposing car repair joint. read more

No cream puffs, the broth of the Pho isn't as flavored as I would like it... The employees are nice and its very family oriented, but the Pho just isn't as good as Than Brothers. Been there three times now, won't be back. First time got the Bahn Mi, service was terribly slow at lunch with no one else in the restaurant. Husband was ready to walk out. Four people arrived and got their to-go orders before we got our sandwiches. Soup came promptly but was unexceptional. It was exactly the Pho that I've had in other restaurants that had me saying "Oh, I don't care for Pho" when my friends wanted to go out to eat. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't, well . . .GOOD. I don't want to spend ten minutes adding stuff to my soup to give it flavor; if I wanted to do that I'd make my own soup at home. Today I got a pork bahn mi to go. Price is reasonable ($3.50) I guess, except it was mostly bread. And not even great bread. There was one kabob size sliver of meat at the bottom of the bun and very few veggies. I kind of ate it like a taco, push the bits of veggies down by the meat and then bite the bottom part where the meat is and then rip off the empty top bready part. The bread was kind of doughy, too, more like a stale hot dog bun than a crisp, chewy bahn mi bun. In fairness, the place looks clean and has a nice decor. But I won't be back. I'll go ten minutes out of my way to the Bamboo Bowl on Seattle Hill Road. That's the place where I discovered I love (good) Pho. read more

First off, if you visit a Vietnamese restaurant to try their pork chops, I can only think of one description... you are an effin' fool and should be banned from Yelp. I tried the pho and it was a good bowl. I also noticed the hunky MMA students dining from their dojo nearby. They liked it. So, note to those haters: balls-up and try complaining to the staff while they are there. I'd love to see a human pretzel being manufactured on the spot. As for the pho, good soup base and standard noodle density with the basic sides. There's nothing that separates this pho from others. It's not Yelp-alicious but it's not deserving of a 1- or 2-star rating either. Service was fairly quick and the atmosphere was clean and spacious. Lots of parking also. Took my daughter here for lunch today - my first visit. Odd location at the back of a strip mall next to a bodyshop. Nice decor - comfortable seating and very clean. Service was quick and efficient. I had the spicy Pho with steak, shrimp and peanuts. So good! It was spicy but with more than just heat - with FLAVOR! I ordered the large - it was a good portion - filled me up and still had leftovers. My daughter had a chicken Pho and she really enjoyed her meal as well. She added soy sauce and hot sauce to taste - along with the fresh bean sprouts that they brought to the table.
