Before new management, I was coming here very often because it was delicious! I recently moved and came back to visit and had to come back but only to my disappointment, it was not the same. I was a bit sad how you weren't able to choose your meats but was still eager to try. Our food took literally 40 minutes and the pho broth tasted a bit watered down. I also ordered a boba milk tea and it was also watered down. The quality of food wasn't horrible but it is not even close to how it was before. The broth wasn't as hot so our noodles were a bit hard. The owner seemed to be trying and was apologetic but I just don't see myself coming back whenever I visit in town. Also nothing against the owner but when I was eating, a guy came into the establishment asking for the original owner I assume, but was demanding to have him come over because he was owed money. I've tried three Pho places in Yuba City/Marysville/Wheatland CA area. I'm surprised to see this have a 3.4 Yelp review. I think this is the better of three Pho places. The broth in this place actually taste like bone broth made and not "5 spice in a bag" made. The broth portions are generous (for summer) but I can see it being adequate more towards colder season. The noodles are not overcooked, they're bouncy and adds a nice combo with broth. The "meat" portions are generous too. I had 26. Short rib and it had two large short ribs, and all the contents of Dac biet (cartilage, tendon, meat ball and yea including rare steak) for barely a dollar more than the avg pho type prices here. This also have the best French bread for their Banh Mi; appropriately mildly crunchy with doughy soft inside bread, and combine it with the best Dac biet Banh Mi filling and I can it's it's the best Banh Mi in this area and competes well with all other Banh Mi in Sac area. This place aims to please, and the service never skips on getting you want you want and how you want it as you can get mostly any modifications you want in all types of food (Banh mi, boba, pho, etc.). The place have a roomy feel as it hold a lot of seating for the size, and despite not having music, you can hear the sound of music with every delicious food you get here. This is the best phó you can get in YC. It's a small cute restaurant but it's really good! We've been coming here since they first opened. The Thai tea with boba and the chicken bánh mì are another favorite that we always get. Definitely recommend if you're looking for good food. read more

I ordered a Pork Banh Mi. Keep in mind I've ordered these elsewhere that were great. So im biting into it and this huge piece of rubber fat is hard to bite into. Im not that picky but that wasn't a great experience and it made me lose my appetite. The ratio of meat to fat was not as appetizing as I did not order Banh mi with fat as my choice of meat, so please trim it. My girlfriend ordered Shrimp Rolls. The roll itself was burnt in many places or overdone. Inside only had a piece of shrimp (overcooked) and a piece of vegetable that wasn't appetizing. Half cooked half raw, not sure what it was. Nothing else, but a lot of empty space l. So im not sure what their thought process was. Ive had spring rolls that were better or more ingredients. All in all i probably will not go back. read more

Went here on a whim without looking at reviews. We stepped up to the counter to order and it took 5-10 uncomfortable minutes before someone came and took our order - even when they saw us standing there. When ordering, they didn't even have half of the things on the menu anyway. We got a sandwich, shrimp egg rolls, and tea w/ boba. The sandwich was subpar. Shrimp egg rolls were just a small piece of shrimp wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and fried in dirty oil. The tea was so sweet and tasted like maybe it came from a powder or syrup, definitely not brewed there. And the boba in the tea was literally not even cooked - it was HARD. So off putting we literally threw everything in the trash. The place itself is small, with a loud TV playing news. So uncomfortable you can barely hear yourself thing. Not your typical pho restaurant that I'm more familiar with. I lived in San Jose for awhile, so I had my fair share of authentic pho. So far, this is pretty decent pho in Yuba City. The menu is REALLY simple. My first time ordering pho and being able to customized which types of meat I wanted to add. The bowl is huge! I usually order a small in pho restaurants and this was a size large! But wish they had more variety such as bun bo hue :( They also have boba which is great! The tapioca is soft and chewy! Thai tea was really good, my step daughter really enjoyed her huge bowl of pho, and the husband enjoyed his noodle dish with chicken. I was not overly impressed with the bahn mi. Stopped by on an airport run for a late lunch. We came in at 4:02 but they honored the 2-4 happy hour for us, which was awesome! We found the customer service to be really attentive, fast, generous, and courteous. The pork sandwich is on point with crunchy baguette, fresh cucs and cilantro, and marinated meat with a great flavor. The sandwich game here is strong! The pho was also good. The broth has a milder flavor than some, and isn't the best I've ever had (we're wannabe phons...but satisfies our pha cravings!! That warm comforting soup with some rare steak cooking in the broth. Not too shabby for pho in YC. To begin- Yelp says this place opens at 10am but it really opens at 11am. The menu is short and simple: pho, rice plates, sandwiches, drinks and some appetizers. Its open seating and you pay in the front before you get your food. Which doesn't make sense if you get 10% off for checking-in & writing a review when it's your first time eating there. (This was my first time and I'm writing a review after I ate) Pho is $8.95 and it comes in 1 size only and you pick up to 4 different types of protein. I got rare steak, tripe, beef balls and fish balls. Pros- -the size of the bowl is huge and you get a lot of soup. -The broth is good. -Good variety of condiments: hoisin, sriracha, fish sauce, soy sauce, etc. Cons- -big bowl means it's going to be filled up with A LOT of soup and LESS noodles/ protein -I love extra crunch !! The amount of bean sprout , basil, jalapeño and 1 lemon is NOT enough for the GIANT bowl that you get. Also got drinks : a strawberry milk tea and Thai tea- both pretty good. Fast service - we got our food quickly. Also, not too sure if they did this on purpose- but there were only male workers (at least when I was there). I mean - i don't care but this is different. I've grown up on Pho, so for my first visit here I decided not to try the soup because I knew I'd be insanely picky and give tough judgement. My fiance and I tried a rice bowl and a rice plate instead. They did a phenomenal job on the Korean BBQ'd meat and their pork. My rice bowl didn't have enough dressing for the huge quantity they served me.. but it was easily remedied by just asking for more. It was very flavorful, but on the milder side (our general population doesn't do spicy well anyway so that's why), but it's easily remedied with the chili sauce and fish sauce on the table to doctor things up. I'm pretty sure I didn't get my 10% discount on this check-in and review, which is a promotion they are offering as part of their opening, but that won't stop me from returning. All in all, this is a fantastic place to have in Yuba City and you should come in and give them a try. read more
