So we have been going to this place a couple years now. I first fell in love with the fried pork egg rolls they are my favorite in town still! The brisket is cooked well but the broth is sweeter then I like . I'm having a hard time justifying $15.50 for a bowl of pho I first loved pho because it was economical but this place has changed with all the upgrades they want to increase prices. Maybe we only go on slow days but I never see many others in there maybe they have caught on too. The prices went up twice the last few times I've been there. Since I can get pretty decent pho elsewhere I can no longer justify the prices . Service is good. Restaurant is simply decorated. We ordered hot tea, Steak Pho Deluxe, Orange Chicken and Beef Pad Thai. The food took a while To arrive, but was very good. The medium Pho was plenty. Orange Chicken tasted good, but my son said it tasted slightly different than other places. He would have liked broccoli a little more cooked. I wanted so much to love the food at this place as I LOVE thai food and I ordered through doordash about two months ago. I waited a while to decide if I was going to put my review as I really don't like to say bad things on anyone but... I ended up getting food poisoning from their Pad Thai. The chicken had a strange rubbery texture and wasn't like regular pieces of chicken. I ordered at around 1pm and ended up sick throughout the whole day and night till the next morning. This restaurant has been around for a while, located in a small strip mall just south of Glenn on Campbell on the east side of the street. We thought we would try it since it changed ownership. We were seated with no problem and service was prompt. We both ordered the small combo of Bahn Mi and small pho. I had the traditional Bahn Mi and the rare beef pho. The pho was just enough with plenty of beef and noodles. The Bahn Mi was a full size sandwich. The bread was soft and crusty. The meats were good but I think it needed more seasoning and more fish paste on the sandwich, it was a little dry. The combo was $12 and it was plenty of food and a good choice if you can't choose between pho or a sandwich. read more

I normally come in to eat food and it's always amazing. Ordered online and when I came to pick up my orders ONLY one meal was given because they ran out of the other meal. It doesn't make sense to me why they couldn't have at least CALLED??? to let me know HEY WE ARE OUT OF THIS ORDER, rather saying we didnt have a subtitute option. Like what?? Thanks for at least letting me know?? Maybe I would have LIKED to at least given the option to cancel my order?!! Good as phở, expensive as phở. Amazing Vietnamese coffee. So why do I give this restaurant one rather than, say, four or five stars? It is because when I mentioned that, as I travel often, and in view of CoV, I had not visited since 2018, and compared the new décor, and made other comparative comments regarding my last visit (but politely not comparing pricing, which has increased by some 50% (from $9.76 to $14.99 for medium phở đặc biệt)), staff deliberately obfuscated that this is no longer Pho 88, but has changed hands. In short, they lied: they consciously concealed the change of ownership, saying, for example, that it was the "owner" (not the "new owner") who had updated the décor. Finally, per my notes, on 3/21/2022, as I was preparing to each lunch, saw that it charges 3%, which is a scam and violates Visa's rules, https://usa.visa.com/dam/VCOM/download/merchants/surcharging-faq-by-merchants.pdf. Walked inside and spoke with a greeter and asked whether the restaurant surcharges debit cards, and she confirmed it. I told her that it violates Visa's rules, and she shrugged it off, blaming her boss. Told her I wouldn't eat there, even though the food was great, but she was unfazed. Damn, this pho is amazing. I ordered the banh mi and side pho special with raw beef. The soup was amazing! The stock is seriously so well developed and so satisfying, the noodles have texture and hold up well in the liquid, and the beef was the softest most tender and nourishing beef I have ever eaten. The banh mi was large and in charge, with traditional fillings it satisfies. I also ordered the five vegetable rolls which came with noodles, cucumbers, and lettuce. In addition we ordered the sweet chili and the peanut sauce on the side. This little nook off Campbell is casual with food well worth the price. read more

I got the pho dac biet which is the special pho that is filled with rare/cooked beef, tripe, tendon, and beef meatballs that go well with the rich beef stock and the soft vermicelli noodles. Me and my fiancé have loved near this place for years and never tried it, but we did today and it was so good! The atmosphere is welcoming and it's clean inside. I got the pho and bah mi special and each was delicious! The sandwich was by far my favorite. The bread is perfectly toasted and each ingredient tastes fresh! The only reason I didn't give 5 starts was because we did not get any refill on our waters while here; and my fiancé got a super spicy soup which made us run out of water fast! Came here after watching Solo Story on Saturday at 7pm. There were 3 other customers here. Maybe it's the fact that this place is still fairly new that it's quite empty. The parking lot is small but the place wasn't too hard to find. Decor: I found the decor to be decent. Black tables with some wall decorations. There's also two tvs and music playing here. Cleaning: I like that the restaurant does a thorough job cleaning their tables, but the smell is a bit strong for someone who is trying to eat and itches my nose. They should just spray the chemicals onto the towel and then clean it instead of spraying directly on the table. My SO ordered the Thai tea here. It's a bit small for $3.00, but it tastes good. I ordered a large Bun Bo Hue, a Vietnamese spicy noodle soup made with pork and beef. The broth tasted morr sweet than spicy but adding the side of spices made it taste much more spicy and better in my opinion. It needed more noodles. Portion was quite small for a "large" compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. My SO ordered the large Pho Dac Biet, pho with an assortment of meats. His broth was also flavorful but again, portion quite small for a large and for the price of $9.99 compared to other pho places like Miss Saigon. As a Vietnamese person who can make these dishes and have eaten at various Vietnamese restaurants, I know good Vietnamese food when I eat it. This place isn't amazing and falls slightly short compared to Miss Saigon, but their food isn't bad. It's just that the price point and portion doesn't quite match up. But, they do have a 15% discount for students (well, when I went, they had a discount sign). I think this place deserves a solid 3.5 stars, but since that isn't an option here, I'm giving it a 4. If I lived closer, I'd probably come back here to try something else. Also, the staff was nice here. read more

They seem like they're taking all of the correct precautions for Covid. They were doing take out and have shield up in their pay counter area. The pho was well packed to go, but I didn't get cilantro with vegetables. The broth was OK, but not exceptional by any means. The fat wasn't as well skimmed as I would have wanted. I do enjoy myself some Banh Mi and Pho. So when I find myself at a restaurant that serves both, I can't just pick only one so I order both. Now this place has a banh mi and small pho combo. That is the perfect combo meal for me and won't hurt my wallet and/or gut as I don't need to order two separate meals. Now the food itself. My beef banh mi was delicious with a flaky and fluffy bread with filling that packs some punch with every bite. The brisket pho was quite flavorful and was portioned just enough to make the average person full. I was excited to try this place after getting a boba taro smoothie from the new Ni Hao Tea spot around the corner but I'm quiet disappointed. We ordered to go from the Grubhub app and my husband picked up our food. 1. Dac Biet Banh Mi (Deluxe) - No where online did the order say the sandwich would come "deconstructed". There was plenty pork and sauce, but the veggies for the sandwich came sparingly in a bag on the side. Which was just inconvenient and upsetting. I was looking forward to unwrapping the sandwich and letting my husband have the first bite because he had never had a Banh Mi before. Having to "build" the sandwich took away from the surprise aspect. It tasted good even though the French loaf was unevenly toasted. The bread was falling apart in some parts and so toasted in other parts a piece of bread could give you the equivalent of a paper cut in your mouth. It's also a messy sandwich breadcrumbs got everywhere! If I ever crave a Banh Mi again and this location is my only option, I would maybe eat in instead of ordering Togo. 2. Pho Dac Biet (Deluxe) - The pho tasted good but it tasted more like lemongrass broth with oil on top then standard pho broth. The order came with enough Hoisin and Siracha sauce packets, but the meat options were not adequate to a large pho order. The online menu also did not say it came with tripe, and tripe was included. I won't be ordering pho here again. 3. Pad Thai (spicy) - This was the winner. The spicy option was delicious!!! The order came with a side of crumbled peanuts, I could see myself asking for an additional side of peanuts for future orders if I crave extra peanut crunch. The noodles were oily but not too oily, the cilantro added was just enough. My husband opted for the beef option, and the beef was plentiful to the noodles. I am having surgery tomorrow morning. All I wanted was some nice, heavy fried rice. But, I guess you ran out of ingredients and skill at exactly the same time, then handed this junk off to the Uber driver with a crooked smile and a laugh. This isn't terrible. This was something else, like catching a neutrino in a basket filled with tasteless emptiness. When did you miss that fried rice means adding heat, and well, frying it? It's not supposed to be totally white and starchy. And the tofu my wife ordered... We are still planning to test it for use in automotive applications after the dogs refuse to eat it. First and foremost, I ordered delivery through GrubHub and was (1) excited that I found a place that delivers and (2) was pleased with the prompt delivery service that I received. When you use the GrubHub app it automatically puts a tip in, so hopefully the wonderful driver receives that. If not... let me know and I'll come visit in person! Let's start with the egg rolls. Oh-my-word they were so amazingly crispy that I was thinking "why didn't I get 10 of these?!" as I savored them. This is definitely a great option and if you're like me and like something that is crispy, stuffed full of goodness, and kicks your tastebuds in the face... yeah, get the egg rolls (the ones with meat everyone!). Meatball pho. Where oh where do I begin?! Okay so the meatballs were kind of the standard meatball. Nothing more amazing than the meatballs I've had elsewhere, but I appreciated how they were cut. This is always what I try first a new pho place, for some reason I've made meatball my traditionally 'test you out', and I am happy to say they were good. And the pho comes with all of your fixings: bean sprouts, very fresh and crisp. They make little pops if you eat them instead of putting them in the pho (couldn't help myself). Basil and cilantro were both extremely fresh and it was an ample portion of leafy greens to add. Nice jalapenos as well. Some yummy little onions on top. And there was a little spice that was on top (not sure what but it was a powder) that was nice. I tried the broth before I added the fish sauce and spicy sauce (my mom always said try it before you add your sauce, because how else do you know what you're saucing). The broth was delicious. I would actually just buy the broth and drink it straight, it was very yummy. But then, of course, like the person I am, I dumped the fish sauce and spicy sauce in and created a masterpiece. Really, really hit the spot! I absolutely recommend this place. It was amazing. Everything even arrived steamy hot (and it was raining outside!) and I loved how they made the packaging really cute. **Originally incorrectly merged into Pho 88 reviews 3/6/2018 Formerly Pho 88 and as of today's visit the Pho 88 sign is still outside but business cards and menus inside reflect the name change to Pho Can Tho. There appears to be some freshening up of the inside with a new checkout counter, new tables, TVs and music. The menu has been scaled back considerably but fortunately the pho remains good and pretty close to that of Pho 88 which I very much liked. The egg rolls were a bit different than Pho 88 but equally tasty albeit a little on the small side. It will be interesting to continue to check in on this place to see how it develops. It's off to a good start but I already miss the nice old server lady from Pho 88. read more
