I tried it today for the first time. The interior was tidy, and looked clean. I had the house fried rice. Nice and crispy, tasted fantastic. The girl running the front was very sweet and friendly, and the price was about what I'd expect. I plan on going back for the noodles and will update. Best Pho on the west side, without question. In fact, in my opinion the flavor of the Pho Dac Biet is vying for the top spot in Wichita. Plus, they don't short you on the meats like most of the "best pho" places in town do. The spring rolls are delicious and fresh; obviously made to order and not pulled from a refrigerator. I usually order Pho but their pork chops I've had, and are amazing. My Wife and I eat here pretty frequently and the staff are literally some of the most friendly and attentive servers we've ever met. We can't recommend this place enough! read more

I've eaten here a couple of times already and each time the service was friendly and amazing . The food was equally as amazing. My go-to pho is always pho dac biet and theirs is by far the best. But they always have specials that are worth trying. The short rib pho is definitely a must try. They've got great prices with great serving sizes. And the bar provides a really good atmosphere for enjoying some vietnamese food. I'm definitely coming back. read more

I was visiting Wichita from Southern California. I wanted to give my family in Wichita the experience of Pho. Had takeout from Pho Cao and was extremely delighted with the Quality and Flavor of the soup. I live near Westminster and Garden Grove in California which to me is the center of the Vietnamese community in America. Pho Cao is as good if not better then the locals here. I came in not knowing what to expect but left very satisfied. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and clean. I was also welcomed with warm smiles when entering. From the menu, I ordered the Pho Dac Biet which consists of a variety of different meats and I also ordered a Mango milk tea. The pho came out piping hot and the aroma was delightful. I was pleasantly surprised by how much meat they put into the bowl which is a big plus for me. The broth was just right and noodles tasted fresh. Everything was to my liking. As for the drink, I was a little hesitant on ordering a milk tea from restaurants because of past encounters, but their milk tea was very good. The boba they put into it was soft and chewy and the drink itself wasn't thick. It was just perfect. Ordered vietnamese sandwich and was utterly disappointed. Speechless really when I got home. Got 2 that day, $4.50 each. The sandwich was small, maybe 4" when the traditional Banh Mi is usually 6-8". There were about 4-5 thin slices of unflavored meat, tiny and sparse shreds of Unpickled carrots/radish and 2 cilantro leaves. I will NEVER make this mistake again. For me to write a negative review, just one star, the food had to be really bad. The spring rolls came out and the ingredients were not fresh, lettuce and shrimp smelled and tasted foul. The vermicelli bowl did not get any better, noodles over cooked and again ingredients not fresh. Our server was very attentive and nice, this one star.
