I was excited to try this new place since it had really high reviews here on yelp. We placed an order for eggrolls, broken rice with grilled pork and eggrolls, and special combination pho. Service was quick. We initially decided to eat at the tables outside because it was SUPER hot and humid inside the restaurant and it was actually cooler outside. But we couldn't enjoy our meal outside either because my kids and I were constantly bothered by bees. We decided to finish our dinner inside the restaurant and brought all of our dishes inside. The eggrolls were ok, a bit greasy and needed more herbs other than the provided lettuce leaves and mint. The pho broth was tasty, but the bean sprouts they served with it weren't fresh. They were old and brown on the tips. My kids usually love grilled pork, but they didn't like this one because it was too sweet. There's self serve water from a dispenser on the counter. It would have been nice if they had ice water available especially during the middle of the heat wave this weekend. We might give this place another try...maybe during the winter months or if we want to feel like we're actually eating pho in Saigon during summer. Pho Central was a solid spot to satisfy our family of three's soup + spring roll cravings! We shared 2 bowls of pho (pho special and well done steak pho) as well as 4 spring rolls (2 grilled chicken, 2 grilled pork). The meat in the pho was really tender and good quality, and both kinds of spring rolls were scrumptious pro tip: you get a tiny tub of chili oil with your pho, but if you add some of that onto the grilled pork spring rolls with the peanut sauce- ‍ super yummy combo forreal. We were there for vacation and stopped by for some Pho. Best Vietnamese food I've ever had in America. The pho and spring roll was excellent and very authentic. The Thai ice tea was amazing and the best I had so far. The pricing is fair for the portion of the food. The owner was very friendly and he came you to check on us and made sure the food was ok. I highly recommend visiting. My 11 year old niece asked to go back the next day because it was that good. Had lunch inside. Staff was super nice. Food was less than ok. The rare beef pho meat was dry. The broth was decent but definitely not amazing. It had a touch of sweetness, but more so salty than anything. The egg rolls had crispy wrappers, but were skinny like lumpia. I didn't taste any meat and they were mushy on the inside. I would stay clear of the "tempura" shrimp. It's not tempura, but more of a penko crust. Other than the ketchup that they are served with, they have ZERO flavor. Tasted like a frozen appetizer. This place would be fine for lunch on the run, when you work in a nearby complex, but it's far from being a definite go to for pho. I've eaten at almost every pho restaurant in North County, this one will not be a return visit. read more

Very tasty food. Normally id need to add a lot of hoisin and sriracha to get a good flavor to my pho, but this broth was very flavorful. The restaurant is small, so service is fast. Most people got food to go. Nice location, easy to park and easy to find. Thanks for the Thai tea. read more

Facility: Order at the counter with limited indoor seating and competing music vs. large screen TV with sports programming on. Large outdoor seating area. Service: Good, save a slight reluctance to part with a few extra napkins requested. Pho: Tasty enough broth, but the meat (rare & well done steak) was rather sparse. Served with small packet of packaged hoisin sauce, packet of Sriracha sauce, and a small plate of bean sprouts and basil. Utensils were plastic picnic-style including an annoyingly small soup spoon. Verdict: Acceptable with a decent price point, however, nothing to write home about. read more

The pho is amazing, service is excellent, price is perfect! We were in the Carlsbad area today and we were looking for some good food on Yelp and stumbled upon Pho Central. They are a brand new Vietnamese restaurant in the area, just opened 5 weeks ago according to the manager. David was so kind and helpful in taking our order, making great recommendations, and really took the time to make us feel welcome. We ordered the rare steak pho, one of the most popular items, along with a pork banh mi sandwich, and grilled pork spring rolls with peanut sauce. We also got the Thai milk tea with boba and Jasmine milk tea. Everything was delicious, the pho broth was very well seasoned and tasty and the pork spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce was unusually deep with flavor compared to others we've tried. I loved the Jasmine Milk tea as well. It has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and it's located in a plaza with a big parking lot. Definitely it's a great place to get some excellent pho at around $12 a bowl. read more
