Perfect lunch spot! Food is ALWAYS great and comes out quick! The spring rolls are so yummy and the shrimp pho is always a hit! Parking lot gets really busy during lunch time due to the amount of businesses in this small area but worth it!

This is the perfect lunch spot. The are polite and very fast with their service and the food. The restaurant is clean and ready for quick turn over of tables. The portions are large and we loved everything we ate. I think my favorito was the bok choy and the stir fry noodles. We'll absolutely be back, thanks again.

Came here for lunch but ended needed to order the food to go as I was in more of a rush than I anticipated. So I went to the counter to place the order for my lunch. I ended up order the vermicelli house special and the vermicelli grilled pork. Coming from a household that grew up on this type of food I was expecting the house special to include the traditional Vietnamese items. To my surprise I was shocked at what was included in the vermicelli house special. I probably should have read what was included instead of just assuming it would be traditional items. When I opened my to go box to my surprise I had similar amount of protein as the order with just the grilled pork. I had a mixture of some chicken, some pork and 2 pieces of grilled shrimp and one egg roll. Needless to say, I was disappointed. On to the taste of food, The vermicelli was awful, it was hard and tasted uncook which I feel like is difficult since you just had to boil them hot water. The egg roll tasted bitter from some parts being over fried/burnt. The grill pork tasted okay and the shrimp was severely overcooked. Wouldn't recommend coming back

Came in since it was right across from my hotel and I could walk over. Nice inside, very clean and looked new. Was greeted right away an offered a menu and some water. I almost always get the same thing but like to look to see what they have before deciding. Got my usual beef stew and the fresh spring rolls with shrimp. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee to wash it all down. Beef stew was very good, lots of flavorful broth, carrots and onion. Beef was a little chewy, not the best cuts but tasty Spring rolls were awesome, fresh and delicious. Peanut sauce was thick and yummy. Iced coffee was good, pre are, not the dripping in a glass of ice you get at some places but good. Service was good, friendly and efficient

Solid choice for doordash in Carlsbad area. Pho was not salty which i liked and tasted good and healthy. Enough meats and veggie garnishes. Could also save and reheat for next day. Enjoyed thai boba as well!

The inside seems like it can use some updates. As for service, they were attentive however the food was okay. Really the Vietnamese coffee was the only thing I enjoyed.

This is the worst pho we have ever had. I would give it zero stars if that was an option. My wife and I ordered a veggie pho with beef broth and a beef pho to go. Immediately we knew something was wrong. It was definitely off and tasted like it had gone bad. The noodles were chopped up like grains of rice. Who does that to noodles? Defeats the whole purpose of ordering noodles! Not only were the noodles in tiny pieces... They were extremely mushy. It was like eating slimy mashed potatoes. We couldn't even take a second bite and had to toss the whole thing. Left us feeling sick to our stomach. Do not waist your money here. Really terrible food And a complete waste of money.

I've always ordered food to go through door dash here. Food is good. Meat are well marinated and flavorful. Good on portion as well. The only downfall was they tend to forget to include utensils even when it's stated on the receipt. Other than that, they're service when it comes to ordering food is pretty quick. Customer service can be better.

I honestly can't recommend Pho Central in Carlsbad enough. After trying a lot of different pho…read morerestaurants around North County, this has easily become one of my favorite spots. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels clean, welcoming, and relaxed, and the staff makes you feel like you're genuinely appreciated as a customer instead of just another order. The first thing that stood out to me was the pho. The broth has that rich, comforting flavor that you can tell comes from taking the time to prepare it properly instead of rushing it. It's clean, aromatic, and full of flavor without being overly salty or greasy. The noodles always have a great texture, and the meat is fresh and tender. Whether you order the rare steak pho, chicken pho, or the special combination pho, every bowl is satisfying and comes with generous portions. The appetizers are just as impressive. The egg rolls come out hot and perfectly crispy, while the fresh spring rolls taste incredibly fresh and pair perfectly with the peanut sauce. Their bánh mì sandwiches are another hidden gem--the bread has a nice crisp exterior while staying soft inside, and the fillings are flavorful and well-balanced. If you're not in the mood for soup, the grilled pork vermicelli bowls and broken rice plates are also excellent choices. One thing that really separates Pho Central from other restaurants is the service. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure customers have a great experience. The food comes out surprisingly fast, even when they're busy, and everything is presented neatly. The restaurant itself is spotless and has a cozy, comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to relax whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or eating with friends or family. There's plenty of parking nearby, and the location is convenient while still feeling like a local hidden gem. The prices are also very fair, especially considering the quality of the food and the portion sizes. It's becoming harder to find restaurants that consistently deliver fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, great service, and reasonable prices all in one place, but Pho Central does exactly that. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food in Carlsbad, this place absolutely deserves a visit. It's clear why so many locals keep coming back. Between the flavorful pho, delicious appetizers, fresh ingredients, welcoming staff, clean restaurant, and overall attention to detail, Pho Central has earned every one of its five stars. I'll definitely keep coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving amazing Vietnamese food. This is one of those restaurants that you find once and then keep recommending to everyone you know.

Family-Friendly Escape Near Legoland…read more While staying at the nearby Legoland Hotel, a few of us moms decided to sneak away from our husbands and kids for a quick break, and this place was a fantastic find! It features a variety of food stalls serving fresh, high-quality dishes, which was a very welcome break from the typical fried hotel food. With options ranging from pizza and fried chicken to a great selection of Asian cuisines like Thai and Chinese, it is an easy way to accommodate different tastes within a family or across multiple families. I especially loved the fresh, piping-hot dishes (we got the pad see ew) from the Thai food stall paired with a delicious cocktail from the central bar. Before heading back, we also grabbed some mini donuts to bring to the kids. The space is incredibly accommodating, with plenty of indoor seating options including bar tables, cozy booths, and standard tables. On top of that, they have several arcade games on-site, making this a highly viable and fun dining option for families with kids. Would recommend as a viable option if you're in the area.

Well, if you're hungry but can't exactly decide how to satisfy that hunger, just follow the windmill to the Windmill Food Hall. That's what we did and were soon face-to-face with fourteen different food vendors, ranging the ethnic gamut from Thai to Chinese to Sushi to Burgers to Lobster to Pizza to Mexican and pretty much anything your hungry little heart craves. Our party of three scattered into three directions and reunited at a table for our eclectic lunch. My wife went with meatballs from Cacio because Craft Pizza didn't sell slices, just a 12" pizza. My brother-in-law went with a Honey Walnut Shrimp plate from Secret Sauce Wok, and I went with sushi and miso soup from Rolled Up Sushi. I loved my lunch, starting with a nice flavorful Miso Soup ($5) that was served in a coffee cup! My eight Spicy Tuna Rolls ($14) were most definitely spicy. Now, since I love spicy food I was thrilled because 98% of the spicy tuna rolls I've had over the years are ho-hum on the old spiciness meter. Not these. The food hall was packed, and we saw many families having lunch there. Kids were all over, including some uniformed sports teams. The kids were also at the many video and arcade games on the premises, while bigger kids were entertaining themselves at Windmill's big bar. What a fun place for a fun food experience.

Gabriel checked us in, seated us, took our order, served our food and waited on us for majority of our visit, I would give him 10 stars just on his impeccable service. The food though? The food was AMAZING!! Everything we ordered was the best we have ever had anywhere. The buns were very kawaii (and we ordered ever single one to try). The fillings were savory, but we also loved their seasonal panda bun with ube filling while the kids preferred the nutella bunny. Best chicken karaage we've had by far, the coating almost tasted like it was rolled in kinako powder. The ramen broth was "chef's kiss" with so much flavors, the crab rangoon were jumbo and the filling was delicious, but the chicken katsu was also the best we have had anywhere (including Hawaii). The breading was just top tier crunchy while the chicken was thick and juicy. There isn't one bad thing I could say about this place, from the service to the food, I would make the drive out here again. I was the only customer in the restaurant and waited for my order for over 25 minutes, while the staff were socializing (in a language not everyone understands). I spoke up and said I had been waiting over 25 minutes for the Thai tea boba after being told it would only take 10 minutes. The staff said the boba takes time to prepare and I responded that they should have given a realistic lead time. As a customer, I felt ignored, alienated and forgotten about. I have nothing against different cultures but it's not polite or welcoming for staff to be socializing in a manner that is ethnocentric and exclusionary, acting like customers are invisible. A word of advice to customers: don't tip staff in advance but only tip if they deliver on what was agreed, and no less. Tipping staff who are not truthful or go back on their word is a waste of money. Tipping is not mandatory but only if the service meets expectations. Staff who don't care about their customers are not deserving of tips.
