I thought this place was very pleasant and had a nice feel when you walk in the door. The people are as friendly as can be and the food was fantastic.The noodles were not overcooked and were bundled so you can finish the bowl easier. no one thought it would be this great but is was. I thought the cashier was very friendly and was happy with the resuraunt. the place was not aromatic. and your dish was the only thing that you can smell. Overall i thought it was awesome and i am defiantly coming back! also the bamboo rooftops were fancy and was imaginable. read more

The food was ok, got chicken chow mein. It was extremely greasy which isn't something I enjoy all the time. Also got rangoons which were really good, but again really greasy. The waiter was extremely rushed and I had been siting for 20 minutes to get asked if I was ready to order 8 times. That's by exactly what I'd think of good customer service. I didn't try the pho here but I figured that I would try their combination fried rice and lemongrass chicken. Both were not good. Fried rice (the rice) tasted like it was old. The chicken was thigh meat, covered with a little bit of seasoning. I expected more from a Vietnamese restaurant. It was an ok place to eat, a little small. Service was good. Alright, the tendon pho from all the reviews IS the way to go. My only complaint is that they should put more noodles too in the large bowl. Soup was tasteful and did not leave me desiring oodles of H2O later. Service was okay. They forgot to give us chopsticks until l looked around and note that other tables had them (Hey, I'm in Nevada--perhaps they had expected everyone to not use chopsticks there). I would normally give them 4 stars but had to ding them for their facilities. The restrooms are OUTSIDE, around the backside of the building. You literally have to walk outside and go back in 25F weather. What the heck? Its FREEZING and not safe IMHO at night. It also cheapens the dining experience to feel like a road pit stop. This place has the best Tendon Pho ever! And this is coming from a girl who lives in LA and has tried Phos from a ton of other cities across the States (I always make a point to get Pho every week when I travel out of town for business). It is always really hard to find a Pho place that serves decent tendons in West LA, and this place always satisfies my cravings with big fat generous pieces of tendons. SO GOOD...The service can be a bit inconsistent at times though. Today I was provided a pair of disposable chopsticks that was completely exposed from its packaging (which looked like it was trampled on by someone), and they also tried to charge me for an order of Spring Rolls that never came. Even thou I didn't have pho the #100 was off the hook. My brother had the honey walnut prawns and they were delish, I just wish the gave a bigger serving. Pho is the type of restaurant we like! Good food (nothing crazy but you will enjoy), quick to get your dish, and reasonable price!

I live in San Diego and we have a large Asian community including Vietnamese. We are blessed to have awesome Asian restaurants and Vietnamese of course . I found the Pho beef fairly plain at that restaurant !! No flavor ! The Thai basil was old and many leaves were black. The meat was flavorless . I had to use lots of condiments to bring up the dish . The noodles were sluggish ! I paid with my credit card and they forgot to give it back I realized in San Diego today as I flew back that they never gave me back my credit card now missing ! I called the restaurant and the person on other line just had no idea what I was asking ....he did not understand me and did not speak English !He actually hung up on me (lol) as I was trying to explain to him they never gave me back my credit card the nite before and wanted to confirm the restaurant had it! I had to have a friend of mine go to the restaurant and confirmed they had my credit card . It is unfortunate that the staff or owner is not able to understand his customers ! My friend mailed me my credit card he got from the restaurant ( no apology by the way ) .! read more

Great food and great service. I went into the restaurant to order pho to go, and the man who took my order asked another staff member to seat me and get me a cup of tea (free of charge). It was 10 minutes or so and all the food was packaged in a way to prevent spills, with all the pho toppings separately. Everything was delicious. We'll definitely be back. read more

On a nice cold rainy day, all you want to do is curl up on the couch with a blanket and watch movies with your love one as you have soup and relax.. But why have soup when you can have PHO'. At PHO country you can choose from all kinds of PHO.. I normally get the 33, which is wontons, chicken, pork and shrimp.. The soup is huge, and hot which I love on a cold, snowy or rainy day. The flavor is amazing and makes your tummy happy. This place is a great hole in the wall place in Carson. Most people dont know about it, but if you have a chance give it a try. So we came all the way from San Jose, Calif., to visit the Nevada State Museum, and our Carson City lunch of choice was Pho Country. We enjoyed every dish, including spring rolls, egg rolls, seafood noodle soup, grilled pork and grilled shrimp. The only complaint might be is that the grilled pork is a marinated too much. As far as the service, I could see how people could feel they're getting attitude. We saw a definite eye roll/annoyed head bob when we were assigned a table for 4, but had 5 in our party, so we needed a different table. But later, the same guy joked with us when we asked if they had bun rieu, saying with a wink that we'd need to go to California for that! They also give you a liter plastic container of water if you want refills of your water which seems odd but is actually more efficient. The atmosphere is quite pleasant, too, considering it's a converted Taco Bell building if you look closely. read more

Sort of streaky place--which is typical in Carson City--The Bun meals are huge-The Pho soups are huge..-but they have some troubling service habits..One night I was there eating at 8:10pm--They were closing at 9:00 pm that night..Suddenly the wait staff started stacking unused chairs on their tables--That always means I am getting the "bum's rush" in any restaurant..It made me uncomfortable. I love the pho, I watch my boyfriend love the pho, and the entrees are so flavorful- that chicken in the clay pot with the lemongrass, veggies, and coconut milk was great. I really liked this place, they have very good food and service. I started with the fried Prawns as a appetizers, and they were off the hook, huge golden brown and delicious. My wife ordered the Pho and was very happy, and I ordered the combo plate. The meals came to the table hot and fast, but they gave us enough time to enjoy are appetizer before are entrees came to the table. Food is excellent and the ambient is very nice. I was longing for Pho by the time I get to Carson City and decided to try out this Pho place. The soup is very falvorful.
