Omg. Best pho in Vegas?? So, allll day I was craving pho. A little about me, even though I'm Viet american, pho isn't my go-to Viet bowl of choice. Mostly because there's a distinct taste from my childhood that gives a cozy, family meal. So when I put hope in a pho place, I'm normally left a bit underwhelmed. Well that wasn't the case tonight. It was already late, roughly half past 9 before we left to get meal. Loved that this place is open until midnight. I wish more bomb pho places were open late night. We walked in, and every. single. table. was full except for 1 right in the front by the door. Full of older asians too (That's a very good sign)- I'm starving, shoot I'll take it. This older gentleman gave us waters immediately and was eagerly ready to take our order. Too bad their menu is full of bangers so it took me a good minute just to choose. All my favorite go-to Viet favorites for a reaaaally good price too. (Admittedly chose this place from the price and business hours but didn't realize the degree of yummy foods they had available. A good amount, but not too many options if you catch my drift) We finally ordered and got drinks. I was STUNNED how quickly our drinks came out. Full house but got a smoothie and green thai tea in like 30 seconds?! I was gagged. They were spot on good. The smoothie was the perfect texture and the thai tea was what you expect a thai tea to be. Yum. We get our bowls of pho. Looks phenomenal. As much as I love appetizers, I skipped today because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to finish my beef rib pho. My friend got the combo pho. I always taste my broth before adding any extras into it (lime, herbs, sauce) and I WAS HOOKED. Truly this was such a rejuvenating, aromatic, true Vietnamese bowl of mfkn pho. I think this is the first time I believed the pho was so perfect it didn't even need anything added to it. It was also hot. Like the Viet ideal level of hot. Long story short, I finished my entire bowl in one sitting. I basically inhaled that bowl. Which is a rare occurrence for me as I normally am the slowest eater of my group or always the one who has to ask for a to go box. I was tempted not to write a review just to keep this place my little slice of heaven but honestly, they deserve this review. Even at the end of our meal, a kind woman came up to us and asked how our meal was. Um, lady, you just changed the trajectory of my night??? You guys renewed my faith in the Vietnamese cooks in vegas?! Mind you, I've been to handfuls of pho places. I always secretly hope I can get a taste of a family home cooked meal. I got the pho sate and my friend had the grilled pork rice, and both were really good. The broth was super fragrant and balanced, and the pork was tender with a nice char and a lot of flavor. We finished everything fast. We came in about 45 minutes before closing and the staff were still really friendly and quick, which we appreciated. Have been craving some soup noodles so decided to try out Pho Da Lat after seeing the good reviews. It is a small family-run joint with not too many tables, quite popular during meal time. I came for Saturday lunch and they were full. I did not order, but I saw that many others ordered their drinks, which looked really nice. For my food, I got the Banh Canh Cua (crab), which is the thick noodle in a crab sticky broth. There was not a ton of crab, but a lot of other assorted seafood and fishballs. I liked the shallot oil they added on the soup, it added another dimension of flavor. The soup itself was already very flavorful, full of umami. Not bad, would recommend. read more

The lotus root salad was so unique and tasty. I liked the hint of spicy burn with the crunchy lotus root texture and some shrimps to go along with it. The bun rieu was flavorful and a huge portion. The pho was a generous portion as well with a great helping of beef. We also ordered the mashed avocado and durian drink. So interesting in flavors and textures but overpowering towards the end. The lotus root salad came out at an okay pace but the noodles took quite some time which is different from what we're used to. We're from the SF Bay Area and pho always comes out super fast after ordering. If you have the time, the food is worth the wait! First time trying this spot and it did not disappoint!! The restaurant is small but I liked that they decorated for Halloween and staff is very friendly. I ordered the chicken banh cảnh (Vietnamese udon-like) and the broth is so very delicious and rich! I found myself going back for more sips. Pricing is higher than average but are completely justified by how large their portions are. Their Vietnamese coffee is decadent and a good portion for how strong it is. If you've never tried Vietnamese coffee I highly recommend you give it a shot, especially if you're a coffee lover! Cute little store front in a strip mall. We've seen this place on socials multiple times and wanted to give it a try. We stopped in for lunch and the place was pretty full, and smelled delicious. We weren't starving so we decided to get the roll your own spring rolls platter with shrimp and beef. Portions were good size, enough for each of us to have 4-5 spring rolls. Fret not, there is no judging on spring rolling technique lol cause we would have failed. They didn't look pretty but wow the flavor was there. Was not in the least bit disappointed. I really wanted to like this place because it's the closest pho restaurant to my apartment, so I was hoping it would become a go-to spot. Unfortunately, my first impression was rough. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted at all (and the door has a very loud bell attached to it so there's no way my entrance went unnoticed). The place was much smaller than I expected and all the tables were in very close quarters. The man behind the counter, who I assume is the owner, stayed focused on his computer, tip tapping away on the screen and didn't even look up at me. I stood there for what felt like a long 20 seconds, just a few feet away from him, trying to figure out where to find a menu. When he finally decided to look over at me, he pointed aggressively toward the counter where the menus laid. No smile, no greeting, no warmth. It honestly made me feel like I shouldn't even be there and I was very close to walking out. Despite the awkward start, I decided to stay and ordered the Pho Dac Biet and a Beef Banh Mi, totaling $31. He notified me it would be a 25 minute wait. I didn't even wait for my food inside because the atmosphere felt so uninviting. Instead, I sat in my car, waiting for 15 minutes before finally coming inside to sit and wait for the last 10 minutes. To be fair, the food was really good; flavorful broth, tender meat, and a solid banh mi. No complaints about the food at all. That said, good food doesn't make up for poor service. Maybe it's because I work in customer service myself, but I can't overlook how unwelcome and uncomfortable I felt with the entire interaction. I've been to plenty of Vietnamese pho spots and know the service can be laid-back, but this felt outright dismissive and rude. Bottom line: the food is great, but I won't be coming back. Within our bubble, had rice noodles and vegan broth. Ordered 2 veggie Pho over the phone. Pho Da Lat is located off Flamingo near Decatur inside a strip mall. Plenty of parking. When I pulled up so was another car. Upon walking in, all the tables were full and had smiling customers gobbling up the food in front of them inside this smaller sized place. Greeted by a smiling face upon walking in. The driver of the other vehicle was placing an order. A table leaving let the server know that was the best they've eaten. All great signs for me being a first time customer. Server told me two more minutes and to have a seat. I paid for the food and saw they offer a loyalty program. Just as I was done out came the food, hot and ready. Once home we opened the bag to two styrofoam boxes full of veggies and noodles and two large plastic cylinders full of vegan broth.
