One of the reasons I like Vegas is that it's one of the better places in the US for East or Southeast Asian food. Like, not to the extent of SGV or OC, but pretty solid. I'm a fan of small places with their own unique taste and qualities, and while driving around with friends one night lucked into Da Lat. Went back the next week too, and have since been back a number of times. It's nice to have a place like this to go in between my trips to Vietnam, and for Vegas for me it's five stars. Almost every time I go, this small place is packed, and somehow there's just enough seating. The kitchen turns out pretty consistent quality, and has a few popular specialties such as bánh xèo. The service is small-staff-being-nice-and-trying-hard. I tend toward noodle soups, but have been happy with everything I've eaten. It's definitely a place I recommend, and a place I bring people. By the way, the noodle soup bowls are two-meal huge. And for some of the house specialties, you might have to get there before they run out. read more

Small space but it was packed with patrons. We love that they open late hours. The menu had so many options, we had a tough time deciding what to get. We landed on the com tam bi thịt nuong trung chien (broken rice dish) and the wrap it yourself grilled pork and shrimp. Huge portions! The rice plate had so much meat that towards the end we wished we had more rice to offset the saltiness of the meat. I liked that for the wrap it yourself platter, there was a generous portion of leafy greens and mints. I was surprised that on the check, the rice paper was a $2 additional charge, thought this was unusual for a "wrap it yourself" dish, but maybe some people just wrap it in lettuce? Took a first sip tasted the broth.. Oh man Very bad scented of smell, don't know exactly how to explain but smells like unclean intestine or unclean beef bone like. Big chunk of tendons ( too big ) super thin if rare beef and low quality of brisket. I don't know, may be too Authentic of the style may be. But I would say this is definitely not for me. May be just for me because, the place was packed and I wasn't really looking at the other table of what they ordered or eating but the couple next to me seems like they were Vietnamese and they were having some Vietnamese soup and a steamed hot bowl like some fish in it and I thought they were really enjoying the meal. I guess they knew of what dish to order here. But for me the Fresh roll ( pork/shrimp ) was ok ( Not the sauce tho, sauce wasn't good for me ) the Pho was definitely not for me here. Ambiance was normal like self decoration. Service was normal, didn't get any smiles from the guy who took my order with the tablet he carried and walked around may be he thinks he gets a lot of customers and just don't care about service mind, the girl with a glasses was just a food runner bringing the food out to me and other tables. I saw Da Lat on a YouTube video, and was given very high praise for their authentic Vietnamese food, so we had to try! The restaurant is in a very small strip mall on a very busy Flamingo Road. If you blink, you miss it. Fronting the restaurant, there is ample parking, and i found a stall right in front. Walking in, the restaurant is very small, with enough room for about 6 or 8 parties. Look on the walls, and you will find some specials. Chicken Pho for $7.99, and some buy 2 get one free drinks. I also saw a special for 2 free spring rolls if you go on the Yelp app, which i did! We ordered several items, i don't remember all of the actual names, but we got beef carpaccio, lotus root salad, sausage loaf spring rolls, regular spring rolls (free!), and Chicken Pho. We also got some drinks to take home. Everything was delicious, so tasty and fresh. Well, the chicken pho was ok, it tasted like beef pho but with shredded chicken. It wasn't a chicken broth. There is one guy serving us, although he was efficient, he was not welcoming or friendly. So I had to deduct one star for the chicken pho and the service. They gave a good amount of short ribs that had great flavor but were a bit salty. Da Lat doesn't provide a lot of greens like you would typically expect for a vermicelli bowl so that was disappointing - would have been nice to balance out the salty short ribs. Besides the short ribs, the the fish sauce/nuoc mam was really good so I had to save the remaining sauce to eat with my leftover rice at my next meal. Thai Green Milk Tea ($7.50) With Boba ($0.50): They didn't have Thai green milk tea so our Uber Eats delivery guy called and asked if we were okay with substituting for Thai tea. We said yes. When we received our order, we were shocked to see that they gave us the Thai tea without the non-dairy creamer. I checked their Yelp page and website, and the pictures show the Thai tea with non-dairy creamer...I think they ran out of it so they tried to make it up for it by filling the whole cup with the Thai tea part. If I had known the Thai tea doesn't come with non-dairy creamer (like it should), I would have canceled the drink order instead of substituting. Feels kinda sus that they weren't upfront about it. Anyways, the sweetened Thai tea itself wasn't bad, but the boba was kinda hard. Just get your boba fix somewhere else. Crab Meat Udon Soup - Banh Canh Cua ($22.50): They gave a generous portion of seafood but I wasn't a fan of the soup. The soup is a bit too watery and doesn't taste right. I called the restaurant immediately to let them know, and instead of receiving any apology or solution, the worker who answered was shockingly rude. No concern, no help, just attitude.
