Pho De Nhat is another Vietnamese spot with a small menu focused mainly in pho, plus a couple of bun options. The interior is pretty plain with a cafeteria-style set up. My friend and I dropped by for lunch on Friday to try this newer Viet place in the area. PHO DAC BIET - 15.99 This is their signature pho, typically the option with the most meat and variety. It's usually all beef cuts, so I was surprised to find some chicken my bowl. They don't skimp on garnish either -- it was spread across nearly the entire bowl, leaving little room for additional toppings. The broth was clean and savory without being overpowering. The noodles were on the wider side and had a nice texture. There also weren't many noodles, which made it feel like a more "lower-carb" lunch. The meats were standard, though a bit fatty overall. I could tell the meatballs were homemade since they didn't have that cookie-cutter, commercial taste or texture, but I didn't love the spices and seasonings used. Overall, the pho at Pho De Nhat is fine -- not the worst, but not exceptional. My friend ordered the bun bo hue and thought it was just okay as well. Sadly, he also wasn't a big fan of the homemade meatballs.

You can taste the subtle star anise flavor and the savory beef broth with no one flavor too overpowering. I got the pho dac biet which had rare beef, flank, and meatballs. The meatballs were excellent. They were handmade and just melted in your mouth. Most of the pho I've had in the past had firm almost rubbery meatballs but not these. Pho De Nhat is located in a shopping center on Dequindre and 11 Mile. It's surprisingly big inside and there's quite a few tables and booths. It's a family run business and the everyone working here was kind and efficient.

Wow detroit has a very good Vietnamese scene! From a city thats proud of hotdogs cover in sad sludge, and canned spaghetti slung by a rapper. This place is actually amazing! Lovely broth, wonderful flavors, just pairs perfectly with the cold weather across the canadian wilderness. While detroit is overall pretty depressing, this is one shiny spot that deserves more hype than all the other crap from the local wanna be influencers. read more

This is a brand new edition to the Madison Heights Vietnamese cuisine restaurant scene. My wife and I have been eating at all of them for the past decade or so. This new place only serves Pho, but I must say their Pho is utterly amazing. They use wide flat rice noodles instead of vermicelli noodles, their broth is amazing and their meatballs are home made and the rare beef quality is the best I've ever had. This place is 5 star all the way. If you are in the mood for Pho, I highly recommend the rare beef. I would say that this is the best Pho in Madison Heights or equal to the best. The only way someone would rate them less than 5 star is if the ratings are coming from competitors or friends of the competitors. My wife and I will be permanent customers. read more

This was my first time coming to this place because I was in the area. I really enjoy good Pho. I have to say, this is by far the best tasting Pho I've ever had. Our regular Pho place was closed for the weekend so we decided to give this place a shot... and are SO glad we did! The Pho was the best Pho we have had in a really long time. Where everyone else has been getting skimpy with ingredients and watering down their broth- this place was super generous with flavorful broth. This is now our new regular. Limited menu with only pho and bun bo Hue. Pho Dac Biet broth tasted watered down. Homemade meatballs (Bo vien) didn't taste right and for some reason my pho dac biet had chicken in it. There are better options in Madison Heights for pho including Detroit Pho Crab, Pho Que Huong and Little Saigon. read more

The service was quick and attentive, we were greeted immediately and had our food with minimal wait. This isn't slow like - just relax - you're here with friends - it's slow like - is anyone ever going to take our order, bring us a drink or bring us our food? It's pretty irritating to sit at a table with nothing on it and wait for anyone to come by and ask us what we want to drink. Then when we finally did order a drink - (waters, beers, pops & coffees), where are they and where is she? Finally she returns with drinks - disappears again. Everyone is getting mad - we just want to order some food. Once our food order is placed we wait again a lot more. The food came out in shifts - poor kitchen management? I don't know. I ordered the Southwest Eggrolls that sounded delicious, but when they finally showed up they were undercooked and awful. I was finally able to send them back and the waitress promised they'd be cooked some more. In the meantime food was slowly coming out. One of the guests meal literally came after everyone was finally done eating - not kidding. Poor guy sat there and watched all of us eat - he was a saint. Waitress kept promising it was 'almost ready'. My eggrolls came back out - still not good. I just decided not to eat them. No one was happy when we left. This is my second try here, I won't be back. Several others commented that this place is always slow - so I think they won't be back either. They just lost 10 diners.
