08/21/26. Quaint restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is phenomenal. Today we had Papaya salad with chicken. It is so light and refreshing and a great portion size. My husband had beef spring rolls. This is the 4th visit and he has gotten them every time. Fantastic flavor. This time he had a rice plate with beef and pork. I had the Bun with egg rolls. Best egg rolls in town. We have eaten at Pho Ginger 4 times in 2 weeks since we discovered it. Two times dine in and 2 times to go. All experiences are consistently delicious. Saturday. November 16, 2024. Dinner. My wife and I came here for a Vietnamese dinner. The inside is well lit and nicely decorated. They have a five-page, generous menu selection. See attached photos. The staff are attentive and checked on us regularly throughout our meal. I saw an avocado smoothie, $4.75, on the menu and couldn't resist. Usually I don't order sweeter items. This smoothie wasn't overly sweet and the avocado really stood out. The coldness paired nicely with the hot food. I order the #20, $13.95, which was the special Vermicelli patties. These were Vermicelli noodles topped with meatballs, shrimp, grilled pork and pork wrapped in bean curd skin. These were topped with green onions and ground peanuts. The meatballs stood out as the winner and I loved the al dente cooked noodles. The appetizer, 2 spring rolls, $3.75, were super fresh and stuffed to the gills with pork. Peanut dipping sauce paired nicely with this. The food came out hot and the fresh ingredients put it over the top. This meal filled us up and was really healthy. Great spot! I came here for dinner with my husband & we enjoyed our experience. When we arrived there was a bit of a wait, as a group of 6 was ahead of us. The staff were very communicative and got us seated as soon as possible. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate how they have a section that explains all menu items that fit this requirement. Fantastic service and even better food. Finding good food open past 8pm in Albuquerque is practically impossible. Except this place. We were greeted with a smile (at 8:35) and a friendly face and seated immediately. Our waiter was a very attentive and friendly guy. The appetizer of spring rolls came out super quick and really fresh. Sauce was amazing as well. The Udon with tofu was awesome as was my Shrimp Pad Thai. Ambience and location: Spacious interior, plenty of parking, nice and clean. Though some of the chairs padding is sinking a bit . 4.5/5 Staff/service: Very friendly and attentive. Their positive/bubbly attitude is better than some of the other Asian places I frequent at. 5/5 Food: Lots of options. I got their wonton app which came with 5 wontons. Special broken rice dish, a bit sad in term of portion of the toppings. Pork chop a bit dry, meat loaf is 2x smaller than other places. Salt and pepper shrimp was solid. Banh xeo, large, nice fragrant (I can smell the coconut milk), once again solid dish. Bun Bo Hue, not too bad either, was a bit confuse as to why there's 2 versions. It's a popular Vietnamese dish, why not just offer the traditional version ‍? Only thing I would recommend is STOP making every dish so overly sweet ‍. I wanted to keep eating but the sweetness was just too off putting. Fish sauce/Nuoc Mam so sweet that I can't even taste any saltiness, soups are all sweet as well (not sure if I'm eating dessert or a main dish). The taste profile of all the dishes can be elevated if you balance out with a bit more salt to make it savory "đậm đà". I understand they have soy sauce on the table, but that would change the whole taste of how the dish is supposed to be. 3/5 read more

Lunch on Saturday, December 7. We had egg rolls, papaya salad with shrimp, fried noodle with shrimp, beef, chicken, pork and coconut and mango smoothes. The vegetables on the fried noodle plate were fresh! And not just broccoli. Sometimes restaurants will load their plates with broccoli, I get it, broccoli is large and takes up a lot of space. I like broccoli but DD does not and we were sharing. (I got all the broccoli ). The egg rolls were crispy but not greasy. They weren't the best egg rolls I've ever had but they were good. They will bring lettuce and basil if you ask for it. The smoothies were delicious! The coconut tasted like fresh coconut and the mango tasted like a beautifully ripened mango. Yumm!! The bobas were chewy and large. The only dish I can't give high marks to was the papaya salad. It was bland and the shrimp didn't have much flavor even with the fish sauce and chile sauce. The decor is simple but there are big windows with a view of the Sandias. The wait staff is attentive without being intrusive. They seem sincerely friendly and pleasant. Pho-nomenal. I didn't know this place existed. Another great Yelp find for me! I stopped by and had lunch by myself and got some takeout for my wife and her colleagues. The food was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. I had the pho ginger, the restaurants' namesake. It comes with all the meats, just like a special or a combo pho, but the rare meat is half chopped to tenderize it a little more. The broth was aromatic and super flavorful, a little on the sweet side but still very delicious. It was garnished with julienned slivers of fresh ginger, so if you don't like biting into ginger, I'd advise removing it before you stir your noodles around. I got 3 more to go meals but since I didn't try them, I won't review them. What I will say is that including my to go order, I was surprised at how inexpensive Pho Ginger was. We chose the shrimp clay pot and Beef noodle soup with 1 meat choice (Pho chon 1 Thu Thit) Their space was clean, inviting, and colorful. There were no other customers when I walked in, but they have only been open for a month. When I called to place the order, the woman on the line was pleasant and helped me navigate the menu. They have an extensive menu! The aroma in the car of the way home made everyone's mouths water, and my puppy nearly jumped into the bag. We really enjoyed all the flavors of our dishes. The Pho broth itself had a depth of flavor that I've never found here in ABQ. We ordered chicken with the soup and whoa, that was very flavorful as well. The clay pot shrimp was accompanied by a lovely fluffy fried rice with egg, vegetables and sautéed shrimp. They did not add any spice for my 6 year old and she really loved it. Pho Ginger opened only a couple of weeks ago. We went in and ordered take out. The restaurant look a bright and cheerful with a colorful wall mural. The person who took our order was welcoming. The spring rolls were OK. Bland flavor. The dipping sauce did not taste of peanut at all. Just a thick mysterious brown sauce. This was the one disappointing part of the meal. The rice noodle bowls were cooked to order. The spicy lemongrass shrimp and chicken had a pleasant heat, off set by the pickled carrots and daikon. There was way too much onion so we picked half of it out. The flavor was great and the portion generous. Perhaps a little on the oily side but delish. We got the chicken noodle soup for one person in our party who wasn't feeling well. The portion was enough for two meals. Have always had really good experiences here! This is one of the my favorite restaurants in town! I used to live overseas and I love pho, so I was so excited to find this place. the staff are really helpful and friendly, they always make sure to interact with my son and are so kind to us! Even when they are busy, we have never waited more than 5 minutes for a table. Most of the tables are booths and it is always nice and clean inside. The food comes out fast and hot, so tbh what more can you ask for? If you're not sure what to try, the servers have given me really good recommendations as well. I normally get the pho because I'm a creature of habit but my boyfriend and son have tried a lot of the noodle dishes. The clay pot was one of the best meals we'd ever had here!
