I had such a great experience at this pho spot in NY. The restaurant itself is beautiful, very clean, and has a really welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The food was absolutely amazing. The pho was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly balanced -- definitely some of the best pho I've had. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. Our server, Cristina, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel genuinely taken care of the whole time. She checked in at the right moments and had such a warm and friendly attitude. Between the delicious food, the great atmosphere, and Cristina's excellent service, this place really stood out. There are a few Pho Grand restaurants floating around NYC and this one in Flushing on Northern Blvd is the latest. Mekong at the end of the strip closed a while ago, so a new Vietnamese place fits right in. They spent a good amount for the interior décor in light wood tones and it looks nice. With all the new and popular businesses in this HMart strip mall, the parking situation in this lot is cutthroat with everybody jockeying to get a space at all hours, but even worse at meal times. For new Vietnamese restaurants, I always have to compare their biggest beef pho bowl, the Locomotive 火車頭. Why it's called that, I'm not sure, but most places call it that. The broth comes hot and flavorful with plenty of Brisket, Tripe, Tendon & Eye Round slices and though not the biggest or best, but pretty decent. Garnish with plenty of bean sprouts, basil and jalapeño slices while the broth is hot. The thin rice noodles are just the right consistency, too. I like to mix a dipping sauce for the beef with the hot sauce & hoisin sauce on the table. My son goes for the Grilled Pork w/ Vermicelli Blankets because not all Vietnamese restaurants have it on their menus. He likes to wrap the grilled sliced marinated pork in the vermicelli blankets and dip them in the fish sauce. It also comes on a bed of greens. My wife had ordered the Grilled Beef on Rice Vermicelli, which is sliced, but what she really wanted was the Marinated Cubed Beef and that comes over rice. To round out the meal, we also had a plate of Stir-fried Baby Bok Choy and it was really tasty with plenty of sliced garlic. So next time we'll have to try again, but we'll order a la carte family style. I want to try the Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chops, Salt & Pepper Squid, Stir-fried Water Spinach and maybe throw in some Shrimp Summer Rolls and Fried Spring Rolls. Apparently, this Pho Grand also has a separate buffet takeout counter that you can select 4 dishes over rice & a soup for a flat rate, which is great for a grab & go lunch. read more

One of their several locations in Queens, this one shares a parking lot in a strip mall. There were many parking spots available on a weekday evening. There was a decent amount of parking on the streets as well, both metered and residential. The service is friendly and efficient. We made a reservation day of, but did not need it. They did have our table reserved and set up for us. There is a good amount of tables, well spread out. The Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop on Rice (#R2) was very tender. Flavor wise it was on the salty side, but balanced by the cucumbers and tomatoes. It could use more lemongrass flavor. The fish sauce added a pop of flavor. Oddly enough, the cucumbers were only partially cut, so I had to cut it up. Decent portion size as I was full! A few of my friends got the Big Bowl Pho (#1). It definitely is a big bowl! Make sure you're hungry or split it with someone else, along with an appetizer or something. I will have to try this the next time I come. The Thai Tea was pretty good. Not too sweet. My first time at this pho grand location. Picked up for takeout and it was reliable as usual. This location had the pork chop with crab patti and shredded pork which tasted pretty good. The number 3 pho was tasty as well. We also ordered the crispy spring rolls and shrimp summer rolls which were good appetizers. I met a friend for lunch. The restaurant had plenty of seating inside on this chilly day. The lady lead us to our seats and gave us some menus as well as tea. I ordered pho with a crab patty. It was a very big bowl. The bowl of noodle soup was exactly what I wanted. The soup was warming, there was plenty of noodles and meat. Came for a Saturday night for my dads birthday. We booked a reservation for 6 people and the restaurant is BEAUTIFUL!! Super cute decor and the tables are cute. We ordered and the food came out super quick and on the cutest plates too. The food tasted amazing. We got the calamari and it was nice and crispy with a yummy sweet chili sauce. Mom discovered this place a few months ago, and we've been coming here regularly! Never had a bad experience here. The inside of the restaurant is roomy and ambient and servers are always attentive. We usually order the Vietnamese spring rolls, pho, and curry squid over rice. It's always tasty, although, sometimes the beef in the pho can be a little overcooked. Spring rolls are perfectly crispy and flavorful. Have had the chicken fried rice as well, but wasn't super impressed, as it was quite bland. We picked up the Beef Ball Pho ($13.95), Fresh Eye of Round ($13.95), and Shrimp Summer Roll ($7.95). Overall, I think the portion size is good, and they give a good amount of meat. I ordered some of my favorites: * shrimp summer roll - good amount of shrimp and and the peanut sauce was nice and thick too which I love * lemongrass chicken - I did not enjoy this dish. The chicken slices were tough and dry and they tasted like they were all boiled and then added to a wok for a minute with some sauce and then served. The chicken really had no flavor. * beef cube over rice - this was so-so. This was not very flavorful either. Newish Viet restaurant on Northern. We've been twice and it's solid. My favorite thing to get is the thin noodles with shrimp where you basically use it for lettuce wraps. The vegetables it comes with is really fresh. The pho is good and gets any pho craving you have satisfied but it's not the best pho I've ever had. Came here with my coworkers. Being Vietnamese myself, I had high expectations for the food. Customer service was excellent and the décor is very nice. The food, however, leans more toward Chinese flavors than Vietnamese. The shaking beef cubes were tasty, but the rest of the dishes lacked seasoning. The noodles were too bland, and I could still feel grains in the vegetables (water spinach and lettuce), which made me think they weren't washed thoroughly. The pho is pretty disappointing, the broth is not very rich or flavorful. It's quite watery. I think it's just mid tier pho - not the absolute worst but I've definitely had better. Pho was pretty generous portions and surprisingly tasty. I really came in with little expectations. The broth was clean but a bit sweet? The Grand opening is going on as we speak. The place is tastefully decorated with a large wooden carving of the name of the place in Chinese and English on one wall and pictures of pho on the other wall. Even a neon sign on another wall. Overall light and airy feeling. Small tables of 4 throughout the store but they are able to push tables together for larger groups. The new wait staff was a little disorganized but eager to please. The menu here is similar to the bayside store but appears to have more selections. Even though I'd just said we just sat down other than that a pretty solid spot. This is my first time going to this restaurant, and I really enjoyed the food. All of the meats had very good flavor, and I liked the variety on the menu. My sisters and I love eating at all the Pho places in Queens and we had the chance to go the new one in Flushing tonight, Pho Grand. We started with the large order of spring rolls and then we ordered the traditional pork chop and rice, chicken and rice and beef over vermicelli. Fish sauce was served with every dish and there a plenty of it. Didn't need to ask for more. The spring rolls were a decent size and crispy and hot. Chicken and pork chops were tasty and the beef with the fresh raw veggies was so nice and light. We were pleased with the flavors, portion size but we were pleasantly surprised that a dinner out cost about $55 not including tip. The staff is friendly and attentive. And now that we tasted the standard fare, we will go back for the other dishes and in the fall we will try their pho noodle soups. read more
