I am fairly new to eating pho and let me tell you, I loved Pho So 1. I know they have a few locations throughout the valley but this one really hit the spot. Ordered takeout and it service was good and quick. I had some modifications and they handled it with ease. The broth was super tasty. Given it was takeout they did not skimp on anything, enough meat and noodles for me. Big restaurant with plenty of people enjoying themselves inside. I definitely will come back and probably dine in this time!
Followed my nose and dragged hub and the kiddo with me! The inside is loud with the sound of happy munching, tables being cleaned, orders being taken, and a steady stream of folks coming in and out. We snagged a table right away during a weekend lunch, which was great because we were hangry af after hitting up the Northridge mall. Parking: huge free parking lot for the win. Service: quick and to the point. You seat yourself, they take your order at your table and bus your meal to you (SUPER FAST), and you can grab to go containers if you have leftovers you want to pack up. You also pay up front before you exit. No amex or discover. Food: some hits and some misses, but I think the misses were our fault - shoulda guessed this was more about the soup than other stuff by looking at neighboring tables. Shrimp pho - generous portion, delicious broth, fresh toppings. Loved it! Porridge with chicken - same as above, and got the kiddo seal of approval! Yummy Chinese donut on the side too! Spring roll w/ shrimp - the shrimp is ground and fried, and just turns into a thick, difficult to chew consistency that was not as appetizing as fresh. Would not get this version again. Tofu w/ veggies - kind of boring sauce, veggies barely hit the wok so still pretty raw. The rice is what was really sad - really off texture, maybe sat in the rice cooker too long. Leftovers are going straight to the chickens on this one. Vietnamese iced coffee - always slaps, 10/10. Price is very reasonable, all of the above for about $65 minus tip. Stuffed my face and still came home with a ton of leftovers. Really good vibes here, would definitely come back to satisfy the noodle soup cravings and get another viet coffee to go.
It may be pushing 90°F in the SFV, but that didn't stop me from checking out Pho So 1's newest Granada Hills branch. I ordered the #1 Pho, #85, and a Thai iced tea. The pho? Delicious--super flavorful on its own, no need to drown it in extra sauces or seasonings. Tummy = happy! The egg roll though... not so much. It wasn't crispy, and had a slight sour note (even before dipping into the fish sauce). Kinda made me wonder if it was from an older batch? The restaurant itself is spacious with lots of tables, located in a mall lot (plenty of parking). They accept Apple Pay, which is always a plus, and service was friendly and attentive. Overall: pho , service , egg roll . I'll be back for the soup, not the rolls.
As always, everything is very delicious and made with love. I visit this place several times a week I guess that's the best sign of a great establishment
*Delayed post from May '25 Came here for some comfort food and left very satisfied! Our party of 2 waited about 20 minutes for a table to open up around 8pm on a Sunday as it was packed, with large parties waiting both in and outside the restaurant. Our server was short with us, not very hospitable, and we had to ask for things multiple times, but the food was so good I honestly don't think the service is a deal breaker for going here. The atmosphere is very family oriented too, with long tables and large, shareable portions for everyone to get a little bit of everything. We ordered the Cha Gio (Fried Egg Rolls), which came out burning hot and were crispy, well stuffed, and had a fantastic savory flavor. Wrap the lettuce and vegetables around a roll and dip it in the fish sauce for a great combination of flavors, textures, and temperatures. We also ordered the Pho with Beef Flank and Brisket. The broth was full of umami flavor and the beef was tender, falling apart as we scooped it up into a second bowl for sharing. I suggest ordering additional vegetables on the side to load up on the fresh ingredients for a balanced bite.

Was in the area searching for places to eat. This had great reviews so we decided to come here! So glad we did! We were welcomed to sit anywhere we'd like. Lots of seating and it was pretty clean. Food came out pretty quick considering they had a few big tables to serve aswell. I'd definitely come back here when I'm in the area again. Food was flavorful, hot, and hit the spot! Only complaint was my soda chanh was missing sugar.
I love this location! From the minute you walk in, you're greeted and if a table is ready, seated right away. The server hands you menus and takes your drink order. When the server comes back with your drinks, you'll be asked if you're ready to place your order. The food cones out within minutes! The broth is just the right temperature and tasty, as always! It's a great place to share a meal and have a conversation. It's not too loud but does tend to get pretty busy. This does not affect the great customer service that's provided here. Stop by if you're near and craving a great bowl of pho.
6/16/2025: Another fantastic dinner tonight with a party of 6 and I totally forgot to take pics! We enjoyed 3 orders of Cha Gio egg rolls with rice papers and the water dipping tray on the side for extra rolling goodness. We had com dishes, bun thit nuong, pork chop platters.. everything was so delicious! Dan and Sidney took excellent care of us.. they were so attentive, friendly and welcoming! The staff at this location are all fantastic! Since I failed to take pics of the food on our table, I'll share a peek at my leftover Bun Thit Nuong that I enjoyed for lunch the next day. I'm ready to go back already!

Pho So 1 is definitely one of my favorite go-to spots in the Valley whenever I'm craving something comforting and satisfying. On this visit, I ordered one of their rice plates along with fresh rolls, and both were served hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions are generous and the quality is consistently good, which keeps me coming back. Service is quick and efficient, the space is casual and welcoming, and the price point for what you get is always worth it. A solid, reliable choice in the Valley for Vietnamese comfort food.
Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by serious lapses in food handling and professionalism. Not once--but twice--there was dirty lettuce on the egg roll plate. When I respectfully brought this to the attention of the employee, the response was dismissive: a shoulder shrug, followed by walking away. Moments later, the same employee was standing in clear view in the back, laughing with another staff member instead of addressing the issue. While I can appreciate a flavorful broth and moments of good execution, standards matter--especially behind the scenes. There is always a backstory to restaurants and kitchens, and this was mine. What happens out of sight of customers is just as important as what arrives at the table. Cleanliness, accountability, and respect should never be optional.
I had such a wonderful time here today while grabbing lunch. I been to their new location on Chatsworth which isn't the same like this one so this is my go to location. Since I came right when they open, they were not busy. When I walked inside, I just told the gentleman it was only me so he told me I could pick anywhere I wanted to sit at. I chose table 1 and already knew what I wanted. I got the #1 combination pho plate and order the chicken pho to go for my wife. My pho came out quick and it was delicious. There was a good portion of meat and noodles so I believe I got my money worth. I don't really drink the broth so after I finish everything else, I went to pay at the front. Visiting the Valley and with all the rain, pho seemed like a good choice. My family recommended Pho So 1. Their broth has a great beefy flavor while not saturated with msg. Some pho places put in hand fulls of msg that leave you dehydrated after. Service is good. They are really fast. What sucks is that pho used to be that really affordable food, but its price is now on par with ramen.... The inside is modern and clean. Probably cleaner than most pho places I've been to. read more

I was in the area and it was raining lucky for me I saw this place. Looked good from outside. It was my lucky day because it sure was good and deserving. Seating was quick as it was getting busier by the minute. Always seems like we all flock to our nearest Pho or Shabuya place when it rains. Sat down , ordered almost on the spot Lol Rare steak Pho #16 and the Crunchy Rolls. Easy Peasy. Rolls came first and immediately after the Pho. Rolls were super crunchy and tasty lettuce fresh and veggies were delightful. Pho is huge! Definitely to be shared! As soon as you walk in you smell that PHO! Very modern open space. Open seating if you're dinning in. The staff is friendly and very attentive. We order the Cha Gio for an appetizer and (very crispy and delicious) the # 12 and Banh Canh Gio Heo Tom Cua. I really enjoyed the thicker noodles that came with the Tom Cua! We will definitely return to try other things on the menu. They have a huge selection and very decent pricing. So happy there is a new pho place in town! read more
This is definitely one of my favorite places to come to. I enjoy all the different options of but my favorite is the number five large with extra peppers. However, the spring rolls are a must have item for me as well, but after eating so much I have to have a cafe sua da or iced coffee it's delicious I recommend spending at least an hour, lol the portions are amazing read more

I tried this location out today and it's so neat inside. Service was great and decoration was inviting . I would've given it 5 stars but the egg rolls weren't fire here. #3 was good though. I would come here again cause it's very clean and closer to me. read more
Beautiful establishment. They have air conditioning while you eat your pho and food. Food was delicious. Service was amazing. Only thing I thought was okay was the broth. I've had better broth before. But it was still good. Portion sizes are great. Price is great. Bathrooms are clean! Def would come back here! read more

This is my go to pho place the fried egg rolls are the best with the sauce they provide . Pho broth is so tasty and the staff are always nice to us when we walk in . Once we leave to pay upfront they always ask how everything was to ensure we enjoyed it all plus the service . It's a nice space great for groups or even just a date or solo eats . As always will come back again eve if it's just for egg rolls . I get the #1 since it has it all . Po boy sandwiches are always a hit too thank you pho so 1 ! read more

I almost wanted to be mean and gatekeep because I didnt want other to enjoy my favorite little gem LOL I come here once a week, the food and staff is really great. Only complaint would be is that i wish they were open to 10 at least. All around 5 star! Pho is phenomenal and the rice is *chefs kiss* food always comes out so fast and always pipin hot. Pho So 1 is hands down one of our go-to comfort spots in the Valley--it never disappoints! Even though it was busy when we visited, we were seated immediately. We ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Honeydew Smoothie with Boba, Com Suon Nuong Trung Op La, Banh Canh Tom, and Tai Chin, and everything was absolutely delicious! The Vietnamese coffee was perfectly strong (just the way we like it), and the boba in the smoothie was spot on. The main dishes were packed with flavor, as always. The charbroiled pork chop, in particular, was bursting with savory goodness. Service here is impressively quick, and the staff is always kind and welcoming. Pho So 1 has earned a permanent spot on our favorites list. We'll keep coming back for the consistently amazing food and great service! read more
Some of the best pho I've ever had filled with plenty of meat, noodles, etc. and definitely the Cha Gio appetizer gets the title of the best egg rolls I've ever had. Coupled with the friendly staff, quiet atmosphere, reasonable prices and plenty of Menu selections, this is easily a 5 star establishment. I definitely recommend checking this restaurant if you are considering this place to eat at. read more

Great place to come eat pho, spring rolls, banh mi sandwiches, boba and Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee. The restaurant is pretty large open concept which allows for big groups to come in. The team is super welcoming and happy to talk to you and explain what's on the menu. Definitely will be coming back again and again read more
It's nice to have Pho So 1 in Granada Hills, I used to go to the one in Simi Valley or Van Nuys. The restaurant is located in a huge strip mall with plenty of parking. Interior is pretty big and clean. The fried eggrolls and pho noodle soup came really quick. We ordered 2 bowls of #1 house special pho and they gave very little bean sprouts. There were 5 eggrolls per order, it came with lettuce wrap, carrots, Daikon, cucumber and fish sauce. The eggrolls were really good. I would definitely order these again. On the other hand, the beef pho was disappointing. The broth was very bland but I like how the soup is not oily. The noodles were so fragile that it breaks everytime I pick up the noodles. It's a diff type of noodles they use, I'm not a fan of this noodle texture. read more
Pho So 1 has been my go to spot for Pho. It was first introduced to me in 2019 (at the Reseda location) and it has been one of my comfort foods since. As soon as we go in, we are seated right away and water is served meanwhile we browse the menu. The food is also served very quickly. It has a very nice, comfortable feel to the restaurant, makes it feel like home. Recommendations: I love to add everything to my Pho (except jalapeños ) but the basil, bean sprouts, sriracha sauce, and hoisin sauce give the broth such a good flavor. Their iced coffee will WAKE YOU UP. It's so good! Spring rolls are very good as well as the egg rolls. Most recently, I tried their donut and it was very good as well. Can't wait to go back again. read more
