This used to be my favorite pho place. I'd have to say its #2 on my list now. The broth wasnt as flavorful as the broth at pho rowland. I added 3 limes until i felt it had flavor. This is one of my favorite Pho Ha restaurants in town. Situated in the AAA Shopping Center in Diamond Bar, it is truly a little hidden gem. I stuck to their Combo Pho Ha soup. It is priced at $9 and what a deal it was! LARGE bowl. Yum! They bring you a nice serving of all the condiments which includes sprouts, mint leaves, sliced jalapeños and some lime. On the table itself you will find yourself a carousel that has additional flavor enhancers, chopsticks and spoons. They also bring you a small BOBA drink with your food order. Overall I was very happy with the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. I will be going back for more! You won't be disappointed! read more

Dude. Pho for $4.99? SO DOWN. I only knew of one other pho place for $5 and that was in LA. How nice that I've found one in DB, whoopee! I may have tried it and thought to myself before that it was.... lacking. but since it was one of the only places here that opened late and I was famished, we gave it a shot. It turns out that the food was not as bad as I was expecting. Not great, but I'm happy it wasn't bad. We got a free boba cup as well. Perhaps since we ordered only one bowl and shared, they decided to give one cup to us instead of two. Just a thought. Is it crazy to eat pho in 90 degree weather? Nah. The place is clean and nice and cool. A little dark, and I like that. I'm not too crazy about their soup here, which is the most important part about pho. It was a little sour and made the pho a bit unpleasant. Their Large portions are really big though and they give a lot of soup. Had an eggroll and it was good. Crispy and hot and the good flavors. They gave us complimentary boba milk tea and it's really good. Not too sweet, good strong tea flavor, and the boba is a good chewy texture. Made me almost buy a cup, but the pho and eggroll made me really full. The employees are so nice, diligent, and polite. Overall they made the lunch pleasant. I've only had their pho here, which there are better places for that. But I'm sure their other entrees might be good. Will have to come back to try those instead. read more

I am from the San Jose where we have a HUGE Vietnamese community. I grew up on Pho, live for pho, and this place is not pho! This place is owned by Koreans, and although I accept the fact that other ethnicity open up restaurants from different groups (and some are very good) I believe there is something to making pho. It is just not about pouring broth over noodles which I believe this is what they do at Pho Hana. It takes time to prefect the broth just like sushi rice. The noodles were clumped together and the meat was few. If you really want good pho travel a little further away my Diamond Bar friends, don't fall for the free boba drink, or better yet make a trip to Westminster! read more

I've only been here once. I ordered the chicken pho and it was very very good. I think the reason why I liked it so much is because the broth had a slight tang to it, like there was lime/lemon juice added to it. The chicken was incredibly moist and easy to chew, plus lots of dark meat, my fave! Noodles were really good. The portion was just right. The place is interesting because it feels very intimate but it also has a fast-food feel to it too (due to the wall-sized posters of the various meals offered). Each table has its own utensils and condiments which is good. Service was extremely fast. However, the waiter was quiet and very surly. I believe this is a Korean owned (or at least influenced) pho restaurant. The pho was amazing but the Korean curry looked like a defrosted frozen dinner. There was sparse meat, a few potatoes and ginormous chunks of carrots over a bed of rice. Very unappealing. Pho Hana is a couple of stores away from Cherry on Top. So that's an incentive to go. My only gripe with this place is the fact that there is only ONE restroom for both men and women. So, if you really have to go, you can hang out in the hallway. However, because there is only one restroom, there is always a person coming by to make sure all the necessities are stacked and the place is clean and approachable. read more

I usually come here when I'm craving Pho. Honestly, I can't really tell a drastic difference between the millions of pho restaurants out there so I just assume every place tastes the same. However, there are a lot of crappy pho restaurants out there but this isn't one of them. Good, quick service! For the noodle soups, they have 3 sizes: small ($4.99), medium ($5.99) and large ($6.99). I can eat a lot and a medium is pretty filling and delicious. Their egg rolls are really good as well. They also give you a small cup of tapioca milk tea for free which is cool. Beyond that, I haven't tried anything else on their menu but I'm sure it is good! Prices are cheaper than most pho restaurants and they keep the place clean. Love this place! Been going there for 5 years. Love the Bobba and Vietnamese drip cold coffee. Affordable on a daily basis. Pho broth is not overwhelming as pho should be. Learn to season pho to your taste and you will enjoy the pho experience every time. Ingredients are on par. This is NOT the best Pho spot. However, the pho here is excellent. If you have ever had Pho its not a very complicated endeavor- some rice noodles, seasoned broth and meat plus garnishes. It actually sounds easy enough but the quality of the components makes up the whole.The meat quality here was really good and taste of the broth was spot on. The garnishes were plentiful, price was reasonable and the meal came with a little glass of boba, which was a nice touch. BUT the spring rolls and egg rolls were sub par. The menu is not very extensive, and although the staff is very courteous and attentive the place lacks...je ne sais quoi I was in town visiting a friend, so it is incredibly unlikely that I will ever come here again. We shop at H-mart and so I've crossed this place dozens of times. I've never gone in because my experiences with Korean pho places left much to be desired; and, their outdated window dressing didn't seem very inviting to me. However, since my Korean wife was craving pho last night, we decided to take the plunge and check it out. I'm happy that we did. The interior space is much more inviting and cozy than the front of the store suggests. Plus they were playing a mixed tape of 80's pop hits: music to the ears of this Gen X'er. We ordered the spring roll/egg roll combo, the chicken pho and the seafood pho. The spring roll was ok; you could definitely taste the shrimp but the overall impact was pretty ho hum. The egg roll was more chinese than Vietnamese: filled with vegetables. Not necessarily a bad thing but the roll was not fried through, so the interior parts of the rice wrap was soft. That is bad. The 3 stars are for the pho. Pretty darned good. The noodles were perfect. The broth had some substance and was not at all greasy. The perfume of sweet spices was right on. Initially, I thought the broth a bit too salty, but the addition of lime and siracha made for a good balance. Like almost every other place I've ever been to (excepting the best pho in So Cal: Pho Bolsa), I believe the chicken in the chicken pho was used to make the stock. This renders the chicken all but flavorless and with a bit of rubbery texture. Not good--but it's hard to blame a resto for doing what its competition is doing. In the end, I think this pho is as good if not better than the other options in Diamond Bar and Chino Hills. Not exactly the highest praise, but I know that I'll be going here from now on if I'm staying in the area. Service was good and friendly. read more

I love the pho here - I usually get the vegetable pho or the plain pho. Great prices, pretty cheap. And you always get a free small cup of milk tea. The milk tea is my favorite milk tea I've ever had, absolutely delicious. The service is good & the food is brought out pretty quickly! I have tried the tofu pho, and while it is good, I didn't like that the tofu comes fried as I really like plain tofu in my pho, not fried. That is my only disappoint with this place! read more

Pros: High score beef bone soup, free ice boba tea in a small cup will be served about 10 minutes into your meal. They still want you to order drinks so they don't tell you about the complimentary boba. Ordering the Extra Large Pho for about $6+$2 is a very good deal. I eat a lot of pho and I usually order this extra large and it hits the spot just right for me and my wif. This order saves us some money because it's a better value. The pho here is just okay. I prefer another place, but for some reason, my parents like coming here. The broth isn't too good but the noodles are alright. It is cool that they give free boba. However, they usually bring it out when you're in the middle of your meal, and by the time you get to the boba, it's very soggy and too soft. Honestly, all pho at pho places taste the same to me. Unless you can clearly taste something is off like somehow sour or something, then all pho tastes the same to me. With that, i base this review on everything else about my dinner. The fact that this is a Korean place surprised me and I was expecting some weird variation on the pho but it was good. They could of added more meat in the soup though. The meat was in very small peices but was good nonetheless. Complimentary with the order was a small cup of milktea with boba. Really good milk tea. I came here with my dad yesterday for lunch. I ordered the combination vermicelli (pork, beef, shrimp, and egg roll) and my dad had the seafood noodle soup. We also shared a combo spring roll and fried egg roll appetizer. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food, you will be disappointed. The peanut dipping sauce for the shrimp spring roll was lacking flavor. The seafood noodle soup had a few pieces of shrimp and cuttle fish. The vermicelli combination was "eh" and their nuoc mam doesn't taste like it has the right ratio of sugar, fish sauce, water and lemon/acid. Unfortunately, we didn't finish our food and my dad, who is pretty much a Vietnamese food connoisseur, said it was disappointing and he won't be back. I heart heart heart Pho Hana. Best pho restaurant out of the tons of Korean pho and authentic pho restaurants I've been to in the US, Vietnam, and Korea. Broth is clear and not oily, but flavorful. Noodle is perfectly al dente every time. They don't recycle the veggies like too many places do! Clean restaurant. Friendly and fast dining experience. Once or twice a week, it is so worth passing many other pho restaurants to trek over to Pho Hana. I leave so satisfied and soon crave it again. Rolled up in this joint b/c H-mart was packed like no other and soon as I walked in, it looked like everyone and their momma was there. Ordered the large Pho Tai, and the portion was small as junk. Looked like they just threw in more noodles but gave me the same amount of meat as a small. The broth was ehhh sub par and like I said the meat portion was meager, especially for a large. The rolls were alright, but the peanut sauce was nasty, it was too thick or something. Service was whatever, but I understand since it was crazy busy. Pho Hana is a great restaurant to go to if you just want something super quick. The pho here however is anything but authentic or delicious. They give little meat in each bowl of pho and the broth seems to be drowned in msg. As many reviews here have already stated, the restaurant is indeed owned by a Korean couple...and thus I guess that's why the pho here is so bad. :\ I rate a 3 instead of a 2 or even a 1 because I've had many good memories here. read more
