    01. Fried Egg Roll (2 Rolls) / Chả Giò (2 Rolls)
    Alexus N.

For the area it's in, I don't hate it! I usually enjoy pho places in Chinatown or Katy Asian Town. This place is convenient and close to home, so I decided to try it. There's spacious seating and the menu has quite the options from classic appetizers to pho, rice, vermicelli and other specials. The eggrolls are piping hot and crispy! The pho- aromatic, and packed with protein. The eyeround steak was a bit chewy though. Otherwise, the fatty brisket and meatballs were on point. Service was average. I'd definitely come back to try the other menu items.

My mom and I have been coming here for years. We love the chicken pho and egg rolls. The best comfort food and the flavor is so good. The portion sizes are huge and for a good price. Service is always great. It's casual dining seat yourself kinda deal and you pay at the counter, they bring the food to you. I brought some friends this time and they really enjoyed their dishes as well. I've tried other pho places and they are good but I just keep coming back to this place, something about the broth flavor.

We wanted to give this spot a try after Sunday service. We were greeted immediately and the service was great. We ordered pho, pork fried rice, and chargrilled pork & egg roll vermicelli. Everything came out delicious, and yes... we eat pho regularly on Bellaire! It's authentic as it gets. This is a gem for Spring Branch.

Trying some Houston pho. Flavorful broth with sate and peanuts. House chili oil smells of lemongrass
    Luke F.

This place was a staple for my Houston sister and brother-in-law, and I can see why. My foremost criteria for pho spot is the fragrant, beefy taste in a long-simmered pho broth. But here I encountered a special sate broth, and will comment on that. - Comment 1: their chili oil is fragrant of lemongrass and other spices. Fantastic - Comment 2: 10A pho sate is quite special. Sate is a spicy sauce with garlic, chilis, and fish sauce. These flavorings complimented a delicious pho broth perfectly, and I savored every bite. Strip mall type setting, ease of parking, clean and pleasant on the inside (smells like delicious food), staff are nice.

So good!! Reliable viet spot with good food and good prices. The staff are nice and the restaurant is cozy. The pho chin was super good and the broth was very flavorful. Can go wrong with any of their pho's

Good pho and flavorful dishes. This place has been around for a long time, and the food is consistently solid. We did have to ask for a few items that didn't arrive with our order, but overall it's a good value for the money.

I've lived in Spring Branch over 10 years and would come here frequently in mid 2000s with no issues great food and clean, until today. As I was paying at register there was a female worker who I saw cough multiple times directly on what I call the prep sprouts lime fixings pregame plate for pho, behind the cashier. she looks back at me and proceeds to continue to cough more on at least 2 plates wtf. I told the cashier that's concerning and you're ok with that? She ignored me and gave me my receipt. Wow. As I was walking away I can still hear that same lady coughing everywhere, never going back here again So if you want extra invisible organic "spices" at this joint have at it but hell to the naw for me and my family. Vietnamese style shaking beef and Charcoal grilled Chicken with vermicelli rice
    Merlyn M.

This has become one of our go to spots for take out when wanting quick and good Vietnamese food whether it's rice or noodles! Our go to Chicken dish is the charcoal grilled chicken with vermicelli rice, though I do wish they gave more chicken and less rice because it's soooo good! Comes with side salad and a crunchy egg roll with fish sauce. The shaking beef rice was also very delish! The meats are well cooked, and savory all the flavors are there and it hits the spot! I definitely recommend checking out this place and the variety of foods they have to offer. It seems like they are mostly popular for their pho and noodle dishes which we have yet to try!

Large Pho Tai Nam Gau and Cafe Sua Da
    Allison K.

Lots of seating in the restaurant so even when it was busy, my boyfriend and I were still able to get a table right away and order. We got the large Pho Tai Nam Gau (eye round steak, well done flank, and brisket) and it came out within 3 minutes after we placed our order so that was super nice. The pho was good overall! I've tasted better soup broths at other places but I still thoroughly enjoyed the dish. The star of the show was their Banh Mi though. We got the Banh Mi Thit Nuong (charcoal grilled pork). The french bread was crispy on the outside and soft which made the sandwich much easier to eat. I've had Bahn Mi's in the past where the bread is so hard to bite through that it's a whole jaw workout lol- but thankfully this spot doens't have that problem. But the pork was flavorful and had that perfectly grilled charcoal taste that made the taste amazing. And with the pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapeno, and mayo, this sandwhich is a must get if you come. And to top it all off, we got their Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese coffee) and I enjoyed every sip! This is a nice spot to eat if you're in the Gessner area and craving Vietnamese food! I can't wait to come back and try their other dishes.

This spot is one of my tried-and-true havens for Vietnamese pho. It's fast, bursting with flavor, and consistently hits the mark. I've always maintained that a truly great pho starts and ends with the broth--it's the soul of the dish. Here, the broth delivers, rich and deeply satisfying, making this place a staple on my list of go-tos. When you're craving something that warms the bones and fills the soul, you just can't go wrong here.

Com tam thit nuong. Grilled pork rice plate. Traditional, reliable, simple. Solid lunch plate.
    Long T.

Solid decent lunch plate. Had the com tam thit nuong, a simple traditional grilled pork rice plate, and it hit the spot. Also, I grabbed a thai tea and a banh mi to go. Pretty steady casual lunch crowd. If I lived in the area, this would be a decent regular spot.

Are pho orders packed in disposal bowls?

The Pho is packed with seperate noodles, seperate broth, and seperate condiments. The noodles come in a "disposable" foam container. All of the other stuff is in little, plastic containers.

Unfortunately, they don't have challah (egg bread) - just bagels and rye. A big miss from my perspective. The reason for 4 stars is that the prices are crazy high. Plan on spending a fortune. Upon arriving, every table was taken except our table w a reserved sign on it. The restaurant was bustling, but I could still hear my husband over the music and noise. The menu is huge!!! I didn't know where to start. But our server, Vanessa, helped us make a few choices. We started off w bánh xèo tostadas, bánh béo, & carpaccio. Then we had calamari and their steak special. I asked for a side of papaya slaw for some veggies. My favorite dish of the night was the carpaccio. So many flavors perfectly melded together. Loved the crunch of the fried onions and peanuts. 10/10 dish, in my opinion. Authentic banh xèo usually has an airier, crisp crepe, but theirs was more crunchy - great for their tostada take. Very flavorful. Each piece had one shrimp, but plenty of pork belly bites. The nuoc mam drizzled on it was tasty. Fried calamari - this is a big dish for, I believe, $'19. I prefer the dipping sauce on the side so that the batter doesn't get soggy. This did happen here, but it didn't stop us from finishing every last bite. The green sauce was good, not the usual dipping sauce for fried calamari. Steak special - they have another steak dish on their menu, but this one was pepper crusted w smashed potatoes. The potatoes were super crispy and flavorful and the steak was perfectly cooked - a beautiful pink medium rare. The portion was huge and justified the $39 price point. The staple steak dish came with a papaya slaw and I had to have it. It was bright and limey - I can see why they serve it with their steak. Bánh beo - my least favorite of the night. A bit thicker than I like. Still good, but there were a lot of other great dishes that I could easily pass on this one. Try their hibiscus artichoke tea.

Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.
