Wow, I was totally not impressed with my visit today. Here's what I noticed that went wrong: 1) Employees were cleaning the tables and did not wash their hands upon arriving behind the front counter 2) The same employee touched my food and my bag and could've possibly been contaminated 3) The BOGO offer I brought up to the cashier and they said it was "chicken only". I later found out on social media it was for Chicken, Pork or Tofu. I could've tried something else! 4) Bird poop and other unwanted specimens were found on the outdoor patio/furniture that I couldn't bring my pet to dine outside. 5) I asked for 4 Chicken Banh Mi's, all with NO mayonaise... and I got mayonaise on EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Horrible! 6) They are very slow... there was little to nobody there when we ordered our items to-go... like what is taking so long? I really am having my doubts about this place... read more

First visit - a great, convenient addition to the area for fast casual Vietnamese food. Parking was readily available and a drive thru adds to the convenience of picking up lunch or dinner. The interior is cute and the layout is good. We ordered a vermicelli bowl with grilled pork, a crispy tofu salad and fried egg rolls. Alba greeted us, took our order and was very friendly. She was very energetic, as she worked the counter, drive thru, delivered our order to the table and helped with orders. When it slowed down, she cleared and cleaned tables. What a great employee! Our food was well prepared and tasty. Since this is a fast casual spot, I noticed all ingredients were cut very uniformly, which is not common at most pho spots. I had put off trying this restaurant for years now, and I finally had the opportunity to swing by. They have a couple locations, but I just so happened to be in Spring Branch and thought I'd give them a try Even from the exterior this place looks trendy and inviting. There is parking, it's not a huge parking lot, but it should accommodate all the seating inside The interior is pristine and everything has its place. The interior is also very trendy. The menu is clearly posted above the order counter. They have quite a variety of classic/popular Vietnamese dishes (pho, banh mi, vermicelli bowls, spring rolls, wings, etc The staff were very friendly and professional. We ordered at the counter and they brought our meal to us in a timely manner Everything tasted delicious. The flavors were on point, the portions were hearty, and the plating/appearance were appealing. We did notice that the menu described the banh mi as being served on a crispy bun, and the baguette/hoagie roll was delicious, but it definitely wasn't crispy. It could have just been the day Some tips: They have sriracha if you want/need it... and for me, I always need it (love it). I had some friends visit soon after this locations opening, and they had an event coming in, and they offered my friends some extra food and actually gave them a gift card because my friends mentioned they were getting married soon. We were across street at Decoy when we started craving something sweet so we decided to walk here for some boba. We ordered the this tea and the passionfruit tea. Apparently at this location they do not add any boba to their drinks even though they the reviews/photos show otherwise. Also, the drinks ARE NOT freshly made. The employee brought out a jar of each flavor and poured each one in our cup right in front of us. Flavor was extremely bland. Regret paying $11 for them! read more

I went to Saigon Hustle when craving some late night pho and was happy to see the were still open around 9:40. I ordered the chicken pho option. They don't have too many options just beef mix and chicken I believe. The pho came out pretty quick which was good and a hefty size. I do feel like I had to dress it up a lot with sirracha and hoisin sauce to enhance the flavor. But I did enjoy adding in the veggies like jalapeño and green onions that usually come with pho. I enjoyed reading the owners story on the wall and learning that this is women owned. It wasn't too spectacular for me so giving my experience a 3 star. read more

My favorite item was the crispy wings! The salmon spring rolls were good, I'm just not a fan of salmon with peanut sauce. The banh mì was pretty good as well! It def had more meat than veggies and the pork was full of flavor. The salad was okay. The fried tofu was also okay but it was cold when i tried it but maybe it's better when warm? I noticed it was very well seasoned. The Ube drinks were good!! It didn't taste like it was made from powder. The Che Thai was a bit too sweet for my liking, but even you add ice, it levels out the sweetness! Saigon Hustle is a Vietnamese fast food concept, so the restaurant is small but has a decent sized outdoor seating area. It also gives off 70s local diner vibes. Nut allergy warning: Several dishes do have nuts, such as a peanut sauce used for the spring roll, and the salad. I'm not the biggest fan of the banh mi at Saigon Hustle, but they're a great spot for Vietnamese appetizers and one of the only spots in this area that make a che Thai. I wanted to get dinner Friday night and immediately thought of Saigon Hustle. They were out of bahn mi bread so sandwiches were out. I ordered wings, a bowl with pork and another with chicken. The wings were good but the skin was a little chewy. It was the perfect level of spice. I asked for additional chili sauce for the bowls. The bowls were very good. Another welcome addition to the neighborhood. I appreciate how much they kept the original footprint from the building and turned it into something new. Plenty of character from the design as you look into the restaurant. Good bit of seating inside and outside with a Drive Thru as well. For dine in guests you just order inside at the counter. The menu is not overstuffed, streamlined to the favorites of Vietnamese food in the city. Including Pho on the menu is something new compared to their original location. My banh mi was solid, banh mi's are the GOAT of the sandwich game though. My wife and daughter shared a massive bowl of pho, and since they didn't leave much behind I think they liked it. Price is right in the middle as far as Viet food goes. More expensive than your neighborhood spot, but not crazy high like other places like to creep up to. read more

One of many lunch spots around Houston. This restaurant is one that will always be a good sit down lunch spot where you can work freely on your laptop ect. The service is always amazing! Food and atmosphere is super hip! I always order their Vermicelli Ribeye with an egg roll. The Ribeye is sliced thin and marinated well in their signature sauce. Slightly sweet yet tangy!! They have the best vegetarian eggrolls! Far better than their pork! Super crunch and when dipped in their sauce, blows me out of the park!! You can expect plenty of parking during their lunch hours! I had a great experience here! The service was amazing!! The two young ladies that were working there tonight were so polite and friendly! I wanted to make sure I left them a good review! This place has a quiet/calm atmosphere, as well. The food was good. I got a variety of things to try and overall it was good. I got the Pork Banh Mi & Chicken Banh Mi, both were good! I would order them again! I also got the Honey Glazed Lemongrass Salmon Spring Rolls, they were good too. The peanut butter sauce is a great addition to this! We came here with hopeful expectations; however, I'm sorry to say that this was a huge disappointment. There were multiple flies flying about. My husband had to swat multiple flies away from tables and the silverware cups that just sit on top of the table tops. We ended up ordering the new Saigon street fries, bbq pork rice dish, bbq ribeye rice dish, and fried veggie egg rolls. Saigon Street Fries (2/5) - very bland for all the ingredients added to it which was shocking, they tasted mostly just like regular fries. There was absolutely nothing special about this dish. We got the small for $5.95. Fried Veggie Egg rolls (2/5) - Expensive and not my favorite taste wise. It just missed the mark on size, taste, and price. ($4.95 for two egg rolls). BBQ pork/ribeye dishes (1.5/5) - my pork was a little on the sweeter side (definitely more sweet than savory which is not my cup of tea), overcooked and not on par with the many bbq pork dishes we've eaten. There was a single serving of rice with a large salad to compensate for the lack of meat. The pork dish was $15.25 and the ribeye was $15.75 - way too expensive for what you're getting. For the cost of $50+ meal (with tip) this place is absolutely not worth it. read more

Well guys this place for sure is a new gem to the spring branch area. Not only do they serve great foods like their super Crunchy sauced wings but delicious desserts! They have DRIVE THRU!!!! The service is so friendly and impeccable, the place is so tropical vibe you can't help but feel relaxed! The owners are female entrepreneurs trying to show off the yummy Vietnamese cuisine to the folks around them. Business is finally open, and I couldn't be happier to welcome a new Vietnamese restaurant to the neighborhood! We had been eagerly waiting to see what would move into this spot, and it's such a pleasant surprise to have a cozy pho place right here. As a Vietnamese food enthusiast, I love that this spot offers both great food and a fun, laid-back vibe--perfect for hanging out. They offer a variety of dishes. We tried the beef pho and the grilled pork banh mi. The pho had a light, flavorful broth that wasn't too heavy, with portions that felt just right. My husband really enjoyed the banh mi, noting how refreshing it was with crisp, fresh ingredients. We also appreciated the generous mayo, which added just the right amount of richness. The space itself is charming, with plenty of natural light and lots of seating. The whimsical murals inside and out had give the place a bright and playful touch that makes it feel welcoming. Solid Pho spot that will satisfy the craving you're having. I dined in on a Sunday around noon and the staff was friendly. The restaurant is small and cute with a nice beachy vibe and some outdoor seating. I had: Beef Pho which had meatball, round, and brisket. (they don't have size options and they only had one option that came with the 3 meats mentioned) - the broth was flavorful and pretty clear. The one portion size they had was perfect for me and was definitely more of a medium portion. Noodles were perfectly cooked. The eye round was sliced thicker than you usually find at other spots. Brisket was nice and the meatball was also nice and bouncy. $13+change for the pho is a little higher than usual but the flavor was worth it compared to the other pho spots in spring branch, or lack thereof. 8/10 Shrimp and pork spring rolls. For $9+ for two spring rolls, I won't be getting them again. The vermicelli was overcooked and the pork was not like your typical pork ham. It was thicker slices of very dry pork. The peanut sauce on the side was very thick and salty, great taste but got overwhelming quickly. Overall, for the price and taste, I give these a 6/10. Passion fruit tea. Tasty and refreshing. A bit on the sweeter side, but the ice dilutes it for me so it works out great. 8/10 Other bits: They don't have chili oil. As far as condiments go, they have sambal, sriracha, and hoisin. Won't return. There are way better places for pho. They only have two options - I got the chicken which was only breast meat and extremely stringy and chewy. Broth was fine. They messed up our drink orders after first forgetting to even put them in (even though we were charged). So we didn't even get our incorrect drinks until halfway through our meal. So basically the service is not good. My friend got the vermicelli and the noodles were cold. She didn't mind but I've never been served cold vermicelli before. The cashier brought our food out and his thumb dipped in to the pho soup bowl. Who knows where his hands have been touching. Yuck, please learn how to properly serve a bowl of noodle soup...go to Pho Dien, Pho Saigon, or Pho Sapa and watch them handle a bowl of pho without dipping their finger(s) into someone's broth. Also, watch their centers of operational excellence. Some of these pho restaurants provide amazing service for half the price. The entree portions were smaller than other eatery spots, but a lot of restaurants are beginning to reduce their serving sizes due to increased supply costs. The meats were super salty and burnt, not well marinated with little flavor. The vegetables looked pretty fresh and the fish sauce, as well as the vinaigrette sauce was good. The prices are higher than most Vietnamese restaurants, so you might be better off going to your local joints. The restaurant space and concept is nice, but unfortunately operations had missed executions on many levels. It was probably a bad idea to first try Saigon Hustle on the day they were celebrating the Year of the Dragon. The restaurant was overrun with people and cars. Picking up our to go order was rather chaotic. I ordered egg rolls which tasted fine but had been left in the fryer a bit too long, rendering them a very dark brown. My husband's Pork Vermicelli Bowl was very good. In the future, though, we'll probably frequent Pho Huy for their excellent versions of what we had at a more affordable price. read more

Do not trust anything claiming to be vegetarian they put meat in it. This store put pork in my vegetarian meal. I haven't eaten meat in 20 years and specifically abstain from pork. The manager refused to educate the kitchen on putting meat in vegetarian meals and was completely unapologotic on the phone. Also I won't be getting a refund since I used door dash. We were so excited to try this place, just from how it looks and what was on the menu, but we were so disappointed to find out that everything from their drinks, food- even sauces lacked so much flavor and authenticity... Every component either had a odd taste, or was completely bland in flavor. (Lemonade tasted like dish water, peanuts sauce lacks so much authentic flavor- it almost ruins the bite you are looking for when eating with it, somehow the fish sauce mix that comes on the side was bland (never in my life have I experienced that before..., thai tea wasn't sweet, lychee green tea tasted like it was rotten, and the best thing about the bahn mi was the bread,) and Icing on the cake: the food was COLD... Another great Vietnamese food option to have in the Spring Branch area. I love that they are not skimping on the fresh herbs and vegetables. I found the proteins were well seasoned, marinated, with great char marks. However, the reason why I gave it three stars that the vermicelli noodles were so over cooked, it was almost slimey. It really was quite unappetizing for me. The cooks need to learned how to do this right. I read in other reviews I was not the only customer who felt the same way. Now, this may be because I got them without the aioli they are meant to come with, but the tofu bites tasted inexplicably like penis. Warm, and a little salty with not too much going on. The banh mi was nice and crispy and filled to the bribe with meat and veggies. And there had unique dishes like banh xeo spring roll which I've never seen in any other restaurant. Horrible! This was so bad that I don't know where to start, might as well be the food, it was awful. The chicken pho came out luke warm/cold and with so little broth that it looked like a pad thai noddle dish. The broths flavor was like a can of Campell's chicken noddle soup. The pork bahn mi was ineditable, we could only manage 3 bite's as we had to spit out all 3 of them (on both sides of the sandwich) due to the chewy/shoe leather pork. There was only 1 service person up front and she was overwhelmed by the fact that she was the order taker/cashier, the server and the bus boy. It felt like the kitchen might have only had one cook/preparer as it took 15 minutes to get our food. There were cleaning products out on empty tables and in the restroom, there was toilet bowl cleaner bottle on top of the paper towel rack. The icing on the cake for me was the fact that this was the most overpriced meals I have ever had. The same meal at other Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhood is $12 cheaper. The design of the store is extremely compelling and and welcoming, but yet it has a cutting edge. It feels like it was an old gas station, but the shape of the building with the rounded windows really is special. It was a great repurpose of probably was an eyesore. I've eaten here five or six times. The food is spectacular. Yes as other reviews have said, it's a bit pricier than other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Yet the amount of protein and the freshness of the ingredients make it worth it. In fact, the food is on par with the best of Vietnamese sit down, high-end restaurants. The Pho is something I crave.
