For the area it's in, I don't hate it! I usually enjoy pho places in Chinatown or Katy Asian Town. This place is convenient and close to home, so I decided to try it. There's spacious seating and the menu has quite the options from classic appetizers to pho, rice, vermicelli and other specials. The eggrolls are piping hot and crispy! My mom and I have been coming here for years. We love the chicken pho and egg rolls. The best comfort food and the flavor is so good. The portion sizes are huge and for a good price. I've had Bahn Mi's in the past where the bread is so hard to bite through that it's a whole jaw workout lol- but thankfully this spot doens't have that problem. But the pork was flavorful and had that perfectly grilled charcoal taste that made the taste amazing. And with the pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapeno, and mayo, this sandwhich is a must get if you come. And to top it all off, we got their Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese coffee) and I enjoyed every sip! Needs improvement on service and the flavor has changed since the pandemic. I used to love this place pre-pandemic. I would go on a weekly basis as a treat. However, I noticed that their flavor of the broth and the service has significantly degraded post-pandemic. When I would visit this place, most of the staff semi-recognized me and I would always tip way over 25%. But there is one older lady that was always rude to me from the start and I noticed that it was not just me. One particular incident was when I asked for extra lime, most of the other staff already knew I always asked for extra limes, including this lady. When I asked her, she gave me this mean look and said no. Then she came back and said, if you want more lime, you have to pay extra. I told her no problem, just add it to my bill. She didn't respond and walked away and never brought my lime. By that time, I had already noticed a different more bland taste to their broth which, with pho, it is essential for the overall flavor of the dish. I never went back after that. Not sure what happened but whatever recipe they changed the pho broth to, they need to change it back. I would also suggest having some type of music or a tv, the entire place is silent and awkward and everyone can hear your conversations. I wish I could give this place a good review as it was my favorite for many years but unfortunately, they changed and it's not for the better. read more

I absolutely love this place. I have never tried pho before until a few months ago when I took my girlfriend so she can get some pho. When they brought the bowl to the table, it looks so good and smelt so good. I just had to try some of the broth and ever since then I've been addicted like an addict on crack. I cannot get enough of this pho. The broth is so good. The noodles is really good. They don't stick together and there is a lot of flavor. I haven't tried pho anywhere else, but this is by far the best dish I've ever tried. I live in Cypress and drive all the way to Spring branch just to get a bowl. It is well worth the drive but I want to find something closer. This is more of a weekend spot for me that I go to. 5 stars read more

We walked in & she wanted to sit us right at the table by the door. I asked if we could sit elsewhere and we decided a small table which is good for 2. She comes back and ask if we are ready and I tell her I am but my friend isn't.. so she gave us time and came back & I ordered my shrimp pho (which only comes in a large) and my friend proceeds to order.. a bahn mi & a regular portion of the combination fried rice.. & that's when I realized to myself that this table is to small for everything we are ordering as I didn't think he would order 2 plates. Food starts coming out and when the appetizer gets there there is no room on the table. 2 drinks, 4 eggrolls, plate with pho fixings & I see the guy with my pho coming and we decide to pull the small table next to us as everything was DEFF not going to fit. Didn't think it was an issue. As the rest of the food starts coming out & we are about to take our bite out of our main dishes. The short Hispanic older busboy approaches the table and tells us that next time we can't pull a table like that because the owners don't like that & are looking at the cameras. I would think if the waitress knows everything we are ordering and if it's going to be an issue since it's obvious all that food wasn't going to fit that they would advise or help us move to a bigger table yet here we have the busboy telling us to not do that and next time to sit at a bigger table. It was freaking 6:45/7pm.. maybe 6 other tables there. They were not busy and a lot of available tables. I truly didn't think my friend was going to order 2 big plates as the plan was to just go for pho & egg rolls. If it's an issue also have management address it not the busboy.. when I finally told him "Hey, we didn't know we were going to order this much food" he still proceeded to say "well now you know so next time you don't pull tables together" ... am I going to stop going here. I haven't been to all, obviously, but I have been to alot of Pho restaurants and I will say that on this side of town Pho Huy is my number one go to. I appreciate that they offer two sizes. The broth is delicious! Not too salty like some places. You can taste the flavors in the broth but it's not overwhelming. The meat is sliced very thin so it cooks well in the hot broth and there's a good amount. Some places jip you on the meat and just give you lots of noodles. Their tofu pho is also very flavorful as a vegetarian option. The staff is very is attentive and the everything I've ever ordered has been yummy.
