The space is narrow but has a nice size room towards the back. Would be good for group since it's semi secluded towards the back. The service is a bit slow as I only ever see one or two servers for the entire place. But it's clean and airy with tall ceilings. Prices are very reasonable for the location in fidi and also considering the giant portion size! So yummy! I love pho and this is a decent spot! The soup is hot and perfect for these colder days leading up to winter. Grab yourself and go, this area was certainly missing a good Vietnamese sit down location. My fave is the beef flank and pork chop!

{Overall: 3.5; Food: 3.5} Ambiance: 3; Service: 3 A good spot to grab a quick pho for lunch in FiDi. It's super popular, but it's generally easy to get a table even during peak hours. Food comes out within minutes. The beef pho was solid: a big bowl with good noodles, tender meat, and rich broth. The only option for chicken pho is grilled chicken. Service is fine. Very much focused on keeping everything moving, with a light-touch approach. Works for a quick, satisfying lunch.

The pho here hit the spot, especially on a drizzly summer day. The prices were very reasonable given its fidi location. We got the flank and brisket pho with the flank slices on the side to get to the perfect temperature and the combo banh mi to share. The portions were very filling where we saved the 2nd half of the sandwich for layer. The only underwhelming dish was the summer roll where the shrimps were pretty small and the fillings were not too exciting. The restaurant was spacious, with skylights and plants, and very clean. The server was friendly and the food came out very fast. I would highly recommend visiting this spot when you are in the area.

I don't walked in during a good rainy day because I desperately needed something soupy to warm me up. Growing up in Chinatown, I wasn't really expecting much from pho John because the pho restaurants in ct are so good. But I was really surprised. The soup was clean tasting and the pho was authentic. I LOVED the duck spring rolls. The waitress left me to myself for the most part but I was grateful for it.

I have come to this establishment twice for an hour lunch. They served my food promptly even with a large crowd. There are not many pho restaurants to choose from in the area and this one has pretty large portions. Overall, it's very clean inside. Though the bathroom could use some sprucing up. The pho is very delicious and hearty. I like to stop by when I need something to cure my sinuses or give me a little more energy. I wish they had an option for a smaller portion of soup because I can never finish it all. A smaller portion for a lunch price would be a great addition to the menu.

I also got the Thai ice tea (not pictured) and it was so sweet, even sipping from the top near the ice didn't help. The fried spring rolls were really good! Finally a place in NYC that uses wonton wrappers instead of rice wrappers. They are filled with meat and fried to the right amount. The pho is $16 which is a really good deal considering the portion was really big. I couldn't finish both the pho and the spring rolls on my own when I could at other places. They give a lot more noodles than meat. The broth isn't super aromatic, but it's there! The restaurant has a lot of seatings. I don't live close to FIDI, but if I'm in the area I'd make sure to swing by :)

Amazing veggie pho likely the best I've ever had. Copious amount of toppings and the broth was so rich and flavorful. I wish it came with fresh sliced jalapeños for the top but otherwise amazing. Ordered Togo and it was ready in less than ten minutes.

Very happy to see this place pop up in the area! Flank & Brisket Pho - soup came out hot (what I love), clean, herbal (but not too much) the soup flavor was well balanced for me. Sold! Spring Roll - thin wrap crispy and served hot. Delicious. Grilled Pork Banh Mi - unfortunately the bread was a bit stale and meat was a bit dry/touch. Picked carrot and daikon were great though. Will make this my regular pho spot downtown!

    Beef pho, Thai Ice Tea

The food was so incredible, the banh mi was so so good and the bread was. The spring rolls were the best ive ever had, absolutely cleaned the plate. Also the best thai tea ive ever had in my life and im from "thai town." The pho was also pretty impressive. The service was quick and to the point. Song choices were questionable but the overall vibe was cool and modern.

My friend wanted to try Pho John St because it was cold outside and close by. I ordered the flank pho, while she ordered the grilled chicken pho (each $16). It came in a huge bowl. Portion size for noodles and meat was generous, and service was quick. However, we both agreed that the broth was lacking in depth compared to others we have had.

Nice to have this very spacious dining room in this area. It's so good to sit and enjoy a meal . Lots of the places in this area ha e a couple seats if you're lucky and are usually crowded. The restaurant is esthetically pleasingand clean. A huge light lit window is above the rear dining area. The pho is good and flavorful- we had the flank and Brisket. Huge bowl with lots of noodles, $16 . Very fair price for the amount of pho. My hubby also had the grilled pork Bahn Mi, the meat was tender and well seasoned and the packed with fresh tasting pickled veggies. The hostess/server was the only one on the floor. It was not busy at the moment we went but it did start filling up while we were there. I guess we had missed the lunch crowd. She was friendly and handled all the tables herself. There was not a long wait for the food to come out. She was on top of her game with refilling water, checking on us , very attentive. Overall a beautiful and delicious experience. Will be back soon. Perfect place for a hot bowl of comfort on these winter days. There is an indoor ramp for easy wheelchair access and the bathroom is also spacious and has accessibility handle bars.

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

I'm not sure if it's trying to be "different," but the taco options were unappealing just from reading the descriptions. I managed to choose the two best-sounding items I could find, and honestly, they were so bland I don't even remember what they were. The setup and decor were basic. This spot could be a fun hangout, but it would take a better menu and staff who actually seem to care. It feels like just another restaurant that's lost sight of creating an actual experience for guests. The lack of vibe is obvious--if you don't want customers, just say so. I'm giving 2 stars out of respect for the fact that people have to work for a living.

I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
