    Pho combo

A quaint little pho restaurant located in a strip mall with playing parking. The staff here are very friendly. The portion size is a bit small for the price. I ordered the Pho Combination. They do provide a generous portion of basil and bean sprouts though! Overall, a decent place to eat.

Great spot for a cold, windy day. The soup was good and full of flavor, and the food came out quickly. We arrived at 7:45 pm on a Sunday, they are open until 8:30 pm. We received our food before 8:00 pm which was nice as we were definitely hungry. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's also a good amount of dine-in seating available, which is nice since it's close and right in the heart of Kapaa town. My son had no complaints about his fried rice (which he order with no vegetables of course). And I really enjoyed the summer rolls and peanut sauce--came with 2 rolls, and it was fresh. My husband & daughter ordered the #10: Rare Steak Noodle Pho, which they savored & devoured every last bit. We do wish the soup portions were a little larger, especially because we really enjoyed our Pho. Overall this is our favorite Kauai Pho spot. Check it out, hope you like it too!

Had a serious craving for Pho with a sore throat on a rainy Kauai evening and I couldn't have been happier with our selection! My chicken Pho was so tasty and the broth was spot on. The staff were so nice and even brought our toddler a comp mango cake at the end of our meal. Highly recommend this cute spot!

    Bun Bo Hue

While the service was good, the $25.99 Bun Bo Hue was not. It was bland and they already included the vegetables to make it look full. The meats were same as the combination pho except for the added oxtail. I have eaten many Bun Bo Hue in my life and this one was at the bottom. There might be a food safety issue as well. I am sitting in my car with the view of the kitchen. The server is using his unwashed ungloved hands to make the vegetables for the pho.

I haven't been back since the new year. New prices. I tried a new dish and wasn't impressed - the fried rice. Their pho has always been good, but I haven't tried it in a few months.

Stopped by Pho Kapaa and really enjoyed the pho. The broth was hot, flavorful, and came out super fast -- still steaming when it hit the table. Nothing better than a piping hot bowl of soup. Service was quick and efficient. I'd consider coming back next time I'm in the area.

Kiddos were missing their noodle soups and Pho Kapaa is located close to our hotel. Arrived at around 7:30pm, and we got there right before a line started to form. Hubs ordered the Bun bo Hue which definitely had a kick. Mom ordered the oxtail pho and noted the broth was flavorful but the oxtail pieces were quite fatty and not a lot of meat. Kiddo ordered pho with the rare beef and ate it all up. I ordered the pho with duck - it was ok. Would've liked more duck slices and bamboo shoots. Note - 25% gratuity added for parties of 6 or more. This caught us a little off guard - 20% may be common, but 25%?!?

We were on vacation and stayed ~5 min away. We came in around 7:30PM (30 min before closing) and I ordered the Pho Combination. We were visiting from LA so my expectations are pretty high. If this was LA, I would probably give 3.5 stars but it's Kaua'i with limited restaurant options so def 4.5 stars. The Pho Combination ($17) came with lots of meat and broth definitely hit the spot after the vacation drinks. The sauce options were not OG sriracha or hoisin, so it felt a bit off but the pho itself it the spot. Service was quick, and our order came out quickly. I'd eat here again if we stay in the area next time!

Its right off a main road and you cannot miss it. Parking lot was a bit small, but there was plenty of parking. AMBIANCE: When I went there was plenty of seating. A bit dead, but I also did go pretty early. There were a bunch of decor of older American pop culture like Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, etc. But also Hawaiian themed decor (obviously). SERVICE: You gotta walk up to the front to order. I was approached almost immediately as soon as I walked up to the menu on the screen. The girl working was super friendly and welcoming. I made my order and she gave me a pager for when my food was ready. FOOD: I ordered the chili pepper chicken, which was recommended from the girl at the counter. My friend ordered the ahi katsu. The chili pepper chicken was good! It was crispy and extremely flavorful. It was slightly too salty for my taste, but luckily the rice does help balance it out. Some of the crispness was sacrificed for the sauce, but it was overall still pretty crispy. I loved that they used boneless chicken thigh. I was expecting bones or lots of breading but it actually had a perfect ratio. I wasn't much a fan of the mac salad. It was like a mix of mac and potato salad, but more like a potato salad. I'm not big on potato salad, so that makes sense. My friend's ahi katsu was alright in my opinion. The sauce that's on it was good and enjoyed all the flavors. The tuna was just a bit overcooked to my liking, but idk how else one would make a katsu without overlooking it too much. Maybe bread the fish and freeze it before frying? Idk man, I'm not a chef lol but the tuna would definitely be better if it was less cooked. OVERALL: Honestly, I would still come here again. I still enjoyed the meal and the service was pretty quick. Both items were both worth trying. All the flavors were there and the little things I didn't like were just personal preferences. Its a great place to pick up a lunch plate and enjoy it at the beach.

I gotta say, I generally don't like grabbing food for take-out, it just doesn't taste as good, nor is it as fresh, but this place was worth it. My girlfriend called ahead and found they had a pretty long wait time. Sucked for us, but it's a good sign when there's a line out the door of people waiting to be seated. I was only inside a brief moment to pick up the food, but staff was very friendly, and the hustle and buzzle of the place gave this brunch spot that air of "you will clean your plate, you will eat too much, and you will like it." We decided on the Kauai Benedict and it was phenomenal. Egg's were on point in flavor and texture, the sweet roll worked as the perfect vessel for the flavors, and the kahlua pork was fantastic, cooked well, and seasoned flawlessly. To top it all off, they honored our request for extra crispy hash browns. It really does make one wonder, how much better would things have been if we didn't have to order for take out and we had the chance to dine in? 5/5 experience.

Kauai Juice Co. was such a fun stop during our trip! I ordered the Starburst (strawberry,…read morepineapple, orange), and it totally reminded me of Jamba Juice's Strawberry Surfrider -- one of my all-time favorites -- so I was instantly obsessed. It was super refreshing, flavorful, and perfect for the island vibes. They offer two sizes, and I went with the smaller one, which was honestly perfect. It comes in the cutest reusable glass bottle, and they let you return it (washed) for store credit -- such a great eco-friendly touch! But honestly, it's also such a cute souvenir that you might want to keep it. The shop itself also carries a variety of other items, so I'll definitely be coming back to explore more during our trip. The location is great too -- there's plenty of street parking and a nearby parking lot, and it's surrounded by other cute shops and foodie spots, making it a great place to walk around and explore. We were the last customers since the lady literally closed up shop as soon as we finished eating by 6:30pm. I only got a Thai moco here, and got more stuff from the other Thai truck just in the next lot, so I suppose it is difficult to judge the entire menu based on one dish. However, I'll say it was probably the best (though not perfect) moco I had during this trip. The burger patties were crisp on the edges and had great umami, almost like a fried chicken which was unexpected. The rice was a lot, maybe too much, but cooked right. The eggs were a bit undercooked, whites still slightly raw, but I actually don't mind raw eggs (psh salmonella) so I didn't say anything. The gravy was good but a bit too chunky and thick, like too much corn starch or something. Service was ok. Had to order from the window right next to a swarm of flies as the trash can was nearby. Lots of open seating, but also lots of flies trying to beat me to my food. Menu very very extensive, not just Thai food, but also a lot of Asian classics. Overall, don't regret trying this as it satisfied my loco moco craving, but I probably wouldn't drive 45min out of my way to get it.
