Went here after seeing the banner advertise 4.99 PHO! What the PHO??! So I had to go in and check this place out....Hungry! Well the place had a different way of ordering your food. Basically you go up to the register and order, like a take out place, then be seated. I was leary of this method, but it worked! They brought out my PHO order with all the veggie fixings, including my sliced onion. The tables are already set up like a PHO joint, so that was good too. Never had to ask for anything more! The server was polite, as she always asks if you need anything else? Not sure how long they'll have the 4.99 Pho deal? For 4.99 you get a regular sized bowl of pho and any 3 meats you wish. Not a bad deal? They do give you plenty for the bowl size too. If I can save $3.00 over a bowl of Pho and get the same satisfaction I do from other nearby places then I just found my spot! read more

We finally stopped and tried Pho Kobe last night. We arrived approximately 6 p.m. and the restaurant was about half-full. I thought the food came out quickly and I was pleasantly surprised at the variety on the menu. I know a lot of other comments surround how this is not a traditional Vietnamese pho restaurant personally that's what I like about it. I ordered shrimp udon noodles and they were fresh hot flavorful cooked just right zero complaints. My husband ordered beef yakisoba. The noodles were excellent the beef was flavorful everything came out hot and freshly cooked. We will definitely be going again soon. We actually would have given it 5 stars however we found that the place seemed a little grimy but nothing we couldn't get around, and it was very cold inside. We arrived around 6 p.m. and the air conditioning was up way too high. You had to wear a jacket inside the restaurant. read more

I can honestly say I have never had a bad bowl of Pho until today. I came here because the other place I usually go to up here is closed on Mondays and I really wanted some pho. I'm giving them 3 stars because the servers were actually really nice and attentive. But the food was just not tasty. I was surprised to see how opaque the broth was. Usually Pho has more of a transparent look to it, but this bowl just looked off. I asked for more limes because I usually use a lot of lime. They brought me some really NOT fresh limes that were a bit brown on the edges. They were bitter and pretty much threw off the taste of the pho. It's almost as if this place is not really authentic Vietnamese. Just about every pho place I've been to is ran by Vietnamese employees and this place was not. It really made it feel unauthentic. Totally not bagging on the employees, they were great. But I just thought it was a little different to see a pho restaurant with nothing but non-Vietnamese employees. I wouldn't say that I'll never come back because they do have other menu items that look very delicious, but at least I can say that I will not be coming back for Pho. read more

Wow, this place has improved. Possibly the new best pho in the High Desert. You will actually see Vietnamese people eating here. (Always a good sign) Im a pho-ologist. This place is the only legit pho in the HD. Slightly better than the other places. Trust me. Pho done right, good customer service, friendly environment, great food, and american standard. I would choose this place over Pho Belwood, but only because they are friendlier and it is a more inviting atmosphere. This was my first visit to Pho Kobe and first visit to Pho restaurant in the HD. It was enjoyable and the food was good. Unfortunately, it has nothing on Pho places down the hill. Pho Kobe has about ten dishes, one actual Pho soup, and about 10 types of boba. I had the Pho Trio, the Gyoza, and Thai tea with boba. The trio was good, the noodles were thin not traditional thick pho noodles, but they were cook well. The beef was good, but a fair amount of fat on it. But, the broth was a winner with added lime juice. The service was awesome, zero complaints. Very friendly staff. Restaurant was keep up, but do not expect anymore than a hole in the wall type atmosphere. I will be returning for $4.99 pho and delicious thai tea boba. read more

Sorry Kobe, you air-balled. I ordered a Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) and the chicken was super rock solid and dry. The broth left something to be desired as I usually only add a small bit of hoisin sauce and Sriracha. This time I had to add a couple spoonfuls to make it appeal to my taste buds. Yeah, maybe because I'm from LA I have a snobbier attitude about Pho because I've grown up with it and I should deal with mediocrity because it's the high desert. However, I found a phenomenal Mediterranean place in Victorville that was one of the best Mediterranean places I've ever eaten at. There are also other restaurants around that are good "for the area". For this, I won't sacrifice giving away extra stars because of location. So I'm writing to change my post since last time I visited this place. I have to say that we did come back actually more times and I should've written a review but completely forgot. This place has really shaped up and is the only Pho restaurant I would recommend in the HD. The food is delicious. They have some pretty good rice dishes too but we usually get the soup. I order the spicy soup I can't remember the name but it's pretty much the only spicy soup on the menu. The kiddos get the B or C. You guys have redeemed yourselves I am a current customer. Le'ts say, this is an oriental "fast food" restaurant, like other reviewers are saying. My husband loves the fried rice there. To me, it is fine. Fried noodles? no thank you. It is too oily to me. (I guess this would be typical fried noodles in some areas in Asia. So, some people might prefer in this way.) Under the noodle, there was a pile of steamed veggies accumulated the height of the noodle on the plate. It somewhat gives us a healthier combination but what people may not be anticipated in this way. As for Pho, to be honest, since this is not my favorite menu, I may not be capable of giving a proper evaluation. To me, this may be about average. No impression at all. It is only a fast food quality and price. So we should have no expectation to the quality of the food. (The beef that was used in the fried noodle will be chunky pieces including cartilage bones) I have not ordered bento-box and sushi yet there. Their service is also okay. But the sanitation in the restaurant was not super clean at all. They left the plates which people are done for a long time enough for other customers to notice it (, which might be a Pho restaurant's universal rule, though.) Rice plates are $8-9 each. As we parked and walked to the door, a lady stormed out the door and said, "TERRIBLE SERVICE, but very friendly people". Huh, okay. We've been to a lot of other local Vietnamese Cafes in other areas and we never really expect great restaurant type service. It's more about the food. Maybe she didn't see the sign that said "pay at the counter". I got a Charbroiled Beef rice plate with shredded pork and baked egg. It tasted okay, but then after a couple bites, I realized how rubbery the meat was and it stopped tasting good. Being pregnant, I have a pretty hearty appetite. I couldn't eat much of the meal. My husband got a mixed Shrimp Fried Rice which smelled really good, the sausage was tasty, but I don't eat shrimp. He ate all of it, he's pretty easy to please, although he wasn't impressed with the prices and didn't want to go back there in the future. The cafe su da (Vietnamese iced coffee) was premade, not fresh from the little brew cups. We had to ask for extra cream and sweeten milk for that and my Thai Iced Tea. $22 for two dishes and two drinks. Definitely a little overpriced. Maybe that's normal for the area, but the food wasn't good enough for us to ever go back to this place again. I know there are a few other Vietnamese cafes along the block. We'll keep looking for a Vietnamese Cafe/Pho place though. UPDATE: My husband's stomach was all messed up from the food the next morning. Don't go here. I would imagine it was the shrimp. read more

The food was good. Price was comparable to other pho places. The service wasn't great. One lady was pretty rude and couldn't be bothered to help you other than taking your order. Another girl working here wouldn't remember anything you asked for once she walked away from your table. We had our food taken to our table then had to wait 10 min for utensils. I'm a huge fan of their sukiyaki beef, and on a cold day, nothing beats a bowl of their vegetable pho. There's udon for those who don't want rice or glass noodles, and plenty of sides (their gyoza is not to be missed)...and to wash it down, why not grab a taro smoothie or some milk tea with boba? I do not understand how a restaurant can consistently serve spoiled/rotten produce repeatedly and be allowed to stay in business. The issues from previous reviews continue to exist...rotten limes and bean sprouts. I would post pics but they look like the other photos of rotten bean sprouts & limes that were previously posted. On a lighter note, our server was very apologetic even though she served a second plate of spoiled bean sprouts and reported that is all they have and the owner is working on the issue. Tip for anyone serving food: Rotten food should never leave the kitchen to be served. read more

The pho I got here was pretty simple meatballs and beef. My tasted pretty good but my fiance on the other hand was not so lucky. His just tasted like tripe water soup all the way. I also ordered their Thai tea with boba, even though the bobas were hard the drink was still good. I wished it was softer , but I had way worst. The prices were reasonable, food was good, and the staff seem alright. The gal that helped us seemed really sweet and friendly. I would definitely recommend trying this place out.
