The owner/manager is a jerk. He treats his employees badly & talks down to his customers when there is misunderstandings. Not only have I witnessed him do this to others, I finally have also experienced this after my order came out wrong. This was not the servers fault as she verified the order & my special request for garlic, before leaving the table. My shrimp rolls came with mint that I had requested removed, when I got the remake it only had 2 shrimp instead of the 5 from the first time. I received pickled ginger- not garlic, & the wrong ramen meal. The beef was so overcooked, I thought I was eating flavorless rubber. The yolk of my egg was gone! When I addressed this with the manager he became upset, which I first thought it may be a language barrier. I was sorely wrong! He corrected the price of my order but not before causing a scene with me, repeatedly trying to force me to say it was the servers fault & belittling her in front of everyone. The food is tasty and their fresh spring rolls are huge! We usually order the vermicelli bowl with barbecue pork and we add shrimp, it was all seasoned really well and was delicious. We also ordered the brisket and tendon pho but the only issue was the tendons were super hard. This is the first time it has happened to me so I hope it was an isolated event. I didn't complain at the time since I ordered it to go and I was not feeling well and didn't want to go back out. The broth was tasty and they provided all the ingredients to add in. I try every pho place i can. This one was recommended by many Vietnamese friends. It is now one of my top two pho places (it would be top 1 if prices were a couple dollars less). Higher prices than most but They up for it with plentiful meat. The broth is flavorful with the allspice, clove etc spices that were there but not overpowering. The meat was plentiful in my brisket and tendon pho... and the tendon was perfect with no cartilage (as many other places try to sneak in cartilage to save money... not this place) and little fat. We went here a couple of weeks ago. We were in the area and based on the yelp reviews, we thought we'd give it a try. I am very picky about Vietnamese food because it is my favorite. I liked it better than my husband. The fish sauce and peanut sauce was really good. The service was really good just like the reviews have said the eggrolls were decent. The barbecued pork spring rolls were good but salty. My husband said all of the meat on his combination. Dinner didn't have very much seasoning. I also ordered a Bahn Mi sandwich but was too full to eat it that night. The grilled pork on my sandwich was also really salty. I ate it the next day and I thought it was good. I love Vietnamese iced coffee and the reviews said it was really good so I ordered one. it was not good at all. I didn't drink it. I am not sure we would come back here. I love this mom and pop place. The food is delicious and have great portions. My favorite is of coarse the Pho but my second to go is their spicy orange chicken, fried rice, spring rolls (grilled pork) and fried egg rolls are great too! Three Words ... Savory, Flavorful, Perfect. Easiest way to describe it. We now have a new favorite place and I'm so happy it's close to where we live. Trust me you can't go wrong coming to eat here. We walked in and waiter let us know it was gonna be 45min wait. We where okay with it. He sat us and brought us lemon water right away. We ordered and got our food within 10min of us walking in. I was amazed! Especially because it was hands down one of the best pho places I've been to. I have Vietnamese friends and I can't wait to bring them here because I know they'll approve. And we're back! Amidst a desperate desire to be physically and mentally healed by pho, I ordered the Steak Pho/Pho Tai and some shrimp and pork spring rolls. There was the option of having "fresh pork" vs "grilled pork" and the server recommended grilled. Not very sure what the difference would've been but I didn't regret the decision. Spring rolls arrived classically paired with peanut sauce. Definitely put that on before every bite, along with their chili sauce and hoisin sauces (it sounds like you'll get lost in the sauce but please trust me). Pho was great! Came with a plate on the side full of essentials- bean sprouts, thai basil, sliced jalapeños, and limes. Throw all of that in there! The broth was very flavorful and I almost burned my throat multiple times because I wanted to eat too quickly. Meat was thinly sliced just how I like it. Pretty popular place to eat at on a Sunday afternoon but thankfully we didn't have to wait to be seated. Right now a hot bowl of pho soup doesn't sound too appealing but boy, there's nothing better than that when the temps dip to more humane levels in Phoenix. There is limited space and the place is popular so fitting the whole family into the dining area gets challenging. The food itself is delicious. Doesn't matter what you order, it's fresh and super yummy. Personal favorite are the Banh Mi sandwiches. The wife adores their pho. Price wise everything is in line with what you expect from a Vietnamese family restaurant.
