The menu here is extensive but we wanted Pho. I ordered the fresh bone-in chicken pho. It had decent flavor but was a little bland. The dip that came with it wasn't what I was used to. My husband ordered the Special Pho and he said that had very good flavor. He didn't even need to add fish sauce. My favorite items were the fried spring rolls and iced coffee (I give those 5 stars). The sauce they throw on there was really good. Tofu was a little crisp. I love it that way. With my meal I got a Vietnamese coffee. Which at a lot of places is pretty sweet. This one was very flavorful and you could really taste the coffee. This is how it's done right in my opinion. Not the overpowering sweetness at other joints. My wife got a dish that was a spring roll and shrimp on top of noodles and vegetables. She didn't know what it was but the menu had photos. It was a wonderful choice. As a Viet who moved to Philly 9 years ago, I have struggled finding a good beef pho place. I have tried all recommendations around Philly, and none really resembles the taste I'm familiar with at home. This restaurant is the first to actually get close to "authenticity" for me, and their beef pho flavor is SO good. We have also tried a few other special Ha Noi dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them all. They all taste very similar to home with a special twist of flavor from the owner. We would recommend the beef pho and their variations (pho cuon, pho tron), as well as the vermicelli (like bun cha) and the banh cuon. Especially the banh cuon - very fragrant and craftily made, very different (and better) than some other banh cuon we have tried at other places in Philly.
