I got the shrimp and beef brisket pho and it was good! Services time was quick I didn't have to wait that long for my food to come out, like about 5mins if event. The aesthetics is decent, don't wear anything fancy just a quick daily outfit. The place has light Buddhist decore!

Always feels good when you can raise the star level in a review, and I was surprised that my last review was in 2016 but when I mentioned the Pho ... I guess I was predicting the perfect hot bowl of yumminess I enjoyed on a very cold rainy South Jersey day!! We arrived at 2 in the afternoon and this small dining area was still busy with what appeared to be extremely happy diners!! Soon we would enjoy them as we allowed the aroma of Vietnamese cooking to take over our senses. This is a delightful eatery that is spotlessly clean and has the most welcoming of hosts who I presume is the owner of Bo Ne! The menu is not complicated at all but offers a variety of traditional Vietnamese options ranging from Banh Mi to Pho to a variety of vermicelli options. I went for the Pho Nam and my lunch partner chose the Bun Ga. As the food was delivered to our table its appearance teased and the scent of the meals made us even hungrier. The Pho came with plenty of the typical add on's and the vermicelli dish looked oh so good. The taste matched the appearance and all of our senses were absolutely pleased!! If there was any criticism and it is minor ... I felt that there could have been another piece or two of flank steak in my Pho but there was enough ... I just would have liked a little more. Our host spent some time talking with us after our meal. She really pushed their Vietnamese meatballs, which neither of us had. She shared how much time is invested in making them ... I almost ordered Pho bo vien to go! I am very happy to have rediscovered this quaint location for excellent Vietnamese food. So Fi Phi PHO I won ... perfection on a cold rainy day until I walked back in the rain with a happy belly and a warm sense to my inner soul!

The staff were very friendly but the food was just OK. The chicken in the pho was bland and underwhelming, I wish it had tasted better. The broth itself was enjoyable. The spring rolls, dumplings, and chicken and broccoli were not very special either. I did not like that every table already had a bunch of utensils to grab, it just didn't seem very sanitary to me. I don't think I would come back here.

Very nice staff, quick, nice broth, thank you again

As many have reported, this is quite a gem! The broth is flavorful and appetizers are delish. The owner is very accommodating. Whenever I'm in the area, this is the place to go. Thank you and keep up the great work, Bo Ne

Can we talk about Bo Ne real quick? I have been here a handful of times ( I keep forgetting to check in) and I get the same thing every time because I literally crave it for months in between visits. I don't know what it is about the grilled pork that is so flavorful and delicious. The dish seems so simple, yet it's amazing. When I get take out, I do a side of Mayo with it, which may seem strange but trust me it works.

The first pho I ever tasted was at Viet Pho, and I thought wow, what a discovery, I'll be eating pho all over the place if it's always this good. It's not. Having been to a number of other Vietnamese places, it is no exaggeration that I have never had pho anywhere that was even close to being as good as Viet Pho. For example, I once ordered pho somewhere else and was bluntly told they did not offer vegetable broth. Which I found impossible to believe, because Vietnamese cuisine is known for being super vegetarian friendly. At Viet Pho, no such problem. The options for my vegetarian partner seem endless. Me, I start with the veggie broth, add in the vermicelli (you can ask for extra, they won't mind), finishing off with shrimp. I find that going with the vegetable broth makes the entire combination lighter, brighter even. A very clear base, accentuating everything else in the bowl. The shrimp, ample, firm and excellent. The vermicelli maintains its texture throughout, never turning mushy as I've found at other places. Top with as many bean sprouts as you can squeeze in, add a dash or two of hot sauce, and you're set. My go-to appetizer is the fresh roll - shrimp please (you may sense a pattern). Chewy outside, crisp inside, the dipping sauce delectable. I've also tried their crunchy vegetable assortment appetizer, and though it is intended to be shareable, I wasn't in the mood to share, and consumed the entire plate myself. Viet Pho is an easy-going, modest enterprise, trafficking as much in take-out as it does the dine-in crowd. Though the space is on the small side, a banquette lining the wall sets off the dining area, kicking it up a notch from what you find at many take-out places. True, the center of the seating area serves as a runway for the constant stream of meals heading out the door for pick-up, so things can get a bit bustling. In fact ... I wish I had asked for her name. On a busy Saturday afternoon, the dining area as well as all the take-out was being managed by one and only one server. She was a dynamo, always on the go, back and forth across the floor, handling everything all by herself. Something to see, actually. The modest strip-mall exterior of Viet Pho might make it easy to miss, but don't. I'm pretty sure you'll like what you find inside.

The crispy chicken feet was a huge hit. It had the perfect crisp and was spicy, salty, and sweet (personally, this is my holy trinity of flavors). I think this would be a great way to introduce chicken feet to people who haven't had it before. The beef salad was super refreshing, and I appreciated the copious amounts of beef and different vegetables, especially banana blossom. I've had chicken in this type of salad growing up but this tender beef is a game changer. Everything else was great but those were the highlights for me. Biting into the small summer roll ("Garden Roll") was the opposite of the refreshing crisp, pop-of-herbs & vegetable bite, I expect. Peanut sauce was OK. Banh mi didn't seem to be dressed and had no jalapenos, but did have a sprig (1) of cilantro. Dominant flavor came from the sesame seeds on the roll. Sauce for the salad was a one dimensional - a thin sugar syrup. Another bad meal in a trend of bad meals in this area. So who do I blame - the restaurant or the customers who ensure that bland food like this continues to be output ? Because, after all, a restaurant needs to please its customers to stay in business. Maybe the restaurant should post a warning or offer an option for authentic food. Oh, also... When I was trying to place the order through the website, it tells me orders are not being accepted. Then I'm sent to DoorDash to place the order. Seriously!? I used the phone.
