    #16 Combination Pho
    Michael L.

This place was one of my favorites pre-Covid, and I just haven't been back. This Saturday and I walked in about 12:30 as the only customer. The greeter-server was friendly and prompt. As I sat down (I was invited to choose my own seat) I surveyed the dining room. Nothing in decor stands out, but I was impressed with how spotlessly clean everything is. I always think that the front of the house reflects in the back, so I would assume they take equal care of sanitation in the kitchen. I orderrrd #16, the special pho dish. I was surprised the bowl had almost more sliced beef and other protein as noodles. After 1 o'clock other customer, 4 tables came in. They were all greeted and served as promptly as I was. My food was delicious and more than I could finish. I think Pho 95 is back on my favorites list.

Got some Vietnamese food in St. Charles. It seems there's many pho restaurants that have been opening. Pho 95 is another of these. Best thing to get here obviously but there's also a few other items. The service can be slow but they work hard mostly. Checked it out before coming and it sounded like it was good. It's one of the many Asian places around here. The bowls are big so you're getting a lot for the price. Anyway it's not even that crazy. It's about $13 for pho. Each of us got the Pho Chay. It's made with a vegetarian broth, the only one of the phos to have it. This also has basil, bean sprouts, and jalapeños. Can be kind of plain as is. The hoisin sauce and hot sauce adds kick. Besides the pho there's also various milk teas and such beverages. The food also includes ribs and vermicelli. Of course pho is what we wanted and got. Those not wanting it can got plenty of other things. Has quite a lot of Vietnamese classics. It's closed Sundays. They have one of the pho that's okay for vegans and vegetarians.

We ate at Pho 95 on Route 64/Main Street in Saint Charles, Illinois, and found it to be very good. The service was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. We had four orders of the same dish, Bun Tom Nuong Cha Glo and an order of hot tea. The dish was delicious and fresh tasting. The noodles, vegetables and fish sauce were very good. We had mixed feelings about the shrimp, however. The seasoning was very good but shrimp appeared over cooked, very dry, and lacking in texture. The egg rolls were very flaky and delicious, but had minimal filling inside. The hot tea was lukewarm and very weak in flavor. Unlike other Vietnamese restaurants that we've attended, Pho 95 has more of an American sports bar ambiance. There are three TVs in the dinning room which was highlighting current news involving updates on war and politics during our dinner hour. We found the TVs to be distracting and not contributing to our dining experience. The only indication that this was a Vietnamese restaurant was name Pho 95, the menu, and two or three pictures hanging on the wall. If you are a sports fan who loves Vietnamese food, this might be the restaurant for you.

After the local Vietnamese restaurant closed due to Covid, I didn't know where I would get my pho cravings. I stumbled upon this place and I'm so glad I did! The restaurant is phenomenal! I've come here several times now and my experience has always been a positive one. The staff here is very nice and the area is always kept clean. I usually get the combination pho and it's very tasty and delicious! There's a lot of people who put sriracha and/or hoisin in the broth. But I like to put that on a separate dish to dip the meat in. Definitely add in the toppings such as the bean sprouts, basil and jalapeños (if you want a bit of heat) and a squirt of lime to give it that extra fresh flavor. The broth is amazing as it without those toppings. This is now my go-to spot for pho and whenever I get the craving for it - and it's quite often - you'll see me at this place.

I dropped by after class and had a craving for pho. The food was delicious and the broth was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this local restaurant as it provides consistency with the food, the service, and the prices as well.

Banh Mi Dac Biet (Special Vietnamese Sandwich with ham, pate, vietnamese butter, pickled vegetables, jalapeños and cilantro)

This place is only about 10 minutes away from my house, but this was my first time here. The restaurant is located at the end of the strip mall, tucked away in the corner. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant looked very clean and the decor reminded me of the Vietnamese restaurants in Argyle. I could instantly smell the comforting smell of Pho broth that filled the restaurant. There was a good amount of people there; more than I was expecting at 1:30 on a Saturday in St. Charles, IL. While this place is obviously named after their pho, my boyfriend and I decided to try different items on their menu. For an appetizer, my boyfriend ordered Goi Cuon (Spring Rolls), which were pleasantly light and simple. The peanut sauce that it comes with had a balanced flavor that went well with the spring rolls. You can't really go wrong with spring rolls as an appetizer! Next, my boyfriend ordered Soda Hot Ga, since it was something different and seemed interesting to him. It was an interesting flavor that grows on you the more you drink it. It is sweet and refreshing! I ordered a Banh Mi Dac Biet because I was craving one. It really hit the spot and I really enjoyed the bread they use. One thing that I noticed about some Vietnamese restaurants is that their banh mi seems lacking to me because the bread is too crusty for my liking; but the one at Pho 95 is just how I like it! My only complaint about the sandwich is that it did not have as much Cha Lua (Vietnamese ham) as I like. What the sandwich lacked in fillings, it made up with in flavor! I will definitely be coming back for a banh mi whenever I am craving one! Last, but not least, my boyfriend ordered the Bun Bo Hue. I tried the broth and it was very hearty, the kind of soup that you want to warm your stomach with on a cold winter day. It was a good mix of spicy and umami, but I personally like my Bun Bo Hue with a little more lemongrass flavor. Although it's not quite as good as my mom's (inside joke), we both still really enjoyed it and I will be back. I would definitely recommend this place! It is super authentic and the food is a great deal for what you pay for!

My wife and I were in St Charles and we were looking for a Chinese restaurant to stop and eat at. In our search we found a Vietnamese restaurant called Pho 95. Neither of us have ever eaten at a Vietnamese restaurant so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did. It was amazing! We started out with an order of Cha Gio (Egg Rolls). The egg rolls came 3 halfs to an order. They were very hot, crispy, and very tasty. For our main dish, my wife had Bun Tom Nuong Cha Gio (Vermicelli rice noodles with grilled shrimp and an egg roll). Now my wife is weird about trying new things but she really liked this dish. She even said she wouldn't mind coming back again for this meal. Now I do have to mention her dish did come with a side of fish sauce that she didn't like. But she did say the rest of the meal was wonderful. For my meal, I had the Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet (spicy hue-style noodle soup with Vietnamese ham, sliced pork, beef, and broiled blood. Now, I myself have never eaten blood but it was part of the dish so I had to try it. It was amazing! My dish came with a side plate of bean sprouts, red cabbage, and fresh basil. I added these ingredients to my soup and it made it that much better. All the different flavors. Again it was amazing! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely stop at Pho 95 again. There are so many great looking items on the menu I would love to try. The staff was awesome. Our waitress asked if we ever had Vietnamese food before? When we told her no she started to explain what some of the items on the menu were. Very nice. And the restaurant was very clean also.

Located in the strip mall. Food very authentic and flavors are not overpowering. Pho broth is very tasty and "solid"-not watery . Smalts- is great and perfectly fried. Everything from crab Rangoon to wings tasted great! Furik approved! Thumbs up

Cue pho pun - Pho-Nomenal! This restaurant has been around for a year, but I am just now getting around to trying it. My friends all raved about this place and it lived up to the hype. The place is huge with tons of tables. The people working here were nice. Pho comes in 2 different sizes, medium and large. Other things on the menu includes egg rolls, chicken wings, sandwiches, egg noodle soup, vermicelli and rice dishes. I say this place comes in 2nd to Pho Ha in Glendale Heights. Medium Pho with rare steak and meatballs $8.50 - Delicious! The broth is great and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The serving size is large, I can't eat it all in one sitting. Pho 95 Banh mi $4.50 - This house special Vietnamese sandwich was fresh and tasty. It has ham, pate & pork roll, and head cheese. Ice coffee $4 - Strong and yummy! It might have kept me from falling asleep that night. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . ( ` - ` - ' - ' ' - - - ' ' ( _ / . _ ) - ' ( _ \ _ )

Do they have a vegetarian/vegan Pho yet? They said they only had animal stock based soups the last time I called...

What's also unique was the fact that they kept their soup spoons and their regular spoons and chopsticks in this wooden box and then another peculiarity was you had to get the condiments of basil chili pepper bean sprouts and lime up in a tray versus for them to bring it to you. The line in the basil didn't seem that fresh which is why I was a little disappointed other than that it was okay. I don't know if I would come here more often but there are other places I tried that are Vietnamese in which the pho had more flavor and was better. I probably would come here for their dim sum

Portions are on the large side - even the papaya salad is a meal. I got the peach lemonade, vegetable spring rolls and the tofu, vegetable and noodles, which turned out to be a soup, basically Vietnamese ramen. The spring rolls are tasty and come with peanut sauce; the vegetable broth was savory with lots of baby bok choy, plenty of noodles and cubes of fried tofu - it was even better with some of the homemade hot sauce, which I highly recommend. The lemonade comes in a bubble tea disposable cup and contains tiny pieces of fruit - very fruity, not very citrusy. Service was friendly and very personable, which helps if you're serving 16 people.
