We stopped by here on a perfect "pho" weather day (cold and rainy evening) after a long day of traveling, and this place didn't disappoint. We ordered the seafood pho and bun bo hue. I ordered the smaller portion of the seafood pho; however both items looked similarly sized, I'm not sure if that was expected. The pho tasted really good. The broth was great, lots of flavor. The food was served quickly, and the staff was friendly.

I took a gamble without looking at the reviews.. I'm not sure if it's just what I got but I was not impressed. The rice plate with short ribs sounded really good, but I've never had tougher meat in my life. I feel like my jaw is still tired from chewing. Maybe other options are good but I wouldn't come back. I had pho here last weekend after reading some amazing reviews on here. I ordered the #8 and it was not the best, not the worst. The soup was boiling hot, so that was amazing. The broth was just ok, not that flavorful. I probably won't be coming back unless I'm in the area and don't know what else to eat.

Nice hot bowl of soup to keep warm. The rice noodles were plentiful and cooked normally, so the longer they sit in the broth, they get a little overcooked for my taste. I would try to eat it faster next time. The rare steak and meatballs were both pretty good/standard. Very filling. The fried egg rolls were fine. Nicely crispy. Lots of filling inside. Friendly and fast service.

Visited Pho Lyfe's San Jose location with a friend back in November and really enjoyed it. Their beef pho was excellent. Even the small size was huge and incredibly filling. The broth was rich, flavorful, and comforting, and the portion size definitely did not disappoint. I ordered my rare beef on the side, which let me keep it not overcooked. Adding this review now since the San Jose location has closed, but it was absolutely worth a visit while it was around. If you come across this Pho Lyfe location, it's definitely worth checking out.

They moved locations! The last location was close to home and it was my go to spot. There are a few (welcomed) changes, or upgrades dare I say? However, you may want to consider checking the map first because, google maps was a bit wonky and tried to get me turn into the McDonald's drive through. The menu has expanded! They have a beef rib pho now that caught my eye. The prices are around $17-19, but the portions are massive. There are a handful more appetizers as well. The broth has so much depth. Chicken pho, beef pho, bun bo hue... all the broths are great. There is so much more space and definitely getting more foot traffic than the last spot. Currently, beer is not available despite it being on the menu. A bit further for me now, but still my go to spot west of SJC (airport).

This is the best place for pho! oMG! This is a mom and pop pace that cooks delicious and authentic Vietnamese food! I had to find a new pho place since my old one was under new management and the food has gone so down in quality I could not eat there anymore! The ambiance is simple and tried and true. No frills with decoration here! The young man takes your order without writing anything down and gets your order right! The prices are affordable as well! The pho is a beef based broth that is so flavorful and delicious! It is addicting and I usually finish every drop! Their spring rolls are so fresh and tasty! Their Thai iced tea is not overly sweet and has the right amount of cream! I highly recommend you try this spot if you are in the Santa Clara area!

Stopped by this spot after a long day of sourcing without looking anything up. We were nearby and just needed something to eat before heading back into the city. The location is in a plaza with a good-sized parking lot shared with a market and a few other restaurants, so finding a spot was easy. It was a warm day and we were hoping to cool off inside, but it felt stuffy since the air conditioning was not working. The menu is simple and easy to navigate with all the basic dishes. I was happy to see bo bia, one of my favorite fresh rolls. It tasted good, but the portion was small and the dipping sauce was watery and lacking flavor. The rare steak pho had a nice broth and a solid portion of noodles, though I wish there had been more meat. The combination rice plate came out big and had a good mix of items. Was able to add two egg rolls as well! I enjoyed most of it, but the pork chop leaned too sweet and could have used more char for balance. The food here works well for people who want something quick and simple. The staff were efficient and you pay at the front when you are done. There are signs about it, but some people missed them and waited at their tables trying to grab the attention of the front staff. Once your food arrives, they let you enjoy your meal without interruption. One of my favorite parts was the huge TV playing WWE. This is not a fancy spot, but it hits the mark for a casual meal when you are in the area and just want something filling and familiar.

Pho Lyfe is in a convenient location next to a Korean market with plenty of parking and it's very spacious inside. It's quite dark though and the booth we chose had a huge rip in the seats. Service here isn't the best, a bit spotty, and I love to order a side of white onions and that didn't get relayed and had to ask for it twice after I got my bowl of pho. However, the pho broth was piping hot which is a huge plus for me. Also for a small it is a very good portion, lots of noodles and plenty of meat. In comparison to other pho restaurants their small bowl is equivalent to a large bowl. The steak wasn't the most tender but still pretty good.

Tried this place on a whim last Friday after running some errands and was pleasantly surprised. Didn't even look up reviews beforehand. There's not too many pho options on the west side of the South Bay and even less so in Santa Clara. For the area, I was pretty damn satisfied with my bowl of pho. Humbly tucked away inconspicuously in the Super KyoPo Plaza, this restaurant is a nice (& huge) hole in the wall that has a ton of empty seating. Old school WWF reruns on the TV, bright lighting, mirrors throughout. Service is really lax. Makes for a nice lunch before/after a grocery run. I was greeted and seated immediately, ordered large Pho Dac Biet and it arrived within minutes. Broth was piping hot, meats were tasty, noodles cooked right. No red flags. Soup was a bit MSG heavy but honestly really not as bad as recent reviewers are making it out to be. Better than Tay Ho, House of Pho, VPho, Phonomenal, and Pho Lynn. Not on the same level as Pho Lovers, Pho San Jose, or Pho This Way at the time of this review. 03/21/25 As someone that eats pho nearly every week, this is a respectable bowl at a moderate price. I even DoorDash'd a bowl today just to test their consistency. Nearly as good as in-store and no markup on DoorDash. It's going into my rotation now. 4/5 would come back and recommend.

I have to come back here another time! I'm told that this restaurant used to be smaller and that…read morethey've expanded. The bahn cuon here is really good -- the rice noodle is so fresh and soft and chewy. This was my favorite and the variety was so appreciated as well! It's also surprisingly filling and I would definitely get this next time I'm here. The fish sauce was also delicious as well. (this is in reference to the dish Banh Cuon Tay Ho Dac Biet) Bahn Beo were good sizes and nicely steamed. I wish there was a bit more sauce because I was running out at the end. Toppings are appropriately sized as well Personal take, I didn't really enjoy the fried pork rind topping as much and would have liked more shrimp, but once again, personal preference. I didn't quite enjoy the Hu Tieu, but my friend liked the soup! It's a little too plain for me. I do love the feeling and texture of eating thick, round rice noodles. The banh xeo that came on the side was hard to crunch through, I felt like it was probably sitting on the side for a while. Vibes were nice -- there's a call button to ask for service. Menu has a lot of items as well (e.g. pho, rice plates, etc), so there's something for everyone if you come with a big group! Our server was also really attentive and sweet -- he came by and asked if we wanted additional dishes/bowls since we were sharing food!

I promise... I'm not a hater. I'm really just telling it how it is. The quality has gone down over…read morethe years, while the prices keep going up. But I'll let y'all be the judge. Let's get into it. B1. Bánh Cuốn Tây Hô Đặc Biệt The only solid item on this combination plate was the ground pork floursheet. Soft texture, flavorful pork, and a good balance with the black fungus. The yam tempura and mung bean tempura, however, were pretty below average. No crunch, little to no flavor, and they tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. The ground shrimp floursheet was disappointing. There was barely any shrimp and mostly just flour sheet. I was sitting there wondering, "Where's the shrimp?!" The fermented pork roll was cool. It was definitely fermented because it had a strong, sour pork aftertaste. Not bad, though. T2. Cha Giờ Thịt Nướng This vermicelli bowl was not it. The pork had the classic lemongrass aftertaste, but it was very light. The texture was also dry, and the portion was pretty sad. It was essentially a salad with noodles, five pieces of pork, and 2 small egg rolls. Egg rolls were skip-worthy.. they barely had any filling. And don't even dare try their pho here either. Sources: Trust me. Yelpers, where are all the great Vietnamese restaurants at in SJ?!

I feel like this goes a long way in the food industry and they crushed that aspect. Great decorations and few inside as well. I forgot to take pics because it was a quick visit but was very nice I got the strawberry yogurt milk tea. Very very good. Obviously it's strawberry and milk so not super crazy but I enjoyed this a lot because they used fresh strawberries mixed in with it! I also got the crispy tofu , a solid salt n pepper tofu with a peanut dipping sauce. I liked the sauce but maybe would have preferred something a little lighter. Like a sweet and sour or something. Either way still good.

I wanted to order before they go on break. I placed a pickup order for Pad Thai, Fried Rolls,…read morePapaya Salad, and Lemongrass Beef. The Lemongrass Beef was my favorite dish! It was super flavorful, perfectly spiced, and the "beef" texture was on point. I always order the Papaya Salad and typically love it, but today's sauce was a bit sweeter than usual. I still enjoyed the crispy green papaya and fresh basil, I just wish the sauce was the same as before. The Pad Thai was not for me. While the portion was huge, it didn't have the flavor and authenticity I was expecting. I wouldn't order it again and gave it away since I didn't plan on eating more. The vegan fried rolls were good and they arrived crispy, but I wouldn't get them again because the inside had something sweet, and I didn't like the sauce. I'll still order from here because I like most dishes I've tried, but there are definitely some items I ordered today that I won't be getting again.
