I typically eat pho in SJ since the best restaurants are there such as Pho Duoi Bo, Pho Papa or Pho Dao but I found Pho To Chau because it's in between my two workplaces. Discovered it maybe a year ago and have been back plenty of times because it's delicious! The broth is rich in flavor. I'd argue the best broth I've had in South Bay. The thit Nam which is flank I think? And beef balls are tender and they are quite generous with the meats. The noodles have a nice bite and stay decently al dente considering their thinness. All in all solid ingredients and flavor all around. I'd probably say this is my #1 favorite spot in the South Bay now. Close tie is Pho Duoi Bo

I've only ever ordered via DoorDash when we visit Santa Clara. We end up ordering at least twice every long weekend visit. The food is THAT good! They are always insanely generous when you ask for extra veggies and pickles. Don't hesitate to try this restaurant. We've never been disappointed with any of the dishes.

Most Vietnamese places are really good in the San Jose area. This one in particular is a very good choice. It is highly rated and recommended by yelpers. It is for good reason, the pho noddles are outstanding and very fresh. The bun(s) and rice dishes are great too. I love when the bun noodles are served warm. The service is great and very friendly. There are plenty of seats and business is good. We got a chance to watch a World Cup match as well. Afterwards, you can go next door to Stans famous donuts that are under $3 a donut. Enjoy!

cute new-ish viet spot in santa clara! the interior is super clean and new but still p cozy bc of the booths. they have pho but also a ton of rice & vermicelli options! payment is at the desk at the back and you can also order to go at the kiosk, so i'd say it's more of a casual place. pricing is good, entrees were mostly under $20! the servers were sweet and the food came out fast as well. my friend and i and i tried 43 (pic 1) and 37 (pic 2) and i think it was quite good!! mine had the woven vermicelli which was well cooked but still chewy and fun to eat ... the veggies were very fresh with plenty of pickled carrots and radish. the meat was pretty juicy and well seasoned but more on the well done side. overall solid spot for a casual meal, but i will need to return to assess their pho as well!!

First time trying this since it's opened. This place is bright, spacious and clean. Came for dinner and we got seated right away. Ordered Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu. Both are decent and meat to noodles ratio is ok. However, the soup of the Bun Bo Hue is way too salty. Not sure if I'll order it again. Will try other dishes next time.

Broth was hot with a good amount of flavorful oil on top. The broth was good. Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.

Pho to Chau 999 on Homestead is a new location in Santa Clara from a popular pho restaurant in Mountain View. It's a fairly large space with plenty of tables next to Sumiya and Stan's Donuts. I ordered a regular-sized portion of the Pho with Filet Mignon and fresh noodles (banh tuoi). The beef was thin and soft. Easy to chew and paired nicely with the fresh noodles in the broth, which was just right, not too hot. I also ordered a sugar cane juice (nuoc mia). It tasted fresh and had the standard citrus (kumquats I think) to help balance the flavor. Everything came out quickly, in less than five minutes. If you're looking for good pho and you can't get down to Little Saigon, Pho to Chau is a nice alternative.

Some of the bet spring rolls I've had. Yummy pho, fast and nice service. Would come again.

Broth was tasty, but the portion's ratio was off. There wasn't enough noodle or meat and for $17 on a regular bowl, it was a bit of a rip off. If they could give a more fair amount of noodles + meat I'd like this place a lot more! Also the tap water tasted really bad. Service and restaurant looked just fine in general.

I found this place in a yelp search. I wanted a rich beef broth on a cold and rainy day. I was greeted with great kindness. My waitress took time to show me some of the favorites on the menu. I've always wanted to try ox tail so I settled for their #2Tai Duoi Bo. It is a rice noodle soup with rare steak and ox tails. They serve it in the usual style with hoisin sauce and chili oils/sauces and also with lemon, bean sprouts, jalapeño and fresh basil. The small is big. I could not have eaten a large. It came with plenty of rice noodles and meat with garnishes of green onions. The broth was rich and beefy and did not let me down. I enjoyed the ox tails and meat. It was a great choice for someone who wants a beef fix. This was amazing. The restaurant has plenty of seating and is clean and gracious with space. The staff is friendly. All in all this was a wonderful experience ce. I will be back.

Service is okay, I has to ask to order and get more water. I had 5 and my son had 21 and it was delish. The broth is the best broth. We ordered boba smoothies which came out after we finished eating. The place is clean and plenty of seating. Overall I would come again the pho is so good, it makes up for the poor service There

I was very impressed by the pho dac biet! I lived in socal for a few years and have been trying to find a place that could compare to the pho shops ive had there. The broth tasted very authentic and portion was massive. I thought the spring rolls were decent, but not anything special. I personally wouldn't get the vietnamese coffee from here again though as something about it didn't hit the way it's supposed to, so it's not worth $6. I would still love to come back for the pho dac biet! Service was good too! Very friendly staff.

Good Pho for me ahaha, I was just randomly craving pho and it was actually really solid. My friend also really liked it and they removed cilantro for her because she has that soap gene. I liked how they didn't overfill the bowl with noodles and for a normal size I was satisfied. The meat was also great . I definitely have to come back to try more food outside of the beef pho. The place looks really nice to like a modern spin on a viet restaurant. On a random weekday they weren't very busy and I would come again. The service good as well. Food didn't take long to come out.

They have also opened a location in Cupertino that is more convenient for me. Adding Mian to this plaza definitely livened it up, it was so difficult finding parking and then there was an hour wait when we joined the waitlist. We wandered around Grocery Outlet and Savers to pass the time. I came with a group of 6 people. We ordered the sichuan spicy fries and fried chicken cutlet to share. The fries were the spiciest item I had that day, wow! I ordered the Sichuan chicken cold noodles, extra spicy. They were not spicy at all. I left everyone at the table try them and they all agreed it was not spicy. Kind of disappointing, I expected them to be spicier than the fries at least. My partner had the chengdu zajiang noodles, mild spicy. They were good, the signature dish of the restaurant. I would return, but their spice levels are very inconsistent.

It feels just like a warm hug in a bowl! Their cold noodles, both spicy and non-spicy versions, are refreshing and perfect for cooling down summer heat. We also almost always order the mo deum soo yook for extra protein. It's a combination plate with boiled beef brisket, tail, and tendons. You will have to season them yourself with salt and pepper, but beef is always so soft and tender. I highly recommend ordering this only if you're dining with a group of 3 or more because the portion is huge! After finishing your meal, they'll serve you a yakult, super yummy and great for digestion (super thoughtful of them) They're busy and almost always have a waitlist, especially during peak dinner hours. From my experience, the longest I've waited was about 45 minutes, but normally it's only around 20-30 minutes. There's a boba shop nearby where you can grab a drink while waiting. I like stinky tofu and used to get it at Southland Flavor Cafe before they closed down. The Southland version didn't compare to the Michelin-starred place in Taipei, but it was good, if not quite stinky as I would have liked. I didn't have high expectations for this stinky tofu, because it looked like a different type and was in what appeared to be a soupier broth, based on the poster, but went ahead and got two orders to-go, sight unseen, as I knew every member of the family would want to try it. When I cracked open the container, I was hit with the strong waff of the fermented tofu and it wasn't the soupy broth, but more of a drier sauce, like closer to the Michelin stuff in,Taipei, if not drier. It was a touch spicy, and the stinky level was stronger than version I got at Southland. If Southland was 5/10 and the Michelson was a 10/10, I would give this a solid 8/10.
