Located in Cupertino Village, parking is plentiful but spots can be difficult to find during peak hours. The amniance was average/loud. Food came out quick. Flavor was good. The sauteed eggplants were so yummy. Overall, Apple Green Bistro is good. Service is quick and food is good.

I come here every once in a while, and it's also super solid for savory food, especially Sichuan flavors. The most recent time I came it was during Chinese new years and they had some bundles with less Sichuan flavors but it was still great (e.g. sweeter dishes). Was quite busy and packed when I went.

The food here tastes like homemade cooking, and the portions are pretty generous -- but everything is very greasy. Cold Noodle with Chicken - 5/5 Highly recommend this one! The noodles felt like they just came out of the fridge, super refreshing and perfect for a hot day. The chicken was tender and smooth. The sauce wasn't too spicy and had a nice hint of sweetness. Szechwan Style Shredded Potato - 2/5 Tastes just like something you'd get at home. It's sour and spicy, but very oily -- especially once it cools down. The greasiness really stands out. Grilled Eggplant with Meat on Sizzling Plate - 3/5 At first bite, it was great -- crispy outside, soft inside, and the meat was nicely seasoned. But once it cooled off, it just tasted way too greasy.

We always have a great experience at Apple Green Bistro. The service is fast and the food is consistently good. The fried fish is something we recommend if you're craving something crispy. We also ordered the potatoes with Sichuan chili oil and coriander. Small portion, but perfect as an appetizer and the flavors complemented each other nicely. We tried the fish soup as well, which came out still boiling. It had that classic numbing spice. Good flavor, though we couldn't finish it because of the intensity. Overall, solid food and great service every time!

Very good Chinese restaurant in Cupertino! Though as other reviewers have pointed out, the dishes tend to the more greasy side, that's exactly what makes this taste so good and authentic. We ordered a variety of dishes and all of the portion sizes were really good. The fish was definitely a must get - it is a tad bit spicy though!

Best Cupertino Chinese restaurant! I give it 5 starts. The food was just EXCELLENT The best Kung Pao Chicken I've tried, hands down. The cuisine is mandarins style. If you like spicy food, this is your place. This restaurant uses the scan QRcode system, which means you have to place your order using your phone. The outside does not look anything special to be honest, but the food! Oh my!!! The best. Ordered Items: 1.) Kung Pao Chicken 2.) Chinese Watercress 3.) side Steamed Rice 4.) Sprite (can) Total bill $39-$40 (without tip) With tip my total was $47 WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY

I wonder if we ordered all the wrong things. Everything was super greasy and gross. I got terrible heart burn from eating here. We were really excited about this place too. The decor is clean and bright. Qr to order. Staff was okay friendly.

    Vegetable Tofu in Brown Sauce

To me, the best dish was the vegetable tofu in brown sauce, because it was flavorful enough to enjoy various kinds of flavors. The establishment is clearly a Chinese restaurant that many would visit on a random basis, as it is located amongst a lot of stores that have Chinese on their titles or related to Chinese culture in an outlet format in Cupertino. I thought the Kung Pao Chicken was pretty standard and was good enough to make myself full. The black mushroom with vegetables was unfortunately below my expectations as the mushrooms had strong flavor while the vegetables didn't have any, causing a flavor imbalance, while the dish itself didn't have enough juice or broth to allow some mushroom umami flavor to flavor up the vegetables. The sesame bread with green onion was pretty thick and I mostly used it to accompany my dishes instead of rice, and since it was flavorless itself, it worked out fine. However, if one was expecting it to taste like the scallion pancakes that are popular in China, then one could be disappointed. Since there were other Chinese restaurants around the area, if I make it around the area again, I would most likely try another spot instead.

I came here with my parents and it was a no-frills chill Chinese place! Good: - Quick place, the food came out minutes after we ordered! - I liked the seafood hot plate with tofu - The A choy dish was healthy tasting, not too oily - Dim place, quiet, and good for catchups Bad: - Not much service, takes a while to flag someone down Overall, it is a nice place for quick authentic Chinese food! Reasonable price wise as well.

We used to come here at least every month before pandemic and just came back tonight. We had a great experience. Food 4/5 We had the following: - Cauliflower & pork hotpot 5/5 - mushrooms chicken 4/5 - beef with peppers and cilantro 4/5 - fish with tofu 4/5 - spicy cold noodles (free with cash purchase over $55) 4/5 (mostly noodles but tasty and free!) - beef chow fun 4/5 - green beans 4/5 - walnut prawns 4/5 (prefer less sweet but a favorite) Above came out to be $160 for 8 of us. Very reasonably priced and satisfying with no leftovers and just enough. Service 4/5 Used link to order but requested menu to see bigger pictures. Service was adequate for Chinese restaurant. Ambiance 4/5 3 large tables and clean restaurant

Prices have been going up over the years where only the monthly special is enticing for the value. Servers were friendly and checked in on us, but it took 25 minutes for our food to show up at our table after we ordered. The only consistent experience I've had are the oranges at the end of the meal. They are always amazingly sweet, juicy, and comes off the peel easily. I don't usually enjoy oranges, but I love the ones HomeEat offers! Will be back if in the area, but hope kitchen service will be quicker in the future.

With so much ramen competition in the Bay Area, I had to try it out for myself and Uzumakiya's unfortunately does not stand out. It's your standard tonkotsu ramen, but you can definitely find better Hakata-style ramen elsewhere. My personal favorite being Ramen Hajime. To speak more on the ramen itself, the broth leaned more on the thin, watery side rather than the rich, creamy pork bone broth you'd expect from a good tonkotsu. It was also a bit salty. Noodles were fine, al dente. The waiter kindly explained that the only difference between the "Tokusei" (deluxe) ramen and the classic version was an added egg, extra pork belly, and seaweed. That didn't feel worth the additional $5 to me, so I opted for the classic black garlic ramen and added an egg for $2 instead. Overall, I don't think transitioning to ramen was the best move, especially because their udon was so special. I've genuinely never had udon like theirs in the Bay Area, which makes it even more disappointing that they no longer serve it on their normal menu. I'm sure many others feel the same way. I used to come frequently back when they specialized in udon, but I don't think I'll be returning unless they bring it back or if it's for their Aburi Shime Saba. Wishing Uzumakiya all the best regardless!

For protein choice, I would recommend not going with the crunchy pork if you don't like chewing on harder fried chunks. The flavor is good but a little hard to bite through. We were looking to catch up in person on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. All tables were full and there were a couple of other parties waiting inside when we walked in, but the wait for a table was not bad at all. It is on the noisier side since the clientele is primarily Asian, and service tends to be short since that's what would be considered authentic. I got the beef noodle soup with the wide noodles since it was a chilly day and I wanted something warm. In the past I've gotten the tomato and eggs sauce noodles, which was very tasty and not a bad option for a hot day as the noodles themselves come out cold. Make sure to bring some floss if you get the beef noodle soup, some of the meat gets stuck in my teeth every time. Service does tend to be short so don't expect anyone to wait around for you to order or extra pleasantries. But this isn't surprising given the type of restaurant so it didn't detract from the meal. The check comes to you when you're about done so there is no need to flag anyone down after finishing. I would definitely revisit if I have cash on hand and am in the area. Then you pick your toppings - a large variety of both meat and veggie options! It comes with a little veggies (spinach, corn, mushroom, bamboo) too. During the entire meal, nobody followed up and I didn't even get water. The ordering experience overall felt rushed and unfriendly. After I finished eating, I asked for a to-go box. They just dropped it on the table, and while I was packing my food, someone immediately came over asking for payment, so I had to stop what I was doing. After years of coming here and also all restaurants in bay areas I ever had none of them asked money for a plastic bag, after paying for food and tipping, getting charged extra for a simple bag felt ridiculous, especially only finding out after payment was already done. The whole experience felt careless, unfriendly, and frustrating. It completely ruined my mood and honestly ruined my day. My friend and I also felt that their broth didn't have enough of the richness/depth that we enjoy. I'll give them another visit in a few weeks to see if they work out the few kinks. They're offering 15% off your entire bill until mid May in celebration of their grand opening!
