Dainty cuisine is the small precooked fast food location inside the food court next to 99 Ranch. It's like Panda Express but it serves way more types of Chinese food. It also has literally food from all over China including Taiwanese food. The service is good and it's part of food court so I can't complain about the atmosphere. My problem has to do with the shenjianbao. I'm SO TIRED of places that had no pedigree of shanghainese food making shanghainese food. If you don't know how shanghainese food works don't make them. Shenjianbao looks ok but it's so bad. They got the size right and they did pan fry correctly on the "wrong" side (flipped upside down which is correct). However the dough is way too thick and the filling doesn't taste right. Nothing is right about the taste. The fact they also make frozen dumplings tells me that this is not made by someone who knows about shanghainese food. The rice burrito or Taiwanese rice roll is alright and even though it's slightly expensive but we are in the South Bay. I kinda don't want to say anything bad because the food court is obviously dying and I don't want it to die but making subpar shanghainese food gets on my nerves. Just take it off your menu and concentrate on stuff you know how to make. read more

My company had a catering lunch with them and the feedback was so so. The Sichuan Spicy Chicken with Dry Pepper was too dry and too fried. The chicken was in small pieces so it made it harder to chew after deep frying. The Stir Fry Beef with Garlic came with bell pepper which I don't mind, but the beef was not in slices, it was cut in chunks, which is quite interesting. It's soft but lacking a bit of the heat from cooking. The Fish Flavored Eggplant was soaked in red chili oil though it's not very spicy; but the oil was too much, it felt almost like a gravy. It's got great flavor though and I ate a lot of it. Though my vegetarian Indian friend didn't like that flavor. The Mixed Fried Rice was labeled vegan but it has ham, shrimp, egg, and frozen veggies in it. We also had Mapo Tofu and Chinese Broccoli which I didn't try. Decided on dining at a food court inside of a Chinese supermarket due to super cold weather and with ample spaces, we parked immediately and entered. Bright and spacious food hall with 5.5 food stalls as the 5th stall is combined with 2 businesses. From dainty Cuisine, the lady took my order of 4 item bento with soup added for $1 extra. The pancake was fragrant and delicious and you can definitely taste the scallion...yes I've had this dish at other restaurants that was dull in taste. I also ordered their 2 items and 2 buns combo with rice. One bun was mixed meat while the other was vegetarian and I was surprised the vegetarian tasted a lot better. Got their 3 dishes + rice, which was pretty standard for these kind of Chinese takeout operations (a bit too oily for my tastes). Also got a beef roll pancake (牛肉卷饼), which was different in style than I was expecting - I was expecting the more Taiwanese style beef roll that comes with the sweet bean sauce inside, but this one was a more meaty / savory style. I'm not a big fan of this style, too meaty and heavy for me. read more

The food was pretty good and came out within a decent amount of time. The quesadillas type pancakes were a bit too greasy and not my favorite, but the bao were quite good. I thought they had good flavor and a good amount of filling. The food took a bit of time to come out but the staff were nice. The restaurant was also in a food court kind of area so my family and I ended up taking the food home. I think eating in the food court is fine you are looking for something quick but it seems like it could get a bit loud. In all honesty it reminds me sort of like a cafeteria with the seating areas. Came by for lunch the other day and it was a decent experience. Dainty Cuisine is located inside a food court between 99 Ranch market and CVS. Ordering is done at the tablet for food freshly cooked by the kitchen. The wait was upwards of 25 minutes after ordering. They have premade dishes where it's $13-15 for 3-4 items + rice and soup. There is a Gen Z manning the front of the house wearing loose size Large nitrile gloves. Started off with the beef wrap and it was excellent! The wrap was lightly pan fried, not too oily and the inside was filled with super juicy and flavorful beef. The two rolls are perfect for sharing! The shrimp fried rice consisted of 3 small shrimp over a huge bed of fried rice with egg. Dining options appears to be a free for all at any open table within the food court. $12/head after tax with plenty of leftovers. read more

Inside a small food court right next to the De Anza Ranch 99. It serves Chinese dishes you would usually find at some kind of deli. This place was great during its opening week. The first week everything was 40% off and the next week it was 30% off. Now though, there aren't anymore discounts but the prices are still fair. Service is a bit on the slow side, and during busy hours be expected to wait a while. I've tried most of the items here, and my favorite is the 7C BBQ Pork Pancake. The pork is really well made and the pancake isn't too overly crunchy. You can order each dish as a combo, which includes a small bowl of soup and a small side, but these have usually been sitting outside for a while and are lukewarm when you get them. Another spot to hit up in the food court next to Ranch 99 A huge variety of dumplings - they were out of the chicken and corn which is what I was eyeing . We ended up with the shrimp, pork leek which was very juicy. Also liked that the had Bao Zi (pork buns) My kids always want bao zi and despite being such a Taiwanese/Chinese area they're hard to find . Newly opened, fast-food style Chinese restaurant inside the foodcourt next to 99 Ranch Market. Pretty satisfied with the freshness of the food. Nothing I tried was overly salted, greasy or MSG-laddened. If you like your food really heavily seasoned, it may seem a bit under seasoned, but it was on point for me. The Green Onion Pancakes, Beef Wrap & Fried Chinese Leek Pockets were all quite good. All these items can often be greasy, but they weren't at all here. Only thing is that the Pockets were a bit soggy after sitting in the styrofoam container. The Pork & Scallion Steamed Dumplings were good, but not a huge standout from your usual dumplings. One huge downside though is that everything needs to be be purchased as a set meal, which typically comes with a rice porridge and a pickled vegetables or kimchee. Nothing can be purchased a la carte. For example, you can't even order just a side order of the Green Onion Pancakes a la carte. So if you want to try some different items, you'd end up with several full set meals, which is far from ideal. I asked if there was any way to reduce the price and just get the items a la carte. The answer was that they won't include the porridge and pickled veggies/kimchee if you'd rather not have them, but you'd be charged the full price either way. Frozen dumplings are on the menu, but won't be available until about a couple of weeks out. Their fresh chili sauce is good with crisp seeds. However, they don't provide any small containers for you to put it in, which is odd since this is more of a takeout spot (with shared tables with other restaurants). You'll need to open your containers and put them on your food. Hopefully this will change. There will eventually be an assortment of items on steam trays to choose from. Located inside the food court right next to Ranch 99. It's a small food court so you won't miss it but this is one of the newer cuisines. They have hot food where you can order 2-3 entrees that comes with rice. They also have frozen dumplings you can take home. They have dim sum too! I only tried their pork and scallion boiled dumplings. Paid about $15 for a dozen. Not sure if they include this for to-go orders but I dined in and they added some vegetables and porridge with my order, both delicious. Dumplings were also hot and tasty! They have your typical soy sauce, vinegar, sriracha, sauces by the register. You can order via kiosk or sometimes the worker will ring you up if it's for the hot foods. Decent value I'd say. Got all this food in the photo with tax and tip for somewhere around $15 which was 1.5 meals for me. I enjoyed it but the chicken and mushroom thing was overly salted. The seaweed salad with garlic was good! Tasted like it was freshly made with fresh garlic that was pretty strong so if you don't like garlic steer clear. The soup was a nice palace cleanser. Service was fine and the ambiance is like a cafeteria with a few food options and lots of seating. Never seen the place busy. After I sat down, one of their employees managed to assemble his lunch, sit a few seats away from me and eat, go to the bathroom, and return to work before my food arrived. After 32 minutes of no communication, I left without my food because I needed to return to work. I'm more disappointed than anything else. If you like meal sets, this place is legit for Chinese foods. Fully satisfied and worth the 5-stars review. They make awesome Shanghainese dumplings that you can buy in bulk too. Good prices. I ordered at kiosk and waited 17 minutes to get my order. This is a popular spot packed with weekday lunch customers. Lines can get loud and crowded at times. Staffers speak mainly Mandarin, but they are experienced here. Endless lines. Must give them credit for cooking great tasting foods here. You can order other meal sets too. For $12-$15, I'm sure you can find something delicious and fulfilling here. Glad I didn't have to pay extras for rice and soup. Best of all, I'm always looking for foods packed with veggies. The carrots and sweet corns were absolutely delicious and slow cooked to my liking. Pork ribs was excellent. Fried fish fillets were excellent. Spicy beef and beans good too. I loveee this place. Their meal sets are priced so well and the food reminds me of my mom's cooking. I got the green onion pancake with congee and vegetables. It was a bit lacking in flavor but that's because I chose plain foods. There are also hot sauces that are self serve so I could add my own flavor. You can order at a kiosk which made the process smooth and my food came out pretty fast. There's a lot of seating indoors and out. To be honest, we didn't give much hope on this new food vendor in this food court when we first tried their pork soup dumplings (xlb) when they first opened. But after taking our first bite....we can't help it, we are officially hooked to them. We love xlb and we tried a lot of them in the Bay Area and in Asia, so we know what a good xlb tastes like. I would say....the skin of the xlb here has room for improvement, but their meat filling and the meat juice is definitely hands down the best in the area, even DTF cannot compare. I like how their meat has a hint of sweetness to it and makes the soup so much more flavorful and well-balanced. And their xlb don't dry up! We tried many times getting takeout order or reheat it on the next day, there's still soup inside the dumpling! Same thing for their pan-fried pork buns! They use the same meat fillings so the fillings and the soup are really tasty! Becoz the meat juice is so good, it makes the bun tastes exceptional good too when it is soaked with the soup inside! Also, I like how they pan fry their buns, the bottoms are crispy but not hard and it has the pan-frying aroma when you eat it (we tried another restaurant in the area which is famous for their pan-fried buns and found their buns have hard bottom and lack of the pan-frying aroma). We also tried their beef noodles and combo meal set. The beef noodles lacks flavor and there's nothing special about it. The combo meal set that we tried are the dumplings one that comes with 1) xlb, 2) veggie and 3) porridge. Before, the quality of the combo meal was good. They gave you a bowl of legit veggie (I think it was shredded cabbage) and the porridge was thicker. But recently, the veggie had become some kind of side veggies like a mix of parsley, shredded carrots and some shredded fungi kinda thing. The porridge was also a bit watered down now. I hope the inconsistency in its quality is just temporary. But for their xlb and their pan-fried pork bun, it's still worth making that trip down to try them! read more

I didn't get sick or anything like that, but the congee and the egg drop soup that I got as part of my meal was probably the blandest soup and porridge I have ever had in my life. Literally no flavor. Not even chicken flavor. Congee is supposed to have ginger and garlic, and some kind of other flavoring. But it literally tasted as though it was rice and water. It really was astounding. It is pretty pricey for what you get. We got the shrimp fried rice and it came with three pieces of shrimp. Three. The fried rice part was good, but for $14, to get only three pieces of shrimp is really sad. This place is located in a little food court area. There is limited seating as well. The pork buns were bland. Even with the sauce, it just tasted salty with no other pork/vegetable flavor. The bao part itself was soft and fluffy though. The chicken and cheese scallion pancake was bland; the chicken in this was dry and rubbery, while the scallion pancake was thick and gummy. Reminded me of an over-microwaved quesadilla. I went on a Thursday night. It was a disappointing experience. All the tables were dirty. Looks as if no one cleaned between lunch and dinner. For three people, I ordered XLB, beef roll pancake, and pan fried beef pie. They had ran out of pan fried dumplings. The XLBs looked and tasted like the ones I get from the grocery store frozen section. The beef inside both the roll pancake and beef pie was of low quality. The meat was extremely fatty and did not taste fresh. The beef pie oozed oil and the roll pancake had too much cumin. The pancake was way too thick and lacked taste. We only ate half of the food, and left hungry. The other half went into the trash. read more

Was pleasantly surprised about the discount as it wasn't advertised. Was told they didn't have the buns, so I switched to the shepherds purse bun. It took about 25 minutes for me to get my order, though. I ate the dumplings and bun when I got home and they were pretty decent especially for the discounted prices. The dumplings were a bit too salty and the buns had meat in them when I thought it was just going to be spinach? Overall a pretty good northern Chinese cuisine place, but hopefully they can speed up their heating of the food. I'm also not sure if I got the wrong buns in the end due to the meat. read more

The food is really delicious. We have tried a few dumplings and the Xiao long baos. Very good. Everything is fairly priced and so many selections. You won't be disappointed. The lady who helped me order was really helpful. All is all a must try. I think their chive dumplings are must haves. They are best when they are fresh out of the kitchen. The pancakes are really tasty. I also contacted the business owner via Yelp and he responded promptly. Kudos to their customer service. read more

Wow the beef and cheese scallion pancake is amazing! So good that we came again the next day to get it. It's like a mix of Taiwanese braised birria inside of the most delicious tortilla but it's really their scallion pancake. Food is not bad but the lady working there needs to adjust her attitude. I just wanted to buy one pre-packed item. It took me 2 seconds to say it and for her to hear it. There was no one behind me. Instead of just helping me, she said I had to use the kiosk. I was forced to scan down the menu looking at one picture at a time and I have no idea what the item looks like since I'm getting it for a friend.
