Rare steak and brisket. The broth is excellent!

Let me begin by saying the pho is fantastic. The broth has a good color, lots of flavor. The sizes they bring you are perfect. This is one of the few places I've been that gives the perfect amount of noodles. The quality of beef is good also. I'll love when they give you the option between brisket and "fatty" brisket because you know it will be fairly lean and meaty. The service is pretty good here, very attentive and helpful. The inside is nicely dimmed enough to relax, the decor is simple and beautiful. I ordered the crispy egg rolls and I was a bit disappointed. Anywhere I have been usually gives you lettuce, cucumber and pickled carrots. Before ordering I asked for extra lettuce to wrap each one, she told me it would be extra. I was confused why since it's just lettuce but I told her I'd order it regular to see if I would require extra. When it came there were only 2 pieces of lettuce and 2 long stemmed cilantro pieces. I asked her if they normally come with other veggies like cucumber or carrot and she said this is how it comes but we add the pickled carrots inside. I was a bit disappointed since I love the fresh add ons and I knew cooked carrot did not sound the same. I tried and they were a bit sad. Great crisp but just as I suspected they were sweet from the carrot with an off texture like gritty beans. Overall, I would still come here for the pho and it's not too loud of an environment which I enjoy.

Adding another review. I absolutely love this place. Hot or cold weather you'll find me here. Pretty authentic in my opinion. I judge it by their bun bo hue and so far, by far the best I've had. Their pho soup is sooo good, and their Vietnamese coffee is really good as well. Also, have to try their egg rolls and spring rolls. Their peanut sauce is also very delicious. Often times, my friends would crave it. If you love pho and Vietnamese food, check this place out! Great for small or large groups. And service is great, food comes out fast too. Pretty good portion size as well. Till then, let's eat!

Really solid choice in the Frisco/West Plano area. They have simplified their menu in recent years to adapt but food is still pretty good. The pho is pretty good and smooth with a slight sweet taste. The rice dishes are good with the grilled pork though it's a lot more basic than the broken rice dishes you'd get in Garland. Their best dish is probably the banh xeo. Comes out very crispy and piping hot. Service is always fast and efficient. Great place to satisfy a craving for Vietnamese food in this area.

If you enjoy all of the freshness of authentic Vietnamese food and can wait a little (every seat in here is taken) PLEASE come EXPERIENCE this delicious food! If you think you love chai tea; please order the Thai tea so you can fall in love with it, like I do every time! If they miss anything, they WILL immediately fix it. Promise! Like most places, they only have a few kind waiters and waitresses. But the food makes up for it.

It's been hard for me to find good Vietnamese food that isn't all the way in Garland. I took my grandmother here who was visiting from VN and we were both extremely impressed by the service, interior decor, and MASSIVE banh xeo (that was very tasty too!). We left more than satisfied. Even the Bun Bo Hue was better than most I've had and still pretty authentic even though they cater to an American crowd. The family who owns the restaurant is also very kind! I will definitely come back when craving some nuoc mam but not wanting to drive all the way to Garland lol

We came here for the first time for Sunday lunch. It was quite packed shortly after opening but the service was quick and food came out quick. Spring rolls were nothing special but the pho dac biet is solid for this area of town. Not the best I've had but it did the trick. We will be back to try the BBH and banh xeo

Of all the times I've been here, I've only had their Bun Bo Hue. Broth always has that right amount of spice and umami. I probably can say that this isn't very traditional since they don't put pork hock and blood cube in this soup. Service can be a little slow when they are busy. It may be more expensive than some other BBH places I've been but the taste and consistency is always well worth it for the price.

Second time here, I stopped in early today to grab some Pho before heading into work. I did enjoy my food the first time around. This time my White me chicken was rather tougher than it should've been. Glad I only ordered a small bowl of Pho this time. Service was quick, and the restaurant was very clean. Once I proceeded to walk up to the counter to pay my tab. A very soft spoken young man asked, How was everything? This was exceptionally sweet of him, decent establishments still have an interests in the customers. This didn't go unnoticed. I expressed to him my thoughts. He told me, Wait right here. He went to the back (kitchen) area and came back to explain to me that the chicken may not have cooked properly and he told me my meal was on the HOUSE. Just please come back and give us another try at making things better. When restaurants want to offer quality food or quantity they've mastered the craft. I'll return again, that's for sure.

Went for a quick lunch during work. Luckily I got there right before the rush. The food was really good. The grilled pork in the spring rolls was great. I was stuffed by the end of the meal so had to just eat the pork out of the last half of the spring roll because I didn't want it to go to waste. And the pho had great flavor. Getting the check took a little while but besides that everything else was good.

Stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. The atmosphere was lively but not too crowded, and my party of 3 was seated quickly. We were impressed by their pho menu, offering up to 3 different types of beef per bowl (if you choose beef, but otherwise they have chicken and vegetarian options). We were also impressed by the 20, 30, and 40 oz portion options to accommodate different hunger levels. I didn't get to try my friend's spring rolls, but I ordered the 20 oz beef pho with brisket and fatty brisket. The broth was very tasty-- rather salty, but I still enjoyed it. My one complaint was that there was barely any meat in our bowls. Otherwise, we had a great experience.

The 3 stars was for the food. Food was good and the servings was commensurate to the price. We ordered vermicelli with grilled pork and vermicelli with grilled shrimp plus the fried spring rolls. The spring rolls were just ok, nothing great about it. The service SUCKS tho. To think we came at 3:30 pm and it is just. A group of them were just sitting there talking and they saw us come, did not approach us or anything. We had to call them so we can order. I asked for hot water with lemon and it never came. We asked for the egg rolls and it came when we are almost done with our food so we can't eat it right away coz they just made it and it was hot. Ambience was ok.

Friendly waiter, good food! I don't live in the area but heard from Vietnamese friends that they have good pho. Finally, made it to this side of town. The pho is good. Probably one of the better ones in DFW. I also ordered the sizzling crepe. You only get one but they do stuffed them with lots of bean sprouts. There were a lot more bean sprouts than meat or shrimp though. They didn't put coconut milk in their batter so it wasn't fragrant as I would have liked. It wasn't as crispy either. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. It was OK. My daughter is a vegan and they have several vegetarian choices. If you're a vegan, just ask for soy sauce instead of fish sauce. She ordered the tofu spring rolls. It was OK as the tofu wasn't marinated. It could use a little more flavor. Overall, good Viet food and good service. read more

This place is great. Great vermicelli and pho with very fresh ingredients and the service is always fast and attentive. Can get busy during lunch hour but that is usually the case with good food. Even with the crowd they are pretty fast with service. read more

The soup base is really good. My favorite dish here is the Bun Bo Hue. The only problem here is they don't give enough noodles. Honestly, noodles is really inexpensive and when you order the large bowl, you get a larger bowl. The amount of food doesn't change. Both my husband and I don't feel full when we leave. We both don't eat large portions either. I hope they fix this problem. read more

Im a Favor driver, so it's not my first Rodeo with Pho to - go orders! I have a cold , so I sent my boyfriend to pick up a to-go order here after 8PM, and the Pho broth in my Pho was not watered down. :) He said the service was polite and efficient, and that it looked clean and nice inside. We ordered a Chicken Pho, Pho with fatty brisket, Shrimp Spring rolls, Grilled pork spring rolls, fried egg rolls with pork, and Vietnamese iced coffee. Everything tasted great! I especially like the Pho beef broth and my iced Vietnamese coffee. The only things that I found that needed slight adjustment are that the fried egg rolls could have been drained a little better, and I would like to not see lettuce in the same container with anything fried in order to prevent the fried item getting soggy.They did, however , cut a small corner out of the top of the container, which seems to have mostly worked. :) I would also like to see more coffee and less ice in the Vietnamese iced coffee. Other than that, everything was as perfect as it could be.! I did not see a website, so it would be really cool if they could get one of those too if they don't already have one. This is officially my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Far North Plano! read more

Pho shizzle my new spot for V food. I had a tickle in me belly for some beef broth soup garnished with bean sprouts and onions and was satisfied with the viscosity of their concoction. Some places I can tell its watered down. Its a little too dangerous though being next door to a bubble tea joint . My 5 year old son beat me at the board game trouble. So I have to come back and try the Hu Tieu and play again. On a serious note . The Banh Xeo is hard to find this part of dfw . Its what my mom calls Vietnamese crepes.(but dressed with meat/veggies/fish sauce) read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Came in during lunch break and was seated and handed a menu. After 15 minutes, no one ever came by to take my order. The staff are clueless. Roaming around like lost sheep, so I got up and left. Management, you need to fire your waitstaff and hire competent ones! Wasted 15 minutes of my lunch break. I will never be back. Lots of other better choices when it comes to Vietnamese cusine. Like the two that was similar before you, your place will eventually close down. They also had horrible service!!!! read more

My first taste of Vietnamese food was about 20 years ago in Houston. Crispy Eggrolls wrapped in lettuce, dipped in fish sauce. It was life changing! Toda uhy I finally found that same appetizer at Pho Mac. Sooooo good! Very good Spring Rolls with peanut sauce also. Try it!!!! read more

Food is average. High priced for their portion size. I almost always order Pho at a Pho Restaurant, since that should be their special signature dish. The pho was just ok. The Bun Bo Hue soup, on the other hand, was good. The Bo Luc Lac was good tasting, however, not enough beef was given. read more

Good pho and definitely the best one in the area. Although it is no competition for pho bang in garland it is definitely very good. But do not get the BoLucLac here... it is definitely over priced and not good at all. Also doesn't taste authentic for that particular dish. But do get the pho as it was really good read more

I really enjoyed my first visit at Pho Mac. The broth was legit, flavorful but not overwhelming, and most importantly it tasted "real." The space was clean and roomy. Service was friendly. All the ingredients were fresh and my noodle was perfectly cooked. This will probably be my favorite pho place in the area just because they kept it simple as it should be but got everything right. The location is convenient for me with plenty of parking also. Will definitely come back. read more

One of my favorite pho places! The broth is delicious, staff is so friendly, and we never wait long for our food. They are very accommodating as well. I spent $8.95 for four tiny pieces spring rolls. It is too expensive and it is not worth at all. This is easy to make and I do not recommend to order this menu. Do not waste money for this wrappers. A pack of wrapper from super market is less than $2 and I bought shrimp or pork and I could get 30 pieces and enjoy the taste read more

We work in the service industry. Felt like having a good Vietnamese sandwich for lunch , so we ordered to go . We ordered about 10 sandwiches and 2 pho . The sandwiches barely had any meat , it was full of veggies and no Vietnamese mayo at all . Each sandwich was $6 compared to what you can get down the street for $4 . I couldn't make up my mind on what to drink so I just asked for a Sprite. Minutes later, she brought me a fresh lemon spritzer that immediately helped me to breathe. The noodles were the perfect size and consistency, and to my excitement, were NOT rice noodles, which I have never been a fan of in my pho. The beef was tender, and the spice level was perfect. I only added the extra condiments she brought out so that I could let the spices do what they do best in opening my sinuses. All in all, the food, cleanliness, ambience, and service were all phenomenal. I've tried all the Pho places in Plano area and I always keep coming back to Pho Mac. I recommend visiting during the weekday as Saturday's are usually extremely busy. Soup is always served very efficiently within 5-10 minutes, and in my opinion is more flavorful compared to other places in the area. I really like the atmosphere and their staff and will be coming back more often in the future! read more
