Thai place is one of the best pho places around in Plano Frisco area! The people who work there are super friendly and they always serve up the best Pho! Yesterday we tried the chicken rice plate and it wasn't really our style but it's just personally preferences, other than that the pho was amazing! They recently opened u pa boba place next door called Mac and for the time being if u order from pho back you get a free regular drink from Mac! Definitely go check it out ASAP! read more

This place has horrible service! We came in and sat down for 10+min and no one came to take our order. When we went to the counter to order there, the waiters refused to take our order and told us we can only order sitting down. The lady was very rude and told us to just go sit down. Absolutely terrible service. Went to order take out because I thought it would be easier and was craving for che ba mau. Didn't realize that they put peanuts on the desert because I've never seen it with peanuts in my decades alive and I'm Vietnamese. Well, I'm allergic and all they said can do was scrape the peanuts off. This is absolutely the worst thing you can do. Would've been nice if they replaced it or cancelled the order but you know, my bad, I didn't expect there to be peanuts on this desert. Didn't want to cause a scene so I just tossed it out and took the loss. The pho was also lacking in a lot of flavor. I can't believe this is what passes for pho here. Maybe I've been spoiled growing up in LA. The meat also tasted a bit frozen which really sucked. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for Viet food. Yum! Pho craving satisfied with a large bowl of flavorful broth, (did not need ANY additional seasoning other than adding herbs) soft tender noodles, and fresh soft slices of eye round steak. This place for sure has the smallest portion of Pho I ever had. I have been to a lot of cities in the country and tried many vietnamese noodle restaurants. About 2 weeks ago, I went there with my wife and 2 kids. Everyone was still hungry after the meals. read more

I was going to give them 3 stars, but after the mediocre meal, I saw a member of the kitchen staff, walk into the restroom with their gloves on, and walked out of the restroom with those same gloves and walk into the kitchen. Then that staff member walked out of the kitchen with to-go meal with what looked like the same gloves for my coworker who requested me to get her something, which I did after my meal. It was a rice meal but that doesn't matter because the meal went right into the trash outside. I am not going to bring questionable food to my friend. I don't really ever make reviews but I just cannot understand how this place has almost 5 stars. My experience was terrible. Mind you the service wasn't that bad but the food and the environment it was not acceptable. When my friends and I walked in we were not greeting and stood there waiting to be helped. A customer was the one who told us to wait to be seated. We waited and soon enough a gentleman sat us in a booth. I had a child with me and he did not offer me and extra chair or anything for her. We sat with our menus for about 5 mins before being greeted and asked for our order. There was only 2 other tables seated who had already left and there were NINE tables that needed to be bused! And they stayed dirty the entire time! It was gross to be surrounded by dirtiness while I ate. So once our orders are taken the food came out fast. We ordered shrimp spring rolls and fried egg rolls and they were good, can't complain about that. Next, our soup was brought out. I ordered the chicken pho with vegetables added and this is where my biggest issue arose. The broccoli and mushrooms in it tastes rotten. The soup broth tasted like soap! read more

Ok, I haven't even gotten my food yet, but have to leave a review. I'm waiting on a takeout order & just watched as the young man working at the register pulled out a whole bag of Dum Dum suckers so two kids could find the flavors they wanted when they didn't see what they liked in the little jar by the register. As I was typing this, he came over & asked if I wanted something to drink while I wait (I didn't call my order in ahead). And before I could finish my typing, my food was already ready for me (from order to door, less than 15 minutes). Amazingly sweet staff...gave me a free water bottle while I was waiting for my to-go order and even stopped me before I drove away to put the fried egg I ordered on my bún chay when they could've easily just let me drive away. My go to pho place in Frisco. The true test of good pho is when the broth can stand up on it's own. Pho Mac delivers in spades. Their pho has that perfect combination of beefy brothiness, and the variety of meats round out a fantastic experience. Frisco has many pho restaurants, yet none can hold a candle to Pho Mac in terms of delivering that perfect bowl of Pho. That other chain always drowns their pho in MSG and I always feel sick after eating there. However, Pho Macs pho is able to combine a savory soup, that tastes both "pho"ish and light at the same time. I highly recommend this place if you're craving a steaming bowl of delicious flavor. read more

I have been going here for a few years and always enjoyed. Unfortunately this was my last time coming here. The ONLY reason why I gave 2 stars was because the food is actually tasty. My husband and I ordered 2 large white meat chicken pho. Had only 3 slices of chicken each so we let them know and they brought some more out. My husband likes extra lemons (limes here) in his water and they gave him 2 small slices. He asked for more lemons. I also asked for extra bean sprouts (as I always do because I love a lot of them in my soup). Now it's time to go and needed to go containers. They brought us 2 very small pint containers which would not hold our soup to go and asked for a larger container. Now here's why they get only 2 stars. They said they can't get me larger containers cause it costs them too much. Now we each had 3 small containers (that's 6). Got the bill .... they charged us for the lemons, and the bean sprouts. This may be petty to some but when I questioned it they still kept it on the bill. So if you go .... don't ask for any extras. read more

In addition to that, the restaurant is small and they had 5 servers so they defiantly weren't understaffed what they do need to do is though is figure out how to be efficient. The rice dishes were pretty good, the Vietnamese coffee is the best you'll find for miles and miles, but it doesn't live up to the dish regarding its namesake. The Pho was lacking in flavor and the other ingredients (noodle, meat & veggies) didn't do anything to make it better. It was the first pho restaurant we tried since we moved here. I ordered the regular dac biet. It exceeded my expectations and rivaled Pho 75 back in Northern Virginia, which is the standard that I gauge all pho by. Without a doubt, the best Vietnamese I've had in the area. I just walked out with a Vietnamese coffee and a vermicelli bowl. The coffee is PERFECT. Very good Pho. Definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for Vietnamese food in Frisco. I always get Pho with all the beef parts. Compared to all the other Pho places I've been to, this place cooked the meat really well. Other places would usually undercook the beef parts such as tendons and meatballs and make the parts chewy and nasty. This place cooked the meat well enough that all the beef parts had distinguishable tastes and texture. The meatballs tasted great and was easy to bite into. The tendons and fatty beef practically melted in my mouth. Overall, nothing negative I can say about this place. Very clean, organized, and customer service is friendly. read more

Most good pho restaurants are normally found in such places like Garland or Arlington where populated Vietnamese people live. I found many pho places in Collin county lack of authentic as they serve more for Americans. The price is understandably higher as the rent is higher up here. In addition, it is closed to where most young professionals live. My family and I only tried pho. We will come back to try other menu items. I found Pho Mac is better than other pho in the area. The only complaint is that the beef brisket in my special pho had too much fat. If they could cut the fat out then it would be perfect. read more
